We shopped around quite a bit for a tortoise and had lots of questions as this was our first time getting one. When we found this place and spoke with Chad we knew that this was where we wanted to make our purchase. All of our questions were answered in very much detail which made us extremely comfortable bringing our new pet home. We will definitely be back for any and all things regarding our new red footed tortoise and any future reptiles. Highly recommend!

If you’re passing by on a road trip or live in the town, this is worth a stop. It’s also most definitely worth the $5 admission to look at their zoo. All the cages are plenty large and animals look all look healthy. The reptiles all looked calm, most not even bothering to hide. The enclosures are naturalist as they can be and they even have a venomous room in the back, which was my favorite part. You can tell a lot of love went into this store, and a lot of time and money goes into maintaining it. Passion is the best teacher, and these people are the perfect example of that.

First time here. Saw a sign from 421 heading towards Greensboro. Stopped back on our way home to WS. Love this place. It is small though. The owners/family are very nice! The zoo in the back was fun to walk through. We even got to hold an alligator and feed a tortoise. Can't wait to go back!

Chad was very friendly and helpful. The animals we saw were beautiful and well taken care of, most of them seemed pretty social rather than timid which makes me think they're handled often and well taken care of. Definitely a place worth visiting and donating to!!

They're really nice and seem very experienced. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I really loved the vipers. I've never gotten to see one in person. They have a large variety of interesting snakes, turtles and lizards. They also sell some pet supplies and were very helpful and friendly with the customers that came in.

I went in this morning to get food for my new jumping spider. Chad answered all my questions and offered varied suggestions which was helpful. I will definitely be going back for all my reptile/arachnid needs - the store has *everything*-- no need for a box store.. ~ Denise

The educational benefit of this establishment is phenomenal! My daughter loves reptiles and was happy for days. The reptile zoo has a large and diverse collection of clean and well-kept animals of many types. We felt very safe and the animals were very secure. Also, everyone there was extremely knowledgeable and treated us like friends, not customers. I'm sure we'll visit again soon. They are also reptile medical staff. You should not hesitate if you need medical assistance for your reptile. They would be in good hands!

Saturday 11-18-2023 was our first time here, we were greeted as soon as we walked in! We went looking to find a snake Sebastian was very knowledgeable and helpful he and his Dad Chad answered all of our questions we got to hold our now beautiful lemon blast ball python. We went in to pick her up today again same experience everyone was ready to help us, we are very satisfied and happy with the service we will be coming back. Thank you guys so very much for a wonderful experience! Look forward to our next visit!I recommend n give 10+ to Kernersville Reptile zoo.

Well what can I say about this place, and chad griffin. I can say I found this man on YouTube he never met me before. I had a horrible respiratory infection with a large Burmese python I took in. Chad with no questions asked gave me his number we spoke for nearly 2 hours I had been through 2 vets 3 different antibiotics. She was litteraly on her death bed. Chad spent weeks talking me through how to get her better well it’s going on a year, and a half maybe more my girls still alive, and healthy. I can’t say enough of what an amazing person this man, and his family are. He knows so much about these animals I tell everyone that says how great I did with my large snake rehabbingher I diddnt do anything Chad Griffin saved her life I just followed his expert advice these are amazing people can’t wait to meet chad in person.

Me and my girlfriend found this place and went in trying to find proper bugs and things for our bearded dragon as we were new to being beardie owners. Chad has been absolutely phenomenal in helping us and giving us tips and tricks to giving Yoshi his best life. Unlike most people Chad isn’t out to make a sale. He just wants to help give your reptile the best life possible. 10/10 would recommend and have recommended this place to multiple people.

This was a great little hole in the wall reptile zoo. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and they had a great selection of reptiles to look at. The place was a little messy as it wasn't too well organized and it was a little dirty, but the small area they have, they used it all to display information on all sorts of reptiles. I definitely would come back, as their King Cobra was taking a nap.

These are dope people with a beautiful collection of venomous and non venomous reptiles of all sorts. It's a family run business, and they're all very knowledgeable and helpful. Chad is definitely a good dude who knows his stuff n is always willing to help. I go there all the time n recommend you do too!

We got to meet our friends at Kernersville zoo today! We drove 2 hours for this experience and it was worth every second. We took our Boa in to have her tailed looked at- Chad was thorough and explained exactly how to help her. All their snakes are in such enrichment filled environments and are taken care of so well. We can’t say enough good things about Chad, his kindness, thoroughness, and knowledge. 5 stars- absolutely love!!

I just spoke with gentleman by the name of Chad and he was so extremely helpful. I intend on purchasing a large tortoise, I've wanted one my entire life and he has a female and he stayed on the phone with me and extended himself to myself as well as my husband to come and see her and interact with her and even said that on his days off that if I needed her to be on location he would arrange for her to be there because he keeps her at his home. I am so excited to go in and see everything that he has but even more excited to see the tortoise I just really felt the need to post this and just let everyone know how kind and knowledgeable he was and how he was willing to answer any question or be available to me without even knowing me. You don't find many people that kind in the world anymore and he certainly is one of them. Can't wait to go visit.

My husband and I and our kids love this place! The owners Chad and Christina are amazing as well as their 2 boys! Chad can get basically whatever you want when it comes to reptiles and even others like hedge hogs, pet monkey’s ANYTHING! We support you guys 100% these guys are very great people. They even homed our 20 some ball pythons when we were in the process of moving they took care of all of them! We are greatly appreciated by everything that you guys have done for us and love you like family! This place and the family that built the reptile zoo are just amazing! Interesting zoo. A bit scary as to how many venomous snakes they have! Hoping all those cages are secure! The staff was nice, it’s a bit dirty and smells like reptiles but the staff is very knowledgeable.

Animals are kept incorrectly and when confronted these people will act superior and tell you “you can’t believe everything you read online”Bearded dragons kept in small enclosures together with extremely dark beards, look extremely uncomfortable and stressedSnakes constantly surfing the top of the tank as wellPetCo is doing a better job at keeping reptiles and that’s shameful

I LOVE the family that runs and owns this establishment , their very knowledgeable about reptiles and other critters they sell and have in their care. They also have food bugs , mice ,rats for things you may need for your snake or lizards and turtles .they also have everything you could need if you want to upgrade a habitat for a reptile you already have or are thinking about getting one as a new family member..

I attended the most recent "Basic Reptile Training and Handling Course" offered by the Kernersville Reptile Zoo. Chad and his crew provided me some amazing handling experience and had lots of resources to share about state regulations on reptile ownership. Highly recommend this course and these people for any reptile related questions!

I come into the Zoo regularly for food for my reptiles. The owners are amazing as well as the selection they carry. Of they don’t have what you want, they can get it. I’ve bought several reptiles from them and it’s always a great deal along with great advice anytime I contact them with questions.
