The young woman who answered the phone on a Saturday when the office is open hung up on me. My family started seeing dr. Darch who opened this practice about 40 years ago as I mentioned to this young lady who would also not give me her name. My daughter called 2 days ago to confirm what time she would need to be there and was told to be there by 12 noon. She arrived at 11: 35 after driving an hour and a half to get there and was turned away. Her puppy needed a shot for his arthritis so we could all enjoy a family vacation yet the clinic and more importantly this young lady was rude and could not agree that this was bad customer service. The injection would have taken less than 5 minutes yet the woman would not even confer with the dr. Our entire family is disappointed in the horrible way a person and puppy have been treated.

We first came to KAH to get a second opinion for our pit mix, Missie. We informed the Dr.s of the tests and scans that another vet performed. They were so kind and even gave us a discount since we had to have KAH run tests that we paid the other vet for. They were very thorough and made sure that we knew our options, and the risks and benefits of each option. Unfortunately, our girl had some issues that would hinder her from living a normal, pain free life so we had to euthanize her. The staff were all so kind and understanding. They even gave her special treats before they let her sleep. It was such a sad experience, but the staff made it all very peaceful. We have since adopted a puppy and they have been great with all of her routine visits. My cousin has her litter mate, so we bring him in at the same time for his shots. Every time we take them in, everyone is friendly and they do a thorough checkup of both pups. Last night, our London hurt her leg running up steps so we took her in the next morning. We once again had a great experience. The Dr. did not pressure us into additional tests or scans, but he informed us of his findings, gave his opinion, and let us make the decision on whether more test were needed. She is now recovering at home with the medication that was prescribed. I cannot recommend this office enough!!! I will definitely use them for all of my pet care needs!

I really love Kittrell Animal Hospital. Everyone is so nice and is willing to help as quick as possible. I find their rates are very reasonable. The Veterinarian Association has destroyed vet care in America. Real veterinarians-RIP. Vets today are no more than an obstacle between you and the meds your pet needs. The vets are "the problem" that needs treatment. The care is always utterly useless except as a money maker for them. A one way street. Ive learned to research ingredients and source else where. Also natural remedies. I wouldn't be surprised if they try and outlaw natural remedies next. Starve the parasites out. Dont give any of them your money.

I took my Ellie girl when she passed away and now I am back with my Bobo. Dr. Courtney was absolutely wonderful with him as well as the others. She took care of him and recommended treatment. I am taking my Ace next week for a visit ☺ 🤗.

I had to have my beloved coco euthanized after 11 years of having her by my side. Unfortunately our regular vet Courtney was not there that day, but Dr. Alex was there and took very good care of my coco. It was one of the hardest days of my 40 years. I had Coco cremated and not only did the staff of kittrell animal hospital take very good care of my baby, but they took good care of me and were very respectful of her ashes. After a few days I received a sympathy card in the mail from the staff. It meant so much to me. They took such good care of her when she was alive and in her death.

Thank you so much Dr. Schulz for gettin my little buddy cleaned up. He went from crying and limping on 3 paws with the fourth bloody and hurt….to walking on all four, eating up a storm and much happier in less than 24 hours.

When our dog Roscoe got a snake bite, our usual Vet didn't have the antivenin if needed. After recommendations from friends, we got the immediate help he needed at Kittrell Animal Hospital.Thankfully, he is recovering. The staff and doctors were very knowledgeable and professional yet kind and compassionate in this event.One thing I learned is that you do not need an appointment for nonemergency's and any follow-up visits. This is extremely helpful especially when care is needed. The wait times are not long either nor a compromise on care when the lobby is full.Can't say enough about this vet service. They truly care and take the time for all your pet's concerns.

I learned about this veterinary practice from a former employee of another practice which is also good but very expensive. I am pleased with my dogs' care at Kittrell not only because it is more affordable and provides good care but because they have a walk-in clinic which makes it more convenient when time is tight or there is an unexpected emergency. On my last visit I received reassuring news that a surgery for my elderly pet that had formerly been advised was really not in the pet's best interest. The vet was clearly advocating for the pet over profit, as she should have, and I was very relieved.

On Saturday, December 9, 2023 my dog was hit by a car. I called ahead to let them know I was on the way. Upon arrival, I went in to make them aware that I was there with my dog. They told me they would be with me shortly. After 20 minutes or more I went back in to see why they hadn't come to get him. I told them my dog had been hit by a car and thought my dog was in shock and wanted them to just come look at him and make sure he wasn't dying. They told me they had 2 other people in front of me and they would get to me when they could. No one would take the time to come out and look at him or help me. I got the impression they couldn't care less and a dog hit by a car was no big deal to them. i just found it really hard to believe that I was at an animal hospital and no one was willing to take 2 minutes to assess his injuries and if they couldn't help me to at least tell me what i needed to do. I completely understand people being busy and how appointments work but I would have never believed a dog being hit by a car would have been treated in that manner. After being told they would get to me as soon as they finished with the other customers, I left to find a vet that would help my dog. I don't recommend this animal hospital to anyone!!!

I love the walk-in service that works for my schedule, or schedule changes! The staff are all very friendly and attentive to those waiting to be sure we are in the queue and where we need to be waiting. The doctor I have seen both times I was there with my cat was reassuring about my concerns and efficient with the exam and shots. I love that they get the job done while conversing with me and offering helpful tips for her dry skin, etc. This office is not close to where I live. I come here because their reputation is good. Not so much for the vets closer to me!

As a walk in with a very sick dog, they had us in, X-rays done, diagnosed and out quickly without feeling rushed. My little guy is doing better and the pricing was also reasonable. 10\10 recommend

The staff at Kittrell Animal Hospital have wonderful hearts, honestly desiring what is good for your pets. I brought my dog to them in pretty bad shape and they educated me on proper care and what was needed. She needed surgery, and she will also need heart worm treatments. They did not price gouge, were very fair to me altogether. And the whole process was made better by a pleasant staff that worked in a very caring way for my dog's safety and care.Edit: After 5 years of going to Kittrell Animal Hospital for our dogs and cats, and we still love their service. Our dog recently had a mass removed, and this while I was unemployed and could afford very little. They allowed me to be in control of what I would spend, the timeline, etc. They were understanding, and did a great job for our dog. I have since recommended them to my daughter, whose dog had hip issues, and she was very happy with them, as well.

We have used Kittrell Animal Hospital since it was opened by Lee Darch. Our babies have always receive prompt and quality care from this office. We miss Lee, but Dr Courtney & Holly are the best. Very caring and compassionate for the animals. We drive 45 minutes to bring our fur babies here, pasting three other vets on the way. Clean and professional team. Thanks for everything you do.

I bring all my dogs here. I love the staff there. Only reason I gave 3 stars is because I wish they would allow you to make appointments. It's walk-in, first come first serve and that make you have to be there so long for an check-up. I basically have to clear my morning. The last time I took my dog I was there about 3 hours.

Our dog, Cowboy, was bitten by a snake. Cowboy is a rescue dog and we've had him for only a few months, so we aren't established with a regular vet yet. We were referred to Kittrell. We showed up with no appointment and were seen within 10 minutes. The front desk staff, the vet tech, and Dr. Max were great with Cowboy (and us). He took to them right away. We got excellent care and a prescription (Cowboy is fine, no antivenom was needed). The facility was clean and neat and didn't smell like a kennel - so someone clearly does a lot of cleaning! We had a great experience and are thinking that we've found our new vet! We would highly recommend Kittrell Animal Hospital.

This place was recommended to us by a friend, and drove over an hour to get there. Our 14 year old puppy had a large tumor removed - see lower side of the belly in picture posted. We could not be more happier. Will go back for vet services.They are wonderful!
