Super disappointed. Physically went into the store to book an appointment and was told I only needed to provide up to date records of my dogs shots. Gave them a hard copy and thought everything was fine. Wait a week for our appointment and drive all the way up there just to get there and be turned away because my dog is currently taking allergy meds and they won’t take him until they have a letter from our vet saying he is cleared to be groomed. When asked why this wasn’t communicated the day I booked the appointment, the woman’s response was “I wasn’t there so I don’t know.” Very helpful. I have no idea why they don’t ask the screening questions while the appointment is being scheduled, but it’d be great if they stopped wasting everyone’s time.

We were told our pet had a lot of matted areas so they had to shave him down really close. He didn't have matted areas at all. I had literally just brushed him out the night before.

I tried to book an appointment online for a grooming service. Then the day of I drove 30 minutes to the groomers just to be told that, because of my pets heart murmur, they couldn't take him in. There was nowhere on the website when booking my appointment, which made it obvious that I couldn't bring my dog here. After I booked the appointment too, there was a follow-up call to get more information about my dog, and the person on the phone also did not ask if my pet had health conditions. If the person had asked about health conditions during the screening, they would have saved everyone's time.

My pet had an appointment at noon. He is shy so I arrived 15 min early. The girl was available. My boy wasn't barking, growling, anything like that, just pacing. Because she wasn't comfortable or wouldn't approach enough to put their cheap leash on him they refused to honor our appointment. They suggested we go to the vet to have him done. We were only there for a nail trim!!!So we left, drove straight to Greensboro Petsmart where we got in as a walk in. They had NO PROBLEM approaching and putting their leash on my dog. Took him back and did his nails. Needless to to say Petco will not have my business for grooming, retail or vet services! Will continue to drive to Petsmart.

Let me start this review on a positive note by saying that my dogs haircut looks fine. I have no complaints about the way she looked when i picked her up. I’m sure like many of you, my dog is a rescue which means i don’t know what her life was like before me. I can tell you that she is usually very nervous and scared when she goes to the groomer, especially one for the first time. When i dropped her off for her very first visit at this Petco i explained that to the groomer and that she would need some patience when grooming her. I noticed that the groomer kept rolling her eyes as i was explaining this to her. So much so that i eventually asked, “is this going to be a problem?” to which she answered no. It should have been my first red flag. I was told her grooming would take 4-5 hours, which i thought was excessive but i said ok. The head groomer ended up grooming my dog because i was told she had more experience with nervous dogs and i thought, great! That is until i went to pick her up. After i paid and left a very generous tip, the original groomer came out and told me i would have to go back and get my dog because she was acting aggressive. I wondered why would she would be acting that way. When i got to the back the head groomer said, ‘ when i tried to get her out of the kennel she lunged at me and nearly took my hand off.’ Now let me say that i have had my dog for over 4 years. She goes to daycare and has a dog walker who walks her the 3 days i work. She gets along with people, children other dogs and cats. At no time have i ever seen her act in an aggressive manor. All of the people who work at the daycare and those who see her regularly at the park i take her too can vouch for that. Even though she gets nervous at the vets office she has never shown any sign of aggression there either. But the thing that troubled me the most was when i looked into the kennel and saw her cowering in the back terrified. I have never witnessed her act like that before and it broke my heart to see it. I was stunned. At no time did the groomer show any compassion whatsoever for how terrified the dog was. The only response i got was being told that she would be allowed back one more time and if she acted aggressively again she would be barred from ever coming back. As i got in my car and drove off i began thinking i could have kicked myself for not doing two things; one, demanding my tip money back and two confronting the groomer as to why my dog was in the kennel cowering in fear. One thing is for certain. The groomer doesn’t have to worry about her coming back because my dog will never step foot in that store again. I understand that every experience is different. Sadly for my dog it was not a positive one.

The girls that work in the grooming department are so sweet and so good with my little old lady Daphne. I appreciate the time and care they put into taking care of her. She always comes out of there with a smile! You guys are awesome!

The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Rachael F has been grooming my doggo BamBam for probably 7 or 8 years! She's so sweet and always makes him look and feel like a million bucks. I can't say enough about Rachael and the other Kernersville staff. It's a great feeling to know my little man is in great hands. He's been with me through a lot and he's super important to me, so it's comforting to know he's in great hands and he's going to come out feeling great.

The absolute worst dog grooming place. They clipped my poor dogs ear and he was bleeding for almost an hour. The lady was incredibly rude to us. Will not be going back ever again.
