Been calling for weeks trying to get a driveway culvert. Out of stock and kept getting different answers on when they would get more. Yesterday I was told they were out with no idea when more would come in. I finally gave up and drove all the way to R Mart Hardware in Pink Hill. R Mart had plenty in stock at a much cheaper price! I wanted to get it from BB for the convenience and to support a local business but after so many weeks it was no longer convenient so I was forced to go elsewhere.

So went into Big Blue on a Saturday trying to purchase a new hedge trimmer. I always preferred shopping at this location due to it carrying the brand stihl. In the shopping isle all of the prices where marked out, I asked an employee what the current price was of this particular hedge trimmer. The employee looked up the current price on her computer and stated that price was now $249.99 so I was thinking amazing there is a sale, I stated I will take it do you have any here? They did have them but they were in the back. So I waited listening to them yell and curse at each other the entire time until they found it. After about 45 minutes we were at the counter where he tells me the price is $370. I asked if there was another judgment available and the employee told me to ask the manager so he called her. After 30 minutes of sitting in silence in the area he called her from I decided she wasn’t coming. so I walked to the front counter where she was standing. I asked her if she agreed with everything happening as well of the 2 hours that has passed at this point? She called her boss who was the gm as she said, he offered $25 less. No thank you. Word is bond in my eyes and if the original price would have been $450 I would have purchased the item no problems. By the way I still need a hedge trimmer if anyone has a preferred Stihl dealer.

What an awful place to shop. No help, standing at the register for 20 minutes. Then a new cashier finally comes to help, and takes literally every person after me. Do not shop here, try to shop local, but I just eventually dropped my stuff and went to another store. They didn't even have some of the basics I needed, anyways.

First time in this store. Was impressed. Met Allen, who was very nice and helpful. Miss Anya (sorry I'm sure misspelled the name?), was very knowledgeable and extremely nice and helpful also. Will DEF go back to this hometown down to earth store for my home, pet and whatever else needs! Thank you Big Blue!

GREAT selection of all kinds of needed items for both the home and farm. Price is fair on everything. My go to FIRST option when I am looking for something.All of the employees have been super helpful, and the management knows my family and I and always helps us with whatever we need.I highly recommend shopping and supporting this business.

I dont go in this store much, just because of the location. The staff were nice. An employee in the back of the store was helpful. The prices are good in comparison to other stores. The only thing is its kinda crowded. They have a lot of merchandise, but doesn't seem like they have enough room.

👍Big Blue is my favorite farm needs/equipment purchase location.👏My husband gives me the best verbal description 🤳'via cell phone' of what he needs. I write his description down📝VERBATIM🗣,then take that 'written note' to Big Blue. I give the note to the Big Blue rep.They take the 'note' & locate the part described. If there is a question regarding which version of the part, I call my husband & 🤳hand my cell phone to the Big Blue rep. The selection 🤞of the correct part is made!As of today, I have a new:Draw bar that hooks into the arms of the tractor for pulling equipment30 inches longstraight & flat1 inch thick3 inches wide2- 1inch round, 3 inch long pieces oneach end of the heavy duty flat barthat has 10-12 holes in itIt is the highest ranked bar in thegroupWith the knowledgeable staff at Big Blue in Kinston, NC: the results are always👏👏 'MISSION ACCOMPLISHED'!!!!👏👏Thank you BIG BLUE😉

Zero stars! went to the store because I saw a sign advertising a sale on planters. I asked looked at the planters and saw that they were ceramic and some were large and very heavy. The cashier, who was leaning over the counter, asked the manager if he could tell me about the planters. He stood there with his hand on his hip and said “what about them” in a curt tone. I spoke up and said I’d like to know the price. He said the best thing to do was to get one and bring it in. I stated that some of them were heavy. He told me to get a buggy. I asked “Are you serious?” and he shook his head yes. I said ok thank you and walked out if he store. I called back and spoke with him and told him about the poor customer service he provided and that I had never been treated that way as a customer looking for help in a store. I expressed that the planter still needed to be lifted and put into the buggy. Maybe a man would be able to but as a small female, it was inappropriate for him to ask me to lift something that heavy when I asked for help. Hebrendered no apology at all. I will never step foot in there again.

A great place to shop. However, it is hard to find marked prices without taking items to checkout to get a price. Would be nice if items were clearly marked. It reminds me of shopping at Walmart were many items are not marked either. It is nice to have at least a friendly person to assist with locating needed merchandise. I do recommend the store when someone ask where they can possibly find a certain item. I have shopped and browsed the store enough to know the merchandise fairly well. One thing that would be nice is to mark prices on all outside plants, not only the bedding plants ( which are usually marked ) The outside appearance would be a nice place to welcome customers but is usually uninviting because of disarray of merchandise. Still one of my favorite places to browse and SHOP. Best of Luck! David Broadway

I all ways like to go and look. Its hard to come out and not buy something. I went today looking a particular item and first clerk i saw was Johnny on the spot. While i was entering the store i spotted a item outside i needed and on the way out at the check out i decided to get that item also. Good Store To Shop.

This hardware store has everything. I don't believe it's as big as Lowe's but I was able to see everything and everything I needed was easy to find. This hardware store is the best and prices are the best. I just love this store.

Went to this store for the first time and was very disappointed. No one said hello to us the whole time we were in the store. Workers looked at us and did not say a word. These were nots kids, but adults who should know better. I never felt like a store did not want our business as I did going to this retail establishment. I prefer giving our business to the small none chain businesses. I will never go there again after the way we were treated.

I was stopped as soon as I walked in because I wear a backpack purse for my health conditions and was told to leave my purse with someone up front while I shopped. I'm sorry but I dont trust anyone , especially if I dont know you I will not leave my bag in the hands of someone I have never laid eyes on. They lost our business, we were looking for farm equipment so we were about to make a large purchase but now.They're loss. Not everyone is a thief !!!!!
