I've been using petsense for awhile. They seem to be doing and ok job at first. After some time they started changing the appointments due to lack of staff or personal issues from the staff. Today I had and appointment @3 which I let them know that I would be late they said that was ok. I called @3:12 to let them know I was on the way they refused to take my pet because I wasn't there by 3:30. Now this happened after they rescheduled his appointment several times, lying about who was going to groom him as well as calling the wrong # to see if I could bring him in earlier once I got the message they had filled it already. I truly feel like and exception could have been made in this situation. I've been a loyal customer and have tried to keep my $$$ spent in kinston n.c. But the service we get from our hometown store is not worth the cost they charge for one and they don't care about their longtime customers. Very upset because my poodle has serve allergies and they are aware of this. It's essential that his grooming stay within 3-5 weeks.

I have been dealing with petsense for about 3 years now. Just recently they have became very unprofessional with appointments and picking if they want to groom your pet or not. I have a total of 5 minature schnauzers. Just recently I have had a litter so it was hard having all of them groomed. I took the father in there to finally get groomed and the YOUNGEST lady in there was very rude. She claimed he was matted bad and so on. From my understanding she didn't want to groom him!. To make a long story short Carmen that were a worker there has always cut my father dog hair and she was the BEST. I see now, some are pet lover's and love their job. To others its just a JOB!!

Waited for 30 minutes watching two people working on one dog brushing out the fur, only to be told they do not have time to trim my dogs nails. I came back the next day and was told that they were short-handed and could not cut his nails again. I will never go back for anything again. It does not take that long to trim a dog's nails. I wish I could do it myself.

Laura did an awesome job with Amelia "Millie" Belle's first grooming. It didn't take long, everything was at I asked and Millie Belle enjoyed it. We'll keep coming back! The store was also very well stocked with many choices for everything.

Husband walked in on the groomer being very rough with Our Sweet 8 pound Izzy...yanked her by the paw and the jaw...groomer did bit realize she was being watched. Also appt was at 12 Izzy was her 1st appt...at 4 pm she had only completed her belly and back...I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Love our local Petsense especially bath & grooming. Carmen does a phenomenal job on both our dogs and is always pleasant & accommodating! They love her too! After a visit, they look fantastic. Shop & support locally especially where you find helpful, friendly & professional folks.

Grooming salon is amazing!! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially when it came to me staying with my dog while his nails were trimmed, to help lower his anxiety!! Thank yall!!!

White guy with black hair is very rude, I came in the store looking for ringworm cream for dogs. I asked him where can I find the cream and his response was, read the signs it’s signs all over the store. I just left the store afterwards, don’t feel comfortable spending my money there. New to the area and by the way, there’s no signs describing what I needed that’s why I asked for help

I take my golden doddle Clover to Carmen every month to be groomed. She's a little hyper but Carmen is great with her and always does an awesome job. Clover loves her!

Stephanie does a great job grooming. Very happy with how she treats my furbaby too. The other girl was not treating a Yorkie very nice though, if it had been mine I would have gone back on and stopped her. I would sit in your car and watch how they treat your furbaby.

I'm disappointed in the manager, for her lack of professionalism in scheduling and attending interviews. She missed out on a great employee, not myself, because she judged a book by it's cover, and didn't have the nerve to say anything to the person. Instead, she avoided phone calls after skipping the interview, then was dishonest about why she wasn't there. They will NEVER receive my business again.

Went in looking for a cone for my girls who were just spayed. None of the 3 employees up front even acknowledged me even though they saw me walk up and down every aisle twice. They were so involved in conversation the store could have burned down and I doubt they would have noticed. After a thorough search of every aisle, no cone. What pet store doesn't sell cones?? I went to Petsmart and found them quite easily because their customer service rocks.

Love Stephanie!!!!!. She is the most beautiful , patient person . She treats Willy, my toy poodle like she really loves him, and that's most important to me. I am always happy with the way she grooms him

Always has helpful friendly employees. Now have their own brand of dog food that's healthy for families with multiple dogs on a budget. My family has 3 dogs (Chi-pin 7 yrs, Shih-poo 10 yrs, and Bullador 10 months). They all love the new food, which is usually a hard thing to do with 2 picky eaters, and since they are having a push sale right now, was able to get a 30 lbs bag for less than $20! Even at regular price still $10 cheaper than the food we used to get for a 28 lbs bag. Going to start taking our Bullador there to help get her socialized (advise from an employee since we are unable to get her out much and don't have many ppl come to our home).

Wanted to just get my dogs nails trimmed. Before you could just do that and that’s it’s. Now they make you buy a bath and make an appointment as well. Also limited products and got rid of products that were great.

I made an online order and bought something inside, the one heavyset guy sat there the whole time like 30 mins I'd guess and the other guy just stood and talked to him he didn't even ring out my online order they called me like 4-5 days later we have your order

Seriously, who cries over a dog's hair cut? It might be time to get a hobby or two. I have taken my Shih Tzu there since the store opened and have never been disappointed. They always get us in, even when I call last minute, and she always looks adorable when I pick her up.

It was an okay store for Kinston. They didn't have any live feeder mice so I had to get some little frozen Pinky's. Didn't have allot of selection as far as reptiles go, but they did have a whole lot of dog and cat products

Was going to run a little bit late for my appointment, the staff called me 10 past my appointment time to see if I was still going and I was. By the time I got there they told me that they couldn't take me dog because I had passed their 20 minute rule of no show. I get the rule, but why not tell me that when I made the appointment the day prior and when you called me and wait till I'm there to basically tell me you won't see my dog. Rather go somewhere else and not deal with that type of treatment.
