Grateful Pets went above and beyond!! My Great Pyrenees is stubborn and can be a brat. Crystal came in on her day off to bath and groom my dog!!! She did exactly what I asked and more!! Some groomers have shaved my dog to the skin in the past.Crystal did an amazing job and Hazel is now ready to enjoy the summer months without getting a sunburn!! I am very GRATEFUL ❤️

The team at Grateful pets is amazing! They truly love their pet customers as if they were their own. Chris, Heather and James provide a wonderful home away from home for our dog when we travel. Not everyone can do the type of work that is required to care for animals, but this compassionate team truly has a gift for loving your animals just as you would at home. We consider Grateful Pets as an extension of our pet's family unit. Thank you, Chris, Heather and James, for all that you do. We appreciate you beyond measure.

Used Beatties Ford location for boarding and grateful to staff for taking care of my baby girl maltese. Only complaint was my puppy smelled of urine, had to shampoo upon arrival home. Other than that would certainly use again for boarding.

I was a dog groomer for several years and got tired of grooming my baby at home, so I gave GP a shot and set up an appointment.A friendly man checked us in and took haircut instructions - I was very specific and clear because I know exactly what grooming language to use - and a nice lady did his haircut.Overall, his haircut looks decent. However, three things disappointed me:1. I told the man at check-in that I did not want his ears cut at all since I am letting them grow out. His ears got cut anyway and one has a large clipper line in it. I didn’t see him write any of my instructions down, so maybe the groomer didn’t get the message. Also, his ears were not cleaned on the inside.2. Under his jaw, a large line of hair was missed during shaving and is very noticeable.3. His nails were not buffed, even though I asked for it at check-in and paid extra for it.It looks like most of his nails were cut too short and powder applied to stop the bleeding. As a past groomer myself, I understand that this happens regularly and is not worrisome to me. But I know that they still could have buffed around the very edges of the nail to smooth them without causing bleeding again. And I should not have been charged for something that did not get done.The man said they were fitting me in today, so this leads me to believe that maybe these things wouldn’t have happened if the staff had a lighter workload. I told them I was in no rush. I would rather wait longer and feel satisfied with the money I spend on services.If I had driven back, I’m sure they would have fixed the hair that was missed and buffed his nails. But I really didn’t want to make a third trip, nor should I have to.My advice is to do a thorough check on your pet before leaving the building. I could have caught the neck hair and nails, but can’t get back the hair that was cut off his ears.

I called to get info about booking and what shots are needed for grooming. The gentleman who picked up the phone raised his voice at me and was very rude. He seemed to be mad about the fact that I was calling after hours. (I was hoping to just leave a voicemail because I was unable to call earlier in the day.). So why is he picking up the phone if he doesn’t want to talk to potential customers? Just don’t pick up the phone- not a way to run a business.Also please be advised that I read another review that thought this place was under new management. That would make sense as to why they have so many good reviews with the experience I had, possibly from their time under previous management.

The people here were very patient with my "Roxanne"(her 1st time )because she is very protective so it took about 30mins to calm her down but the dog bath only took about 8mins for $60... Just wanted to know if this is the norm for anyone else?

We took our (super hyper) Australian shepherd here and they did wonderful. We asked them for a close shave for the summer; he came back looking like a new pup! I've seen others complain about their pets not receiving water; yes, he was thirsty when he got home but I thought it was completely normal given that he is probably hyped up & more alert than usual being in an environment with other dogs. I think they took great care of him & we will be returning!! Thank you!

The services provided by the groomer Marie are always great as my little man looks so handsome and Lynn the receptionist is always full of joy and a smile; however, i think Friday Sept. 13 was my last 15 minute/ 12 mile drive to Grateful Pets.I have been using them since they opened on Beatties Ford but the young receptionist on yesterday was just a bit much.I dropped dog off at 11:50 and she called at 1:10 to say he was ready which seemed to be a really short time for a bath, cut, nails and dry. I finished my meal that i had just sat down to eat and at 2:09 I get the same person calling me back in a very snide manner saying "Your Dog is Ready and we close at 2PM!" I replied with it 2:09PM! Shouldn't someone have informed me of your early closing?! The response....."Yeah, yeah, i mean 2:30PM." What kind of response and service is "Yeah, yeah!"I got in my car and arrived at 2:27 PM. So if I arrived at 2:31 PM would my dog have just been boarded with no option to retrieve.I think Marie is great but I drive too far to have that kind of service when there are plenty choices around me.

My wife took our dog Jax to this place. Not long after, that little rat was the cutest rat in the WORLD!!!!! He had me saying, "Ohh em Gee! What a cutie patootie!" This place had my little dog smelling like I could throw him in the oven and eat him like Turkey day. That's why they get 5 stars.

Best groomers in Charlotte I trust them with my fur babies they always look good and I treated very well while in their care you take him and drop them off and they call you when they're done it doesn't take six hours like other places and now they have more than one location

I found my forever pet groomer. I called at the last minute desperate to have my Jackson cleaned and was told to bring him in less than an hour. My baby was so fresh and clean when we picked him up.

In the midst of winter, dropped my husky off to get washed and groomed. I specifically said to obviously not shave her, just wash and groom. She was shaved to the skin IN WINTER. Beautiful tail looked like a rats tail and she was traumatized. Stayed away from everyone for about a week. I hope this place spontaneously combusts (without pets being in there, of course)

I can't say enough about Grateful Pets! The staff is so friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth. They were so courteous to me and gentle with our two sweet fur babies. I have had several people recommend them so I gave them a try and I'm thoroughly pleased. Kim and Star are truly amazing and I won't be going anywhere else! Thanks for meeting my expectations and still staying in a reasonable price range.

Great service with great prices, wouldn't take my pet anywhere else 😊Edit: After about 2.5 years of good service, our last appointments here were disappointing. We kept trying to make it work as this was the only groomer we had taken our dog to. Our last appointment here was so bad that Corporate called to apologize & set up some complementary services. Apparently the groomer was having a bad day & instead of trimming our dog, she shaved him. We were going to give them 1 last chance but for weeks they never picked up the phone, so we moved on to another groomer. This all happened a couple of months ago, maybe they're doing better now.

This was the worst experience I ever had with a pet groomer. When I opened the door to walk in, a large pitbull ran up and attacked me and my dog. A lady came from the back and was crying and cursing me out to close the door. Never going there again. I turned around and left and when I closed the door she started cursing me out again like I did something wrong.
