He was diligent to ask all the questions to make sure the height of our curtains were appropriate for each room in the house. We had Jesse B. scheduled to install a wall mount and cord cover for a new TV. Jesse called the day before to confirm the appointment time, showed up at the scheduled time, completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up the work area. There were a couple of hiccups due to wrong sized parts supplied by the manufacturer and homeowner but both were resolved with quick trips to a nearby store and the job was completed to our satisfaction. We have used Ace Handyman in the past and will use them again when the need arises.

I am very pleased again with the service from Ace Handyman. Jim removed a ceiling light and replaced it with a ceiling light with a fan. The emails updating his arrival time and telling me who was coming are great. Jim completed the installation, took away the trash, and cleaned up nicely. A polite, efficient, and professional handyman. I really appreciate the quality of the service and highly recommend Ace Handyman Services of the Outer Banks.

I don't know how they got so many good reviews, though, because I never got a quote for painting my garage door that I placed online through their website. I originally got an automated response email confirming my quote was submitted, and it sounded very professional and eager to help. I was very excited.Unfortunately, after a WEEK of them ignoring me I had to call them to ask them when I'm going to get a quote. Even though it was a Friday during business hours, I got an answering service. The person could only take a message for the business. What?Then the next day (Saturday) they call me and leave a message and basically only said "we normally aren't open on weekends". Ok well what about the quote? What about the entire week I waited? So useless and unprofessional!I wish I would've been able to pick up the phone when they called but I wasn't available. Having said that, I did call back only 43 minutes later and got another dang answering service person. So incredibly useless.So you'd figure after all that they'd call me or email me on Monday (10 days after my original request for quote), but I got nothing. No call, no email. I'm honestly baffled how they have such good reviews. Some people said how fast they respond, how quickly they make themselves available for the job, how communicative they are, how they're unlike other people in OBX who don't respond, etc. I was SO EXCITED because I need a lot of different type of work done around my house. I even told them that in the original email request for quote to paint the garage door. You'd figure they actually want people's business!Instead, they are not professional at all. It's like they're not really running a business at all if they can't even give me a quote after almost a week and a half. Now I'm in a bind because my HOA gave me a deadline and these people wasted a huge chunk of time ignoring me.I hope this helps other people who see all these amazing reviews and based on that expect a reliable, professional company to do work for them. I don't know if they're under new management or they just gave up caring or what, but Ace Handyman Services was the biggest disappointment ever. I don't know how they're even in business if they don't even respond to customers. STAY AWAY!

Doesn't follow through. Reached out to request repair services and after the initial consultation I provided the requested information and then never heard back. Followed up again with no response. Instead of just stating he wasn't interested or skilled in the project, he drops the ball and will leave you hanging. Wasted my time as I could have continued to look for someone who is more competent and much more professional!

We contracted ACE Handyman Services to power wash our building. Jesse from ACE Handyman Services (Outer Banks) was awesome, fast, efficient and friendly! Not only did come by the the day prior to assess the building, discuss water access and confirm the appointment, but he also called us the day off to see if he could show up early! He completed the work successfully and swiftly, AND checked in and out with our office before and after completing the project! It was such a great pleasure to have yet another awesome experience from ACE Handyman Services. Ace Handyman Rob replaced two exterior doors with frames in my home. I was surprised a “handyman” service could even accomplish this since it involved some pretty serious construction skills. The house has settled, and it took patience and skill to get one door to operate properly. He also repaired several areas of drywall that had been damaged by roof leaks. His work is professional,, neat, and he is also a really personable young man. I am considering using Ace to replace the surface of my deck, as well.Update-the rear door did not close properly after a while. I returned home from a short vacation and found the door had blown open during the 12/23 storm. It was 32 degrees in here and all my floor plants were dead. When I called, Brandon came right away and worked on the door into the evening. It worked better, but he sent Josh a couple of days later to further improve the functioning. I’m really impressed by Ace Handyman’s standing behind their work and would call them again

price paid very high for the poor quality of workmanship ....contractor who did the work did not even properly complete the job; gaps left behind, damaged pieces did not get replaced (despite plenty of material to do the job) and were left behind and did not repair flooring as expected. Ace Handyman Services continues to impress me. We arrived for Thanksgiving to a loose gutter banging against the house. Andrew suggested a temp solution and scheduled Ryan to come the day after the holiday. He quickly secured the gutter and was a pleasure to talk with.
