Good store if you can deal with the staff poking at you every 30 seconds. They don't seem to like people browsing for some reason. Product is high quality though, so it can be worth putting up with to find a nice fish.

Very friendly staff! You don't have to go searching for someone to help you either. They are knowledgeable and helpful. As for some reviews on dead fish, I have never gone into ANY pet store that didn't have at least one dead or dying fish in a tank. Petsmart had WAYYYY more dead fish in their tanks. It happens y'all, get over it. I will definitely make fish cave my "go to" for anything fish related. Thank you Fish Cave!

Excellent local aquarium store. Fair prices, keep clean tanks and good inventory of fish and plants. Staff is very helpful. They have a good assortment of hardscape options, substrates, chemicals, tanks and accessories. They can also order things for you if you're wanting something specific they don't have.Among other things, I bought a small filter here that had a factory defect I discovered after setting it up. I spoke to them and they said to bring it back, I was able to swap it with a good one with no hassle at all - great customer service.I only wish the store was bigger!

Nice clean establishment! Having aquariums for more than 50 years gives me the qualification to declare this a quality shop. No odors, no dead fish in the tanks, and no sick looking fish. Kudos to the owners! And by the way, they expect you to be on your best behavior too, with the no cursing sign as you hit the door. We need more places like this!

Absolutely the nicest fish store in Jacksonville area!While visiting from PA I stopped in and was met by 2 super nice ladies who were helpful, patient and friendly. The store was remarkably clean as well as all the tanks. I spent a good amount of time scanning thru the saltwater tanks trying to make my decision on what I wanted. While doing so I saw absolutely no signs of pests...no aptasia, no vermetid snails, no algae...nothing. I cant say the same for elsewhere!The prices were great and so was the conversation. They happily answered all my questions and I walked out the door very happy and looking forward to visiting again on my next trip down!

The worst customer service of any location in or around Jacksonville. You will be told before your purchase about the great warranties, but once the money has left your bank account they will not honor any of them. The fish purchased from here all came with ich and spread to the other fish in the tank. All fish were brought back within the warranty time and were told no refund nor future credit.

Fish Cave is a small quaint but very personable fish store. The staff is great. Erica is the best. She helped me get my 55 gallon tank refurbished. I got new pumps new glass lids and have been cleaning and doing water changes as she directed to get my water levels under control. They have lots of fish there. Fresh and salt water. My tank is almost ready for some new fish. I can’t wait to get them. I prefer a fish only store vs Pet Smart or Petco. They specialize in aquatic products and are much more knowledgeable. So If you want quality equipment, healthy plants and fish, plus a great staff (Erica), I definitely would recommend Fish Cave. Kim 🐡🐠

Great place if you're looking for fish, tanks, stands, or literally anything that has to do with fish. The staff are very knowledgeable and polite. The older gentleman taught my wife and I a few new things a out Betas, and even steered us away from buying things that we not needed instead of pushing more expensive items on us.

The owners are so nice and personable. I've received help that helped me avoid a slaughter in my fishtank!I have a huge blood parrot that I bought there as a tiny baby and it's doing SO WELL. 100% love this place

Me and my father went out to the fish cave after we were done working out in the yard. We got there at 6:47 or something they close at 7. we went to return a dead fish and the young lady with blonde hair the owner’s daughter, had the worst attitude. She would not give us credit because something was wrong with our water. We tried to talk to the owner and she was not there. So we went back later and the owner said she checked the cameras and she said the same thing . We will not be returning there ever again.

Me and my husband just started getting into fish and fish tanks and the staff has been AMAZING. They are all for educating you and answered my thousands of questions. They are always so sweet and helpful. This is one of the best establishments I've even went into and i appreciate them so much!

Our family visited a little over a week ago. My son has really been wanting to check it out, so we finally did. Other than being a little smaller than expected. It was very pleasant. The tanks were very clean and the fish looked very healthy and the staff was very helpful and courteous.

Great, local store! Always patient with my kid’s questions and helpful. Our freshwater fish from here have been active and healthy. My son got his beta here and I still haven’t seen anything as pretty. We’re excited to stock a new tank once it’s ready for fish.

Sometimes you'll get good fish, but sometimes you'll get fish with ich...I bought my husband an electric blue johanni, didn't see that he had ich because there wasn't really good lighting.Brought him home, and put him in my 120 with my other fish, big mistake... my whole tank has ich, and now I have to buy ich medicine to treat my electric blue Jack dympsy, my strawberry peacock, and white labidchromise. I am honestly really disappointed, seeing as I bought my first fish from this place, and the second one I buy to put in with my other babies had ich.

LOVE fish cave! Clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Angie is awesome. They know my husband well. Even though I dont know much myself about reef tanks, I never fear going in there for him to pick something up, because they always lead me in the right direction!

This place is amazing. The staff is very knowledgeable about the fish and tank set ups. Rick the science teacher just rocks my daughter adores the man and he always has a quick lesson for her about something when we come in. They can always answer our questions and never try to push anything on us that we are not looking for. And our fish are doing awesome

I love this place! Very small but very worth the trip. They have excellent fish in amazing condition unlike the big chain pet stores around town. Prices are the lowest with way better quality. I cant speak much on the salt water fish because I only stick to fresh water. They have a great selection of fresh water fish.

This store is awesome. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable about their fish. Super helpful in helping me and my mom to pick out tank mates that would go good with our handicap tiger barb. They walked us through some tank care too and reminded us that we ever bumped into any problems or had questions to call or post to their facebook page. I would recommend the fish cave over petsmart or any other big branch store for you fish needs everytime!

The wife and I drove in circles for an hour to find this little gem of a store. If your into the salties, come check this place out. Great prices, good f.w. specimens, too. Like I've said for years, ya don't have to have a thousand tanks to have great stock, if you know what great stock is. Gotta get a bigger tank now...

I misread the lead and thought this was an aquarium, but I had fun none the less. There were some really beautiful fish available, and I would have bought a whole new setup if I had the opportunity right now. For the little space they've got, this is an awesome store. Still, they are limited by space. The selection could be better at far as aquarium setups.
