For 14 years, the Stop & Shop has been my second stop upon arriving at OBX (first is 7-11 for a Slurpee) The badge of honor (a window sticker for my jeep) is a must-have every time I arrive there!This year, I got a new pair of slides, several packs of saltwater taffy, some deli meat, some incense, and a few seashells!They sell just about anything you would need to hit the beach in style (including fishing gear) and most of what you'd need for your hotel or cottage to eat well...This store is located in the heart of the Outer Banks and a must-visit whether you are a seasoned beach-goer or new to the scene!They also offer many products made in the Outer Banks and those products are labeled as such.

Got a Ruben today. It tasted fine but, I could have gone to country deli 2 minutes south and got one with 3x the boards head corned beef for the same price, with a pickle! Do yurself a favor and take the 2 minutes extra out of you're day.

They stole my $100 deposit for a keg. They said that you lose the deposit after 2 weeks. I asked them to show me where it says that on the agreement to which they replied, it’s not written down, but someone told you when you picked up your Keg. I knew I would have it for more than two weeks, so had I been told that I would’ve not gotten the keg from them and lost an additional hundred dollars. They said they would talk to the owner and be in contact with me without even trying to take down my contact information.Con artists.

This spot makes the beach access nearby one of the best in OBX. While sandwiches are indeed incredible, they have it ALL here. Really helps you don't have to carry everything to the beach first when this place is so close. Wonderful spot

Got two turkey subs with a side of pasta salad. The first one had no mayo on it when we specifically told them to substitute the jerk sauce for mayo. The second one had barely any mayo which made the sandwich dry. Both subs had very little turkey on it maybe 2 slices and one slice of cheese cut in half and placed a half of slice on each side of the bread. Don’t get me started on the bread which was tasted old and soft. Not real Italian bread you would expect for a hoagie. The pasta salad was tasteless and had barely any dressing in it. Very dry! The reviews on here shock me because they must of never had a real submarine sandwich or maybe these reviews were done by people that are friends with the owner. Extremely disappointing for the long wait we had thinking the place was going to be good.

The cold cuts/subs are so good. The did mess up on of the sandwiches with sauce but it was still good. Lots of meat on the cold cuts/subs and prices are good too, not over priced. Our 2nd time here! We will be back next year for sure.

I’m a little bit crazy about this awesome little shop! It has everything you can imagine from clothing and sunglasses and beach accessories and THE BEST SANDWICHES YOU WILL EVER EAT! As a lifetime local to the outer banks, it has always been the best sandwich shop and while you have a short amount of time before your order is ready, I always browse the huge selection of top end clothing and accessories and find a good little something, too, I hope you visit and enjoy your sandwich and get yourself a personal treat in the shop!!!

What a great place! Offered us a sample of chicken pot pie which was so good we ended up buying some! Also got a bacon egg and cheese biscuit... with Muenster cheese and the bacon was in a ROUND so it fit perfectly on the biscuit!! WOW!! Also they have Reitter & Godiva chocolate bars... who are these geniuses?!?! 🥓🥓🍫🍫💙💙💙

Awesome subs. This was my 3rd year in a row in OBX and found this place on accident when it was the closest place to where we were on the beach for the day. Went in to get beer and couldn't resist getting a sub. I got the Italian and it made for a great lunch while at the beach. I will return every year I visit for now on!

Great little deli. They make great breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Also convenient for grabbing drinks, paper towels, other necessities. Has a touristy beach shop with beach gear, kites, hermit crabs, things like that if you are so inclined.Nice location across from the Days Inn.

What don't they have is the real question...They have so much, you could spend an hour in here and still not see it all. From Flip flops to incense, oils, beer, wine, great unique gifts, excellent deli choices and the hot sauce selection is no joke! If you can think of it, they probably have it. Or at least something to meet your needs.Oh yeah, and don't forget the hats. I got so sun burnt on day 1 at the beach that I needed a cover for my face. The hat might be large brimmed, and a little wild and crazy but it absolutely saved me for the rest of my vacation. And now I love it!! This place is a necessity shop. Enjoy!!!

For many years I patronized Stop n Shop and I never had problem. Would occasionally use the deli. Picked up little things needed for the beach. Stuff like that.But recently I had a very bad experience with the store in ordering a keg for a party. There was a mix up over the size I needed. The tap they provided was broken and I wound up having to buy a (non-returnable) brand new one. No matter how long we poured, we only got cups that were 2/3rds foam. This whole fiasco wound up costing me over $200.00.I wrote a letter (on paper, no less) expressing my frustration with how this whole transaction went down. I hand delivered it to the manager They did not bother with the the courtesy of a reply.That's not how you treat your customers, not if you want them to come back.

This place has everything you forgot to bring with you plus things you arent expecting. They have the wildest, widest collection of hot sauces imaginable. They have Dom! They have hermit crabs! If you bring your kids in here, you can't leave without buying them something...candy, toys, clothes, or one of the aforementioned hermit crabs. They have bait, fishing gear. They also have a deli!

My wife and I have known about this place for awhile now. I usually stopped by to sample the unique hot sauce selection. Today, we were in OBX for a day to get some seafood at Carawan's at another location not far away... We were on our way back home and decided to try out the Deli herre at Stop & Shop. OMG, top notch! We ordered a sub and a corned beef sandwich. The order was ready in less than 5 minutes. We will try them out during peak season and call in the order to the deli. Hope it's just as good!

The Stop N Shop is the "go to place" for all your needs when visiting OBX!! The staff is AWESOME!! The food back in the deli is Top shelf, as well as the beer and wine selection! They anything from Costas, Maui Jim, and Oakleys to name a few! Clothing to sandals including Reefs and Sanuks! The Deli also features Boars Head meats! You can't go wrong here!

Stop N Shop Has Been an Amazing Little Hidden Heaven to us all on the outer Banks- Always Great Memories right up to today- In the past i could always find a Wine that was well to Excellently priced and quality Taste and sandwiches to dream of breakfast through dinner =) Love this Shop- Always feel like they treat us like family- Specially tonight as they close at 10-pm and i got off work late- i called and they said get here asap and at 10:19 i was able to get my wife's favorite Drinks and with a smile-Thank you,The Thibodeau JR family
