Went in with the goal of building a raised flower bed; wasn’t 100 percent sure where the materials were and what materials I would need, but Jacob in lumber was very helpful and knowledgeable of what I would need. Throughly impressed with the customer service I received during this visit.

We were in Lowe's yesterday and finally they had 1 cashier working. There was one customer being checked out and the cashier was rude to that gentleman even turning his back to the customer while on his phone. He then proceeded to check us out, never speaking to us,never putting his phone down and again proceeded to turn his back to us. We literally had to ask him to bag our stuff and for the receipt. At this point a young lady came over and I asked her for a manager, she said she was one, and I asked her what was with the cashier's attitude, explained to her how he had acted towards us and the other customer. He then started raising his voice and saying he didn't have an attitude. The "manager" had to tell him to stop! I think Lowes needs to step up and run their stores better. Customer service is one of the most important things in any business.

Ordered a big appliance on sale over the Christmas holiday. Picked up several days later. When we arrived for curbside pickup, we parked in a curbside pickup space. Two employees brought the appliance out, handed us the receipt and helped us load the appliance in our truck. Great customer service with several, almost daily reminders were sent by email to ensure that we picked up the item purchased. Another employee came out to ensure it was loaded.

My best advice is to buy your appliances elsewhere. The ones sold by Lowe's are not serviceable. I have bought three of them since I moved to Kinston five years ago. I had no choice but to buy from Lowe's since there are is no competition in this town. I repaired my fridge within eight months due to a defective fan in the freezer. The stove needed a new sensor in a burner within 18 months. The gas dryer that I purchased at the of January, 2024 would not start this morning. I bought an extended warranty for it but it is still covered by the merchant's warranty. Lowe's directed me to the manufacturer, GE. The service center is not open on weekends. I phoned Lowe's again and was transferred to the paint department. It seems that few people actually work in the store and that those people are only in the store to make sales. My new plan is to drive to Home Depot the next time that I need to purchase an item that cannot be found at Ace Hardware. I am done with Lowe's. The rest of my advice is to never buy and extended warranty from Lowe's.

I had to drive over 30 mines to this store to for an item my local store didn't have. I ordered online for store pick up. Although the website said the store was unusually busy and it would take longer for my order to be ready it was ready in only a couple of hours. When we arrived we were able to park and do curbside. We were loaded and done in only a few minutes. The guy who brought our items out was very friendly and nice.

I had a great experience at lowes for my flooring installation. Mrs Tracy Flowers in flooring was very patient and knowledgeable of everything we needed and answered all our questions. Thank you once again Mrs. Tracy you truly are God sent. 10+

Always friendly and helpful. They have a lot of staff here. Which means, when you need help, someone's there. It's so overwhelming for me to just wander the store. Especially when I know exactly what I need, I just don't know where to find said item. Staff always knows what aisle, even when the aisle isn't marked with that item.

0 stars would be my choice, if it was an option. Customer service does not exist here. Was ignored by staff. Staff working in lumber is abrupt, rude, and all around unwilling to be of assistance. Next time, I will drive to another city to get help. Can not recommend.

Delivery driver out on tick bite and saw mill roads in Grifton come speeding through a work zone and when told to slow down, drove back through cussing at the workers with racial slurs and threatening to “turn back around” better get ahold of your people before the people take care of things themselves….

Don't be in a hurry to get estimates done and sent to lowes there contractors are very slow expect 15 to 30 day wait for estimates.they need to hire more contractors to accommodate there customers

Went in looking for four items that were in stock in hometown Lowe's, but the Kinston store was on the way home from the beach. One item was available. One item had an alternative available. One item was special order. And the last item was not carried by the Kinston store. So an average experience, until we get to checkout. Only self service checkout is an option. I don't like self service checkout. Hence the bad review.

Horrible experience. I needed paint. It was 330pm i waited 5 min and many employees walked by and not one asked if i needed help, asked customer service to page someone, after another 15 min I got tired of waiting and yelled at the top of my lungs asking if anyone worked in paint. Still no one came to assist. I left a cart full of items in paint and said a few choice words along with they lost my business. I will not go there again. I will find what I need elsewhere. Customer service is absolutely horrible. Employees walk around doing nothing trying to look busy to get a pay check. It will not let me give it a zero to post but I’d say this store should receive a zero or negative star! Happened 01Aug2023 and I’m still mad about it today.

Leslie, Jenna, and others at the store went above and beyond for me. They were patient with all my "stupid" questions and no request was too small. Thye helped my husband sign up for a Lowes card as well as get am installation estimate set up which was able to happen the next day. No complaints at all.

We started a countertop project with the Goldsboro store but were very disappointed with the customer service we received regarding a pricing error they made and declined to resolve so we went to the Kinston store seeking a solution. Allen Flanagan quickly identified the cause of the pricing error (which Goldsboro failed to do), discussed with his manager and they agreed to honor the price we expected despite the error not having been theirs. Great attitude, great customer service! From now on, the Kinston store will get all of our Lowe's business!

Poor customer service from a supervisor. Was trying to buy a washer, 1st she could not tell me about the product, told me it would come with a manual and to read it. Then se told me it could only be delivered on Wednesday or Friday between 8 to 12 or 12 to 4 and asked if I wanted morning or afternoon. Then she told me the product was not in stock and unknown when it would be in stock! . I finally walked away sand went to Highland appliances. And bought a washer from them. Go to hiland instead. Don't waste your time at lowes!

Poor customer service, managers or staff don't know much and rudely tell you to call customer service for further help, no longer do exchanges in store... This is the only major hardware store in Kinston but because of the way you're treated as a customer you rather not even go there.

We have had many issues at this location.It never fails that any staff member we ask a question to, will spend more time complaining about previous customers or going off about their job, we will stand there listening to the staff's issues before we even get a chance to ask where something is.And when they do finally answer your question, it is to point down a long aisle and describe the next person you need because this isn't their department.Recently we placed a large order at the front desk for over 16 thousand dollars in lumber. After waiting for fifteen minutes to check out because the staff was talking about their weekend plans. Finally, one asked if we wanted to sign up for a credit card. We told them no, that we were able to pay in full that day.She huffed and said that they would not ring us up because she would not be getting the credit/commission. She then directed us to go to the lumber department and find a staff member to restart the order.We left this particular day and went with a local lumberyard.We still continue to use this location to have access to in-store materials quickly. But man, the staff is just something else there.

This Lowe's showed the items I needed in stock. I couldn't find them, so I asked for help. The first couple of employees saw there was no location listed, so they told me they were out of stock. A third employee attempted to help for a couple of minutes before they let me know that Goldsboro Lowe's showed the items in stock.I drove an extra 15 minutes, and the employees at that Lowe's store went above and beyond to find the items I needed.Next time, I'll just skip the hassle and take the drive.
