Just went today for the gun range. This was a really nice place and well stocked. Reminded me of a Cabellas in the middle of Kinston. Range and rangemaster was top notch and will definitely go back since our options here in Greenville are limited. No annual membership required.

Friendly laidback atmosphere….a nice variety of merchandise options from the prissier selections of Lily Pulitzer to all things for the “alpha male” in your life for the great outdoors!! A more intimate outdoorsy shopping experience for those that love Cabela’s or the old Bass Pro shops! Some expensive choices available with the awesome sale racks scattered around!!

Great tackle selection and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Prices are a little on the high side, but not outrageously so. They also have very clean bathrooms which is nice when you're coming from far away like I do.

I'd give 10 stars if I could. We used to stop here back in the 90's on the way to the beach, and honestly hadn't been in the store in maybe 15 years...just hadn't thought about it. Last week my son saw on Facebook where they had a brand of shirt he's been looking for so we stopped Friday on the way to AB....could not believe how big this place has gotten. Shooting and archery ranges, tons of stuff for my wife to look at, room to pull in with our 34' boat and no trouble getting in or out. Bet we were asked 30 times if we needed anything. The guys at the gun counter were hopping and STILL insisted on showing me guns even after I told them I wasn't buying, just looking. Great selection of shotguns, and I'll be coming back for sure. Going to be a regular stop for us again.

A gentleman recently saw me wearing my Neuse Sport shop shirt and told me that he'd been there earlier that day. To which I replied that my daughter and I are in Y-Guides, and we stop there on the way to camp ever year to get a shirt as part of our tradition. He said, "stop, you just described my childhood." That perfectly sums up this must stop shop located in Kinston NC. A quirky destination that has a little of everything for the outdoorsman or woman from fishing to clothing, to beach toys, to arts and crafts, to a gun range, stopping here is a tradition you don't want to miss out on.

Neuse Sport Shop is my home for 2 of my favorite hobbies. They have a great selection. They stock Hellcat rods in the Kinston location for the catfish enthusiasts. The newly remodeled firearms area is improved and they expanded their handgun inventory and became more competitive with pricing there. Indoor shooting range also will not break the bank. I would recommend.

We stopped here on the way to the beach to go camping and it was great that they had extra large parking spaces to fit our camper! This store had a little bit of everything! Nice clothing and decor items and lots of fishing and hunting gear! We found life vests here that were cheaper than Walmart, so I was very happy with that!

The employees were very friendly and helpful. The store was very clean. I had no idea that women would enjoy shopping there as much as men would. I had a blast... They were having a sale and I got some really nice stuff.

The little roadside stop I remember from childhood has grown up. It's now sophisticated and polished. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that I miss my remembered humble and slightly tattered, but always clean and friendly, childhood store.Edited to give that final star. NSS remains my go to for a soda and bathroom stop on my way to Beaufort.

Neuse sports shop is the best sports shop in Eastern North Carolina . The staff is very helpful and friendly. If they don't have what you are looking for, they can get it. You won't be disappointed..

The sport shop is a great place to visit,I stop in all the time when going to the beach for bait and pretty much anything that has to do with fishing including fishing license and also done a few boat titles also .and they have a great hunting section also so it's just an all around great store for any outdoorsman or woman .

Their knife prices are ridiculously overpriced to say the least. As an authorized dealer they should prices should be set at MAP pricing. Charging $199.99 for a kershaw link that goes for $123 everywhere else and with free shipping is ridiculous. I guess they don't won't to move their inventory.

They have a great selection of over priced hunting and fishing gear. I go there to buy bait and that is all. I can get nearly everything else they sell for 25% less or more just by shopping around.

I have always liked this place all the way back when it was close to the 11and 70 intersection. They hve a great selection of so many items from fly fish to big game fish, and dove hunting to african big game stuff. They have come a long ways. From way back then. Competitive prices.

I have been coming here since I was a kid, but recently my wife and I went to the indoor range. Very clean, and professional team. Plan to bring your own ear muffs and safety glasses or you will have to buy some there. If it is your first time, you will need to watch a short video and take a 10 question test, so plan for that. All-in-all, really great range.

They have everything, I didn’t get out of there spending no less than $100, loved it. From fishing gear to clothes to holiday supplies they have everything even stuff for pets! One stop shop for sure

Nice range. Like that it's daily rather than hourly. Lets you take several breaks without feeling rushed. I feel customers are more relaxed than some of the hourly places I've shot.Staff has been friendly and helpful. Nice to have the RSOs deal with idiots quickly and firmly. All of or safety benefits.

I've been going here for YEARS with my surf fishing family. We went down for Labor Day, stopped at both locations. I couldn't help but notice they're catering to more "upper class" individuals. This use to be a great place for a family of any walk of life to get nice items at low prices. The selection of higher end items is great but not everyone is looking to pay those prices. I also noticed they've basically quit carrying the Neuse sport shop t-shirts, our family loved them. I guess the profit wasn't big enough. With that said if you want a t-shirt it's going to be name brand and $25+. I feel like they're forgetting the folks that helped this business become so successful and a staple for salt water fishermen. Really disappointing to see what Neuse's Sport Shop has turned into.

As I write this, I recently signed up for the New Shooter class. Talk about great service! The service is personal, helpful, and informative. Although I am a beginner when it comes to handguns, the staff did not make me feel like I was dumb or that I couldn't learn. Thanks so much to Sean for answering all my questions and being so helpful. This will be my go to sports shop from now on for all my sporting goods and range training. I look forward to taking as many classes as you offer. Thank you so much for your help!
