I recently took my dog Matilda for a grooming session and I was extremely pleased with the service. We have been going to Animal house for almost 4 years now!! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and they took great care of my pup. The grooming itself was done professionally and my dog came out looking clean and happy. I also appreciated the reasonable pricing for the service. Overall, I would highly recommend Nicole to anyone looking for a reliable and quality dog grooming service.

Thank you Nicole for always taking care of my Australian Shepherd, Moose. Nicole is extremely knowledgeable with dogs that have skin disorders and she uses products that are nourishing for their skin . He looks fantastic! Every time I pick him up he is trimmed exactly how I have asked. His toenails are trimmed back and never sore. His coat is radiant! Thank you Nicole for taking care of my little buddy,,, well worth the money.

I started my Husky Granddoggy, Roxy, here for doggie daycare just this week and I am FLOORED by the facilties, the super easy process for drop off and pick up, the affordabilty of the daily coast, and all of the staff I've met so far are hands down the best people I have ever met in the pet boarding industry! Their system for being able to shuffle around doggies based on their personality, their fear/anxiety level, their interactions with other dogs so they can still take doggies that may be challenging in certain situations, is absolutely incredible to me! I even took advantage of their grooming service today and what an outstanding job they did!Thank you so much to every single staff member that has, or will eventually, interact with Roxy! She seems to absolutely love it there! We think the world of all you and can't wait until she gets to come play again!Had to attach a photo of my sailor son and Roxy that I took right after he got home from San Diego after ten years. They are such a great pair!

I’ve been going here for 5 years now and I’ve not had one complaint yet. They have always taken care of my 6 Fur Babies to the fullest. Which I’m sure hasn’t been easy at times being that I have 2 American Pit bulls and 4 XL Bullies. I will say that Sylvia has always been there to a point babies on spa day and I can tell you that I will never go to anyone else . She is the best hands down . My babies love her so much they just light up when they see her . So if you need a groomer she’s your girl. This is just 4 of my babies that she takes care off

I took my dog to boarding for the first time and she was very well taken care of. She was happy when she came home. The staff were all very nice and helpful. They will give you a tour of the facility if asked and send you home with a detailed paper of how your dog did while boarding. We will definitely be using Animal House again!

I’ve been taking my 2 yr old shih tzu, Mayo, to see Chantel (I hope I spelled her name right) for a full groom for at least a year now and I’m so thankful I can trust leaving him in her hands. I’ve never had a problem with animal house. They are always so cheerful and helpful anytime I reach out to them. And they always accommodate my needs and wants. Giving me any advice that best for Mayo. There was a few times I used their hair coloring services and was so pleased with that as well.If anyone in the area is looking for a good recommendation for getting your fur baby groomed/pampered (check out their additional services, they have mud baths and more lol), Chantel or any other of the animal house squad will be sure to show you and your baby the proper care I know we are all looking for.

I won't bring my 2 year old Bull Mastiff/Lab baby, Addie, to ANYONE ELSE, both for grooming and boarding. We adopted her at 7 months old from the shelter, and she had been horrifically abused by both humans and other dogs. 💔😭 As a result, she has severe chronic anxiety issues with strangers, new people- particularly men, and is fear aggressive towards other dogs (barking and snarling, saying "Stay away from me!" She requires medication on a daily basis to help with her issues, the poor baby. 💔😢 I've boarded Addie twice at Animal House, and although it was traumatic for her only because of her fear and anxiety, and fearing that we were abandoning her, the staff were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING- they went above and beyond to accommodate every one of her specific and special needs, including taking her out without other dogs around, spending time playing with her in her private suite, and giving her plenty of love, reassurance, and comfort- not just the day staff, but the night staff, as well! I was so incredibly impressed and grateful, knowing my baby girl was in good hands!! Although I won't board her unless I have absolutely no options, I also only take her to Animal House for her grooming needs. Her Vet and their staff are terrific, but she's so terrified of getting her nails taken care of (not just because of her anxiety, but because she has severe nerve sensitivity in her paws, so it's very painful for her ) that 4 people trying to hold her down and cut her nails was literally impossible. Her Vet prescribed her 2 medications that she has to take the night before getting them done, and again an hour before her appointment. All of the grooming staff, but especially the manager, Nicole, and her daughter Chantele, are always absolutely AMAZING, caring, understanding and so very accommodating every time I bring her to get her nails filed down, which is much better than clipping. They'll bring her in the side door to limit her being in close proximity to other dogs being groomed or that are coming in and out of the site. I usually have my son or a friend go with me, as I'm permanently disabled, and can't help to get her sedated 95lb butt up on the table. Just this past Thursday, I had to take her by myself, so I was really nervous. Not only did Addie behave perfectly- she didn't bark or react to any of the other dogs or people in both the front and back in the grooming area, she didn't pull me at all towards the door, afraid and wanting to leave, for the very first time!! Nicole literally picked Addie up by herself and easily got her onto the table- she's Wonder Woman! 😍😳😂💗 She was so incredibly helpful, soothing, professional and QUICK, as I sat beside Addie and helped hold her so she couldn't jump off the table...we were in and out of there in literally 8 MINUTES. You just cannot find ANYWHERE ELSE besides Animal House that can or does provide even CLOSE to this level of personalized, attentive, genuine, loving and consistently professional care for your fur babies, and their pricing is great, too!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANIMAL HOUSE 11/10 🐾 up!! 💞😎😁

My babies were groomed this morning by the lovely groomers at Animal House and goodness they look so much better. The pictures aren’t great bc they hate pictures, but I promise they look fantastic. The customer service was also top notch and we will most definitely be returning for another round of grooming when it’s time.

I took my (almost) 6 month old puppy for grooming. He has only been groomed once before in another location. That grooming did not go well and the groomer complained of his puppy behaviors. Nicole at Animal House took her time and made our baby feel comfortable. The grooming went well and I appreciate the time and care she spent! Thank you, Nicole!!

I love Animal House. I took my 2 dogs, Mishka (white German Shepherd/ husky) and Bella (Black German Shepherd) and my parents dog, Mo ( Black, Tan, white German Shepherd/ Husky) there every week multiple times a week to socialize and to just have fun. Anytime I would leave the house they would be at the door begging to go to Day Camp. I’ve boarded them there when I went on vacation for 2 weeks. They have done hydrotherapy, had their first grooming and nail trims there. I worked there for 2 years and would still be working there today and using their services to this day if I didn’t move to Pennsylvania. I compare all animal services and jobs available in PA to Animal House and cannot find anything like it up here. You won’t find the amount of love, care, passion and professionalism that the staff at Animal House has anywhere else trust me I’ve been looking. Best animal services ever and the best place to work as an animal lover. We love and miss you Animal House!!! Please keep me in mind if you expand to Pennsylvania!!

I boarded my dog here a week ago. When I picked her up she was exhausted. My initial thought was “oh good she played with all the dogs and it wore her out” nope, tiredness continued for days which is completely abnormal for my 11 month old hound. Took her to the vet, turns out she is “highly infected” with hook works. When boarding her I look at the live cameras and constantly see employees just standing around and not doing anything. Not cleaning up dog waste (which is how hookworms are spread, and yes, she’s vaccinated). I am now taking care of a sick dog, and spent hundreds at the vet, after leaving my dog in what I thought was a good facility for two days. Will not be going back.

Patty was our groomer for Reese. She respected everything I asked and I was very nervous since this was our first time getting Reese groomed. She did outstanding! Plus the front desk staff was so nice and helpful even when I called for an update. Our dogs are our babies so I appreciated all the communication. I also liked how they get a report card! How cute!

I live in Gainesville VA and often travel to Jacksonville to see my daughter. Animal House always has grooming appointments available. The groomers do a fantastic job every time and prices are reasonable. Back in VA, appointments are difficult to get and usually have to wait several weeks.

The front check-in area is clean and smells fine, however, the second that we walked into the area where the animals are kept it smelled putrid. There smell is truly overwhelming. Also there were piles of feces in the play areas that we were shown. When we asked how staff prevents other pets from coming in contact with it we were told it’s immediately picked up after an animal eliminates, but we observed piles of it. The check in staff were friendly. However, when I called to obtain a status update on how my pet was doing the response was very general, although I was placed on an extended hold for the staff to “check-in” with the attendees. I just wanted to know if my dog was ok while we were away, especially since his stay with Animal House was the first time he’d ever been away from us. Moreover, the report card system is worthless, honestly. I reviewed it and did not get an accurate overview about how my dog’s stay was, unfortunately.

We have been taking our girls to animal house for over 4 years now! They absolutely love it! They will sit at the door in the morning waiting on the bus! Their bus drivers are awesome and treat the first so well! And Lisa is an absolute life saver! I know I can count on her to make sure my girls have the best stay, she will text me with sweet reminders and just to check up on them! I just can’t say enough about how much we love and trust the animal house staff with our girls! It is a true blessing to be able to have a safe and healthy place to send our girls when we are away, or just for for them to have a fun day. They especially love their SPA days when they are pampered to the max from their amazing groomer Angie and the rest of the grooming staff! They come home looking and smelling amazing! Oh and did I mention their amazing boarding?? Our girls love the liberty lounge, it’s their home away from home! They get to watch animal planet, go on night time play dates, get bedtime stories and a special snack! Oh and talk about a blast, they love their City Strolls! They even send me pictures of their adventures! They have little birthday parties for their special day along with a treat! Not to mention the holiday parties they have, and the photos they take are amazing! This is an absolutely amazing place and we can’t thank the entire staff enough for the love and care they give Jersey and Abby!

We have been taking our golden doodle Benny for both boarding and grooming since he was a puppy. He is almost 3 now. The boarding has been exceptional. From the front desk to the caretakers of Benny during his stay. He always comes home happy and obviously well treated. On the grooming side of Animal House we have great results. The staff understands our desires for his grooming and he always looks great when done. A special shout out to Amanda the groomer who does and outstanding job of grooming Benny every time. If you have a golden doodle ask for Amanda to be your groomer. You won’t be disappointed.

Animal House has taken care of my boy Cody for 4 years now and I have nothing, but great experiences. The staff are always nice and they always make sure your loved one is well taken care of. The great experiences I have are many, but my most recent one was the staff going out of their way to get a Christmas photo of my dog when unfortunately he was missed during the regular shooting in the Jacksonville location. They drove him to and from Wilmington in the Barking Bus to take his photo and then made the photo and daycare that day free with many apologies expressed. Also, the amount of activities they have throughout the year in regards to parties, treats, and photo ops is wonderful. If anyone needs a place to take their furry loved one for care, this is the place.

They know her by name and are always excited to see her. They offer fun holiday parties and picture days as well. We feel confident that they care for her like their own each time she goes.

Chantel was great with grooming my 3 year old golden doodle. He can be very rambunctious and excitable but she handled him with such grace and gave him rubs and love that no other groomer/veterinarian ever has. She also asked in detail what I wanted for his haircut and checked with me once he was ready to be picked up that it was what we wanted. I will 100% be requesting her next time! The check in staff were lovely as well and very approachable.

Staff are very knowledgeable and obviously love dogs. I took the tour and was very impressed. My Havanese puppy (9 months old) had her first day at ‘camp’ and Loved it. She’d never been around other dogs, her best buds at home are 2 cats. She’s shy and slightly nervous around new people too. She made 3 new pup friends, a slew of people friends, and jumped right into the pool for a swim. I highly recommend Animal House and Guinness will be a regular.

I was referred to Animal House by a stranger after I told her about a horrible groom my dog received from a different place. She told me about Animal House and referred me to Necole. In the beginning, Nemo and I both were anxious because his first groom didn't go so well, but Necole met us in the lobby for his first groom to consult with me on how I wanted him to be cut, and she calmed us both down. I felt better about leaving him after that. He's been going there now about 3 months, and he seems to love it! His anxiety about grooming seems to have disappeared, therefore, so has mine. He smells great and his cut is always how I ask when I get him back. I give this business 5 out of 5 stars!UPDATE: Nemo has been going to Animal House for almost 2 years and he still LOVES it there.

Oliver, my 3 yr old Cavalier King Charles had his first grooming here this week after moving here from Pa this month. The staff was welcoming and friendly. We got an appointment right away. They gave Oliver respect and kindness since he was new and fearful. His grooming was beautifully done. The groomer was so compassionate and I felt comfortable leaving Oliver with her. The price was very reasonable. I will be seeing them every 6 weeks. Thank you Animal House ❤🐾

I can never say enough good things about Animal House. I began taking my dog Kona there when she was still a puppy after my best friend took his dog there and loved it.Kona has been going to day camp for over two years now and she loves it! Every morning she waits by the door to get in the car and head there. At the end of the day she is so happy from playing with her friends, but also exhausted and sleeps all night.The staff is incredibly friendly and as per owners themselves, they take pride in treating every animal as family. I also love the events and parties they plan around holidays (some photos below).I feel comfortable boarding her when I leave town too as they have cameras you can watch and they provide a report card showing every time they plays, goes potty and eats.If you’re looking for a place to take your animals, look no further!
