Overall the stores selection is ok. There are quite a few items that are extremely over priced, ie pack frames for 160 and tq for 45. However the store does price other small odds and ends well.

Perfect place to stop by to get anything you could ever want as far as military surplus goes. From jackets, pants, hats, to helmets, gloves, and kneepads. They also have a great collection of knives and mock grenades, as well as a bunch of stuff for the kids. The lady that was working when I was there was super nice and really helpful and I will definitely make this place a standard stop whenever we come back to Jacksonville because of that. Thank you guys so much.

Great place. First time visit to this location.A big selection of items and equipment. Bought 2 pair of the ripstop BDU pants for $32 each. They fit great and are exactly what I was looking for.Will go back again for a set of coveralls and a jacket when it gets cooler.

Was in the Jville area to visit our son for Christmas. It was refreshing to see it was still there. Took our son there when I was stationed at Lejuene in 98 when he was 3. Now he is in the Marines and went there to get a Marine mom license plate holder. Took him in on this trip. It brought back great memories. Great prices as always. Friendly staff. Look forward to the return trip and will stop in to buy more swag.

Loved the store have been shopping there for many years. One of the gems in Jacksonville family owned and the products they sell are reliable and you know where they are coming from unlike many other stores in Jacksonville where they buy from just anyone. The staff here is friendly and helpful. The selection is the best in town. If you want anything military, this is the place to go. They can be a little expensive, but the quality and the variety is unsurpassable. Also, they have some fantastic markdowns.

As a retired naval officer (15 of 27 plus years of service were with USMC) Saigon Sam's is both an exciting "Blast From the Past' as well as fantastic business for procuring a wide range of military gear and memorabilia. The staff are outstanding, courteous, and extremely professional, especially so in light of necessary precautions required during the present pandemic. This location of Saigon Sam's is slightly smaller than the one on Wilmington but it has more inventory. I always enjoy stopping in to see what new apparel I could buy. They also have a lot of things that are good for camping or other outdoor activities.

The lady behind the counter was super ruder, also it’s way over priced. I went in for some missing gear items. One of those things was an issued strap cutter and they wanted 38 bucks while the gear guy down the street charged 20. Also I wanted inner gloves and they charge 25 bucks and I picked them up from the gear guy for 5 dollars.

Went here with the idea of the old Sunny's Surplus but was a little disappointed. It was mostly commercial stuff, made by commercial vendors, not like the old military supplied trousers etc.

Saigon Sam's is a great place to go if you need to pick up military gear or clothing last minute/late at night. Very helpful staff. I would definitely shop here again!

My grandsons 7 and 9 years old had a field day in your store!!Their grandfather was station at camp lejeune in 1979 to 1981We are on vacation in surf city with the grandchildren and of course we had to stop at Saigon sams!@

A wide selection of past and present issue military gear. A great place to stop for any outdoors enthusiast or the military man/woman on the go who needs a quick replacement item. There is also a wide selection of non issued gear that could come in handy for recreation or the field.

They have a lot of the old military stuff that you are probably looking for. The prices are decent, but it was difficult finding normal sizes in a number of things (medium and large). There were a number of things I didn't expect to find here like patches and pins that I haven't seen elsewhere.
