0 STARS would be my rating!! I frequent this store fairly often for small things i need to get really quick. HOWEVER, lately Quick is not a word you can use for this store. I ran in at lunch today to grab a few things and ended up standing at the front counter for WAY TO LONG waiting for someone to come and check me out. It was a good 10 minutes or more. Now i have waited on them before but never this long. While i was standing there an employee came in from outside and went into the office. They had to have seen me. I was on my lunch break from work and needed to make another stop after, but my time was eaten up standing and waiting at FD instead. AND to add insult to injury when the girl finally came from somewhere in the back she acted like she was mad because i was there, like i had interrupted her or something. She was curt and was slamming things in bags, etc. I completed my transaction and left without saying a word, because i didn't want to go off, which is about what was going to happen if i opened my mouth. They are never really friendly in this store, but today was the worst i have ever seen. I will not be back for a LONG LONG time IF EVER!! No matter how convenient. AND if this is the best Family Dollar can do they may as well shut it down and be done. If they can't hire enough help to take care of their customers and get the stocking and inventory stuff done BOTH, then they do not have any business being open at all.

I'm bringing my rating to 3 stars not because this is a bad store. Just want that to be understood, because I do like the store. It's convenient and I can usually find what I'm looking for there and prices are reasonable. Ok, that said, back to why I'm lowering my rating. Anyone who knows me, knows if I'm doing ANYTHING, I'm doing it at the last minute!! Bad habit I know, but it's the truth. So I feel like well, I know the store says it closes at this time so if I make it there 10 minutes before that time. I feel like the doors shouldn't already be locked and seeing the employees standing at the registers like they're waiting for a customer until the store closes and they can run out the doors 2 mins later. I've even been there as much as. An hour before closing and had the same issues. This is just my opinion and I'm still going to shop here because I like it and when I can see that this issue I'm having with the store locking the store before the posted closing times is resolved. I will be happy to give them 5 stars again.

I like most of the employees here however there has been a HUGE increase in the amount of out of date food and drinks on the shelves. Stale, opened stuff as well, I know it's always good to double check but it has reached the point of having to check every single item there.

Absolute worst customer service. They would rather loose a customer over 9 dollars than make the customer happy over 50% off sign that was not in the right place. The lady even lied and said there were items in that place that the sign related to and there were not. No integrity and lazy…the store is a wreck. You can tell there is no nightly, weekly, or even monthly recovery! Geez. Family dollar you need help!

Stop by the store today and when I went to check out. There was a line of people with no cashiers. The customers walked the whole store and no employees could be found. Turns out they decided to take a break together outside. I get that employees need breaks, but that is why two people are scheduled so the store isn't left unattended. Whoever runs this area may want to be aware of the gigantic security risk their employees are allowing.

I got there when they usually open and they changed their time to open later. So I left to run down the road then come back... sat in the parking lot till 9... For a woman to put a register down sign in front of my face. Absolute waste of time.

The worst shopping experience of my life. I have shopped at the store for the last eight or nine years. But today, I did not catch her name but trust me I will get it as me and several other people have already called corporate and plan to handle this problem, she has long brown hair in a ponytail and I believe she wore glasses very bad skin by the way. Well I had bought a make up bag that had smaller individual make up bags inside. Bags like this come with brown tissue paper on the inside. She proceeded to open everything Single individual small bag inside the make up bag. claimed and she had to remove the brown tissue out. I have bought many make up bags over the years and never has a cashier had to take out the tissue inside. I’m not stupid I am a mixed woman with Tan skin and this was blatant racial profiling and racism. After she handed me my change and told me to have a nice day I told her to have a nice day too and thank you for racially profiling me because I know you did not have to take out the brown paper out of everything. The customer is always right, did I get a professional apology? No I got a smirk. Will never shop at the store again. Learn to not racially profile people based off their looks! I have been a good customer and have never stolen anything why I got treated this way today I will never know... oh yeah that’s Caldwell for you!!

I unfortunately left a bag behind. Got home realized it was not in the vihicle. Teturned to store clerk behind registered asured me he didn't have the bag containing my items. When back home to check onece and nope. I returned to yo store see of i coukd get some answers from camara footage.... yup young copule took my bag. My dislke and frustration was the manager she wouldn't acknowledge me while in the office, i called her name out three times standing no more than ten feet from her. That's not how a manager to a local small town business should act. Rude, and inconsiderate about costumers need and assisting regular consumers. I will no longer visit this store they have lost my business. Sorry to say.

This store has the most rude people I have ever seen working a store. Every visit the manager or the cashier is always in the office never at the register never no where to be found to help a customer. I bought a shirt wanted to exchange didn't have recipt had bought 2 days before. The Manager told me she had never seen the shirt. There was 4 more shirts hanging on the rack. Needless to say I found the receipt and got my money back. I will not visit this store Ever again.

I went in there for the first time so happy to give them business. However it was literally not until I was in the checkout that the cashier noticed the card in my hand saying, "Oh, are you paying with card, it won't work you can try it a few times if you want. " Three attempts later she was like, "Well would you like to pay with cash?" No lady I do not have the cash that is why I was using a card. She knew this to be a problem, as well as her coworker, but still there was no sign posted on the door. What a waste of 20 minutes. Even if they fix their credit card terminals I will not be back. You just lost a customer. (a really good customer to have at that)

Do not shop here if you plan on buying a lot you can not use the buggy to take your items to the car!I had 14 bags and could not use the buggy and they do not watch your merchandise while you make trips to the car!

We had 12+ inches of snow yesterday. This store had not scraped the parking lot! Very dangerous! The poor employees are expected to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Have you no heart Family Dollar???

The sign in the door says "masks required". Several customers did not have on masks. The cashier's mask was under her nose (it doesn't work that way). To make matters worse, as she was completing my transaction, she pulled the mask away from her face and coughed (on her hand the mask, etc. Did NOT attempt to cover the cough). Then, she used to the hand she had just coughed on to hand me my receipt.

The store is a mess. I couldn't navigate the aisles with a basket, let alone a cart. The aisles are cluttered, the shelves are in disarray, and the employees are rude. The only redeeming quality is that they had the Panettone that I was looking for.

Love the toy sales they have had for Christmas makes it easier for lower income families to get Christmas for their kids and other needs for the home and personal care idems aren't unreachable due to great prices
