My dad purchased a ham intending to cook it for Christmas Eve dinner and when getting ready to open the packaging we noticed the Sell By date was 12.06.22, December 06. So we drove back to the store to inform the manager of this issue and get a refund. When speaking to the manager he insisted that the label was wrong and that the meat was still good. When I explained to him that this meat should've been sold and cooked nearly 2 weeks prior, he persisted claiming that the label was incorrect. I pointed out labels on fresher cuts of meat to him labeled 12.31.22, December 31, and again reinstated that the meat was old only to have him try to convince me I was wrong.In the end we received a refund but while waiting at the checkout I clearly heard him telling one of the butchers to put a new label on the meat. I won't be buying meat from them ever again.

Prices are always competitive. The employees are always sweet and polite. They tend to have great sales. Especially I believe one a month they have a truck sale, which is dirt cheap prices on poultry and meat. So far the only down fall to me is the parking lot is set up in a funky way and while sitting here for ten mins had some people almost clip the front end of my truck twice.

These folks have the best meat selection compared to ANY big chain. We are just 2 people and don't need huge packages of fatty meat.

Love this store due to the great prices,very clean and organized but,mostly all the staff are wonderful. When I first moved here and walked into this store they made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. Over a year of going there,they are more like family to us than anything. To all the staff,thank you for all you do,your hard work and mostly for just being you.

Nice small neighborhood grocer. Only one cashier of two checkouts most times. Decent variety, but can't replace a larger market. Good for quick stops.

Oh I had not been to a Piggly wiggly since I was a kid and I was with my daughter and there it was in the middle of nowhere. Absolutely love it .. is quite a drive from where I live but I will be making that trip again

Once in a while they do their meat truck sale. Produce is always nice,the store is neat and clean and organized. The staff are friendly and always willing to assist you with your shopping experience.

Staff is nice, good selection of meats and good prices. Drawback is they never have the sale paper, never have the sale items marked and the in house kiosk is always broken.

Stopped by there to just pick up liver pudding to take back on the drive home to MD from SC. First noticed there was a baby roach crawling on the credit card reader. Second, it took 3 seperate cycles of several chip and swipe attempts before the credit card reader worked properly and was able to process my transaction. Prayerfully, there will be no issues with my bank on the back end advising of multiple charges for the same transaction. Made it a point to check my bag for roaches before hopping back in to the car. Not the experience anyone would/should expect...even for a local. Not impressed in the least!!!

I do not know the young man name but he stopped what he was doin just to help me find what i was looking for and even told me if i had any questions just ask him he gave me room and stood talking with some more customers just to make sure i was ok i am very appreciative to him thank you !!!!!!!and the cashier was cordial!!

I bought collards today and pay $12.50for a half brushes. They had a lot of big stem in there. I pay more for stems you can't eat them.not to happy right now

My son and husband were treated very rude and when I called to complain once I described the person I was hung up on. Normally like this store but after that I will not be spending any more of my money there.

Once you walk in your hit with the overwhelming smell of death and excrament, the people stare you down as you start your Journey accross the store. Every step every breath you know their eyes are pearcing through you, you can almost feel them. You continue walking around the corner there's a man and his wife standing arguing about what cake to get. The man clames he doesn't like German chocolate yet the woman said he ate some last week, clearly a heated argument you walk past quickly as to not draw attention to you, but it does the opposite as you walk past their eyes like fangs sink into you and as you round the next corner you hear them return to their argument. Finally you make it to the meat department, and it's about that time you realize where the smell is coming from. People in your way meticulously eyeing and peering at the meat in front of you. A dence crowd the stench is unbelievable, and yet you know if you go back to the cake argument your a gonner. Inevitably you decide to start fighting your way through the crowd, the drunkenness and redneckness is unbealiveable. About half way through the smell almost knocks you out as you pass the busted fridge but you make it through unscathed. You turn again this isle is eerily quiet no one to be seen only the discount purses and out of date ice cream. At the end of the isle you see something shining in the one neon light flickering over head. Could that be, after all you've been through its the only thing you want anymore, alcohol. It is you grab a case and take another turn to find yourself back in the front of the store. As the registers eyes return to you, you walk up to them and place the case down. They ask you if thats all you want you beg for them to let you go, she gives you the beer for free, as you run, screaming. An experience to change even the strongest willed people.

I would recommend this place to everyone they should have more Piggly wiggly everywhere.so much cheaper than Walmart and a hole lot smaller you don't have to walk a half mile to get your food.

It’s an old grocery store that needs an upgrade. Some prices are high but I do love when they have their specials on buying meats in bulk

Staff are very friendly, but the word mold doesn't exist there. Bread, pies, cakes full of mold still being sold. On the shelf more than a couple days. So no excuse of not knowing it was there
