The girl there, named Ray, was the best pet care person I have ever met.. She answered all our questions and if she didn't know she went and found the answer.. She was honest and gave us the best deals... We will definitely go back. She deserves a raise and recognition for her customer care and her knowledge of the animals they sell.

I come here often for my reptile and dog. I haven't had a bad encounter or poor service. This place has excellent employees who care about and know about animals, most of whom seem to have a zoo of animals of their own. 10/10

The associate who helped my son and I went above and beyond. He was purchasing his first hamster and she took the time to educate him on how to care for it and even helped us pick out all of the necessities. Super thankful for her!

Disappointed. We paid for a 45 minute first private lesson with a dog trainer and got 15 minutes of training. Felt like they were more concerned about selling more private lessons than taking care of the customer. Probably won’t be back.

If I could give zero stars I would!!!! These people are horrible. I brought my dog in for grooming services at 9 am and was called to come pick him up because he sneezed. I was told services could not be continued because of this ! When I picked him up his body had been cut but his head and feet had not. See pictures!!! This is highly unacceptable! He could’ve been reacting too products used or the staff. We NEVER had this issue before. It highly sickens me that he was mistreated!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have been a loyal customer of Petco in Huntersville for several years and have never encountered any issues with getting my dog groomed until recently. Unfortunately, I've faced significant trouble at this Petco location.Initially, when I took my dog in for grooming, they informed me that he had fleas, so they couldn't proceed until that was resolved. I understood and took care of the issue. However, before I could schedule another appointment, my dog was hit by a car and had to undergo treatment at the hospital. After recovering from the medication given at the hospital, I attempted to book a grooming appointment. However, the groomer stated that my dog needed clearance from the vet before grooming could proceed. We obtained the vet's clearance, although we couldn't obtain a physical copy of the document.Upon visiting the groomers to schedule an appointment, the manager, Cody, assured me that he had spoken to the vet and my dog was cleared for grooming. He scheduled an appointment for Monday at 9 am. However, on the day of the appointment, they claimed my dog had back pain and could not be groomed. This was puzzling because we had just received clearance from the vet, and Cody had allegedly spoken to the vet. There was no actual issue with my dog, but it felt like I was repeatedly sent away without a valid reason.I strongly believe that I was treated unfairly because of my race. Despite my efforts to comply with their requirements, I was continually turned away without any courtesy calls or prior warnings. During my conversation with the manager, I became upset, and he abruptly stated, "Because this has gone too far, don't bring your pet back here." It seemed evident to me that he had wanted to express this sentiment from the beginning. Frankly, I believe he doesn't want to serve anyone whose skin color doesn't match his skin color.

Cecilia was polite in the vet’s office. The actual vet was rude and dismissive. Not sure if it was my pup’s breed (American bully) or she was just judging my appearance since I was wearing a hoodie and sweats (45 outside). I didn’t have my records at the time of the visit but instead of politely informing me they couldn’t see my puppy that day, she says “well it’s required by the county so there’s nothing I can do for you.” Then proceeds to ask if I want to pay for vaccines that my dog has already received previously.

I'd give (-10) stars to the grooming department if I could. I've never experienced a business who did not care about their customers or the sheer blatant amount of incompetence. I visited this location 5 separate instances, and was only able to get my 9 pound Toy Poodle groomed once. They had some excuse why they couldn't take her every other time. The staff had created multiple incorrect profiles on our furry friend. All of which had her name incorrect and weight, and then did not file her updated rabies vaccination. To add to, the one time they did accept her, the noted that she bite them. She would never. Has a heart so big that I don't know gow it fits in her chest. Needless to say, they would not take her to be groomed because of that. Even looking from the other side that if she had bite the groomers, they never once conveyed to me that she had and I had been there 3 additional times, where the just wasted my time and could have told me. Avoid this place like a plague. They are liars and incompetent.

Excellent service when finding our dog treats & using our Rewards, improvement could be seen in Petco improving its IT system in transactions & approvals, etc. it seems employees are waiting too long for system responses, for example in using several of my $5 rewards, the employee had to enter each one separately, slow system responses are noticeable, your customers are feeling it at times, otherwise great job!

I own two freshwater aquariums and I have gotten most of my supplies for setting up and taking care of them from here over the years. I've gotten free water testing done here, in which they'll test for whatever chemical you want and tell you if you have dangerous levels of it. It was extremely helpful after some of my new fish died. The reason I'm giving not giving five stars is because of the fish. At the store, there are frequently dead fish in multiple tanks on display. And on occasion, when I do buy fish from here, they will die within a few days of buying them (And yes I acclimated them right. I've had a fish tank for a decade I know what I'm doing, and a pond for another 15). Besides that the employees are all nice and very helpful, whether it be with tips for your aquarium or finding items in store.

We’ve had a great experience here. We love our groomer (Bry). I’m annoying but they always take time to answer questions and help. Great deals on food and toys for our pups.

I have been bring my 2 dachshund’s here since 2022 and about to add a 3rd little weenie to their client list! I know my dogs are not saints or angels and the grooming staff always greet us with open arms and treat them like their own! My babies always come out looking their best!

We had been taking our two Goldendoodles here to be groomed for years but unfortunately the last two times our larger dog has been nicked resulting in two vet visits with a cone and antibiotics. I called and let them know but they refused to cover the outrageous vet bills. We then decided to give them another chance and at the next appointment they refused to honor the “8th free groom” that we had from the app. We will not be going back to this location.

I would give the grooming service at this place zero stars if I could. I took my 2 year old labradoodle for a grooming service and was very specific with the groomer about simply "shaping" the coat not "cutting". He pushed back and told me that he recommended a "naked cut" to which I adamantly declined and specified that I wanted to maintain the length and simply wanted to "SHAPE" the cut. I even paid extra so she could get her fur conditioned and brushed. He did the complete opposite of what I asked. He completely shaved her fur off. He even shaved her beautiful eyelashes off. The level of disregard for my request and care for my dog is APPALLING. I do not recommend at all. A five year old would have done a better job.

I had a great experience this afternoon, I was buying cat food and the lady gave me a coupon and I was really appreciative. However its only 4 stars because this location seems understaffed, there are times where’s theres nobody at the front to check me out.

I do not recommend the grooming service, they are dishonest, I made the appointment through their app and requested basic service for each of my dogs and when we went to pick them up they charged us for services that we did not ask for, they did not properly apply the coupon from their own application and despite what they did to us, they charged us 15% tip per pet, we ended up paying $100 for what should have been $54

I come here for grooming. I am a pawtree pet pro so I only give my doggie, pawtree food and treats, but the groomers are amazing here. My doggie lives them.

I had a Vet prescription for Bravecto. They sale the product.They wouldn't sale the product to me unless I paid their vet feeThe store’s action has only caused suffering for my dog, and a flea problem in a house with a child. Hope they're proud of their greedy selfs.
