Victoria is THE BEST dog stylist is NC. She has groomed every dog I’ve owned from Border Collies to my Great Dane. She is a super hero lifting a 80 pound BC who slipped away from us carrying him into the shop to getting my 170 pound Great Dane into a tub. I love her and the shop. ❤️☺️

My experience with my schnauzer was terrible. I already didn’t have high expectations being that I relocated from DC. My dog hair cut was uneven and too short. This is not an schnauzer cut!! I am so disappointed and feel bad for my baby. His skirt suppose to be longer :(

The best place to take your furry family members for gromming. Victoria has been grooming our Yorkie for years, and she always comes home beautifully cut, and Gabby will let Victoria trim her nails, nobody else including us can do that job.

Been taking my 13 year Maltese Schnauzer here for over 1 year. Megan takes care of my girl as if she was her own dog. Grooming has never been my dog’s favorite thing, but they are all so kind and caring towards the dogs. I’m very comfortable bringing Stella here. Great staff! Prices are reasonable.

This has been my first experience with a professional groomer for a German shepherd. It was good experience from beginning to end. The price was good and my dog did not shed and he smelled nice. I recommend this place as far as Kernersville goes its the best!

I’ve been taking both of my Yorkies here for a couple of years and NEVER disappointed. The groomers are very passionate and down to earth about what they do. The cuts are always perfect and each visit includes a cute brand new bandana. I’ve collected many of them. ☺️$100 for both of my dogs including a tip, consistent service and excellent results is hard to find.WE 💜 The Barker Shop! 🐾🐾

We took our Bichon and our Shih Tzu to The Barker Shop two weeks ago -- their first and last visit. Our Bichon is a disaster, Her face is not trimmed in the bell shape typical for a Bichon cut; her legs and body are trimmed too short; she was nicked twice in the course of grooming;' it is clear from the way her fur looks that she was not brushed and dried after she was bathed.Our Shih Tzu looks fairly decent except that they shaved the fur between the bottom of her nose and the top of her top lip. Why would you do that? I've never seen a Shih Tzu face trimmed that way.We tried to express our dissatisfaction to Megan, the owner of The Barker Shop, but she chose to misinterpret anger for rudeness, lectured me on what she perceived as my attitude, refused to discuss the problem, and hung up on us. She was very unprofessional -- and we have to leave voice mail 3 times before she called back. She should have apologized and offered to refund at least the cost of the Bichon grooming.We will not take our dogs to The Barker Shop again and do not recommend them.

Friendly staff, our dog was happy there. We are new regular customers.Update, I don’t know what happened but the last two times we took our dog here she refused to get out of the car when she realized where she was. We now go to a different shop and she seems happy to be groomed again.

Just happen to be in the area and I called for our fur babies nails to be trimmed. We was able to stop in and they took care of her. Very friendly staff, the ladies were great to chat with. Would have then taken care of her nails again.

Best place ever!! Megan and the girls at The Barker Shop are fabulous. I would not trust just anyone with my babies and we have been coming here for about 4 years now. They are kind and caring and I am always happy with the quality of grooming that Guston and Pip receive. Pip has very bad skin allergies and Megan makes sure to use hypo-allergenic products for her and her skin is better than ever since being regularly groomed here. Guston always walks in seeming very comfy and ready for his pampering which makes me feel good. I highly recommend The Barker Shop as I have always had a great experience here.

Megan is wonderful! I wish I could have tipped her $50. My baby hadn't had her nails trimmed since March; longest they'd ever been and she did an amazing job!! All vet's that I've worked at have no clue and make them bleed at least 70% of the time. She is amazing! Thank you, love!

I’m not one to rate very often, but due to my experience here I feel the need to let others know what happened to me and my pup. I took my 4 month old puppy here for her very first grooming appointment. After 5 hours of waiting, loved the cut and she was very cute with the bow they put in her fur and was satisfied AT FIRST. Then, the next day I noticed my puppy shaking her head constantly and scratching her ear and she would yelp in pain when she did. I called the vet and they took her in the next day. The vet said, in his 40+ years of experience he had never seen a STAPH INFECTION so bad in a puppy that young before. I was shocked. She hadn’t been anywhere else other than the Barker Shop and he said that it is not something that could be contracted in nature. She could have lost her ear drum or worse! Now anytime I try to clean her ears which is a couple times a week, it is very hard to do so. The whole experience has scared her to the point that now every week I struggle to clean her ears. I am very disappointed and highly upset that this business DID NOT properly sterilize all instruments used in the ears of all pets that are groomed here. Cleaning her ears may never be easy for her or I again. I will NEVER bring my puppy to the Barker Shop ever again.

I’m very pleased with the fantastic job that was done on my extremely matted Pomeranian. She was a mess, and came out looking beautiful. Very even cut, with no razor burn anywhere on her. She was not stressed in the least when I arrived or afterwards, which tells me that she was treating kindly and gently. Service was great all the way around. Overall a great experience for me and my dog.

I took my son & daughter-n-law's puppy (9 months old) to be groomed yesterday. She had some mats on the top of her head which I knew would have to be stripped. Instead, they stripped her whole body. After looking at her, we noticed several sizable nick marks on her. She has been traumatized from this entire experience and now has diarrhea and behavioral changes. Needless to say, we will not return.

My dog is a 13 year old cockapoo. I have taken him to different groomers in Kernersville and loved our last groomer but she decided to retire but told me she had heard good things about Barker Shop. I have to say Barker Shop by far is the BEST groomer we have been to. He never looked so good! We have definitely found his new groomer!
