I love this store especially when you don’t feellike cooking and you get a home cooked meal to eat. I mean a REAL home cooked meal; not something someone just threw together to make money off of. They also have a lot more to offer. A real hidden gem if you haven’t been there yet.

It was great. I had pork loin with gravy over rice and greens very good southern food will eat there againCouldn't decide on hamburgers and gravy fried chicken or the pork chops were tempting

I purchased Oxtails, rice and green beans on 07/21/2023 appx 12:30pm when food should be hot and fresh. I work in Henderson but live in Raleigh, so I opened the plate when I got to Raleigh; looks were terribly deceiving, the oxtails were left-overs from possibly 5 or more days and sitting in a bed of oil, ugh! so oily, the rice had a watery taste and the beans were over seasoned with some type of blend seasoning. One of my co-workers said the food was good but I was disappointed to say the least and the 3 stars are for their effort and let's not talk about the *fly* that was in the food case. I won't be back

The grill and the lady’s at the grill are awesome. Great food and service. Cashiers not so much. They are always to worried about looking at there phones and gossiping to each other to pay attention to what the customer needs from behind the counter.

The food here is amazing, customer service at grill can at times be lacking as others had mentioned but I’ve also had wonderful customer service there as well from some staff members. Hopefully the others will learn and improve. The store offers products I never see anywhere else such as bottled mr.pibb so overall I love this place. The food is some of the best you can get around, true homemade delicious country cooking.

Gooooood good Ole country food, even have Ox tails, fantastic corn pudding and candy hams.Good down to earth prices too. Fish, fried, baked and BBQ chicken too. Meat and two vegetables $10.00 or less

When you get the feeling for a heart attack in a sack this is the place. I eat fried leg quarters and the grilled pork chop on a roll. Girls at the grill counter are indifferent unless you are male. But, I don't need a lot of coddling. It is what it is.

The new owners need to reevaluate their employees because there are some of them that are horrible to customers. You can get what you need and their dinners are really good. It would definitely be 5 stars if they took care of the employee situation.

Folks this is the place to go for some really down to earth country food. And big plates too, most plates go for about $9.99 a plate you can't hardly eat it all either.

Better quality food and prices compared to Golden Skillet in Henderson. Food is SOOOO f’ng good!! When I’m in the mood for country cooking, this is my go to place! Highly recommend!!

Says they close at 9. Truth is they close as close to 8 as they can get away with. They turn the parking light lots out to appear close even before that. Leaves the lot dark and unsafe. They need to change there hours if they are going to continue those odd practices.

The food is good but very pricey and the cashier is slow they have two checkouts and only use one, also when you pump gas and need a receipt you have to go back in and get in the long checkout line and wait forever it seems just for a receipt, none of the pumps never have printer paper for receipts in them..

Down home cooking, makes you feel right at home. Great selection of foods and such for those looking for a quick bite to eat or snacks on the go. Highly suggest taking a swing in sometime.

THEY HAVE REALLY GOOD FOOD. HOMECOOKED FOOD!! THIS PLACE STAYS "PACKED!" THE ONLY THING IS IF YOU HAVE A FISH ALLERGY THINGS CAN GET FUZZY. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, IT IS A GREAT PLACE TO STOP IN AND GET A GOOD MEAL!

It's a convenient little grocery store with good prices. However, some of the dry goods were a bit long in the tooth. Quality was ok, but I'd buy my dishwasher soap elsewhere from now on. The staff were really nice and I enjoyed shopping here.

Ordered a pig a week ago. Just called to make sure it was there to pick up at 4:30am. Was told no pig was ordered. Having a pig picking tomorrow but no pick. Annual customer. But last time we will ever do business.
