My dog and I saw Dr. Byrd at the end of April, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience. The reception staff are SO kind, even with noisy pets and owners, and I was able to wait in the car with my dog before our appointment. There are separate entrances and seating for cats and dogs, which is an incredible touch. Once in the room, the vet tech was personable with me and my dog as it was his first visit at this location. Dr. Byrd came in and squatted on the floor, letting my dog approach her at his own speed. She giggled as my dog gave her kisses, and she made both of us feel so comfortable and welcome. She prescribed him a few medications, and in two-ish short weeks, all of his symptoms were gone. The checkout process was easy, and the pricing was affordable! I can’t thank this entire team enough for their welcome arms and smiles, and I can’t wait to return for my dog’s annual visit. Thank you, Animed!

In my opinion, AniMed has potential for a great clinic; however, they are incapable of being respectful to the customers time. In the three "appointments" I have had, I have waited between 30-45 minutes past my "appointment" time. Poor front office scheduling. Build a safety stock for emergencies and walk-ins, but don't waste customer's time.Friendly staff, clean area. Really nice doctors. The prices are consistent with other vet clinics.

Dr. Byrd and the staff at Animed are absolutely the greatest. She helped me out with my maincoone cat and I feel she saved his life. Helped me out with the operation and made all the arrangements to have him monitored and we'll taken care of. They really care about your fur babies and not just a robot controlled atmosphere. I would highly recommend these guys

Dr. Haga and staff were wonderful with our Harper. She received so much love from everyone and lots of treats. Thank you to everyone at Animed for making Harper (and my) first visit a great one. Looking forward to upcoming appointments as I know Harper is as well.

Had an appointment for 10am. After taking a half day from work to bring her only to be told “sorry we have no appointment and could wait on the walk in list.” If this is the way we are going to start I’m all set will go elsewhere. I almost feel they just told me I had an appointment so I would not go elsewhere. Unless it’s an emergency I always make an appointment. Very disappointed

I like the fact that if you can’t get an appointment they have walk-in hours. I have had to wait a long time but I feel the wait is worth it. I have confidence in the vets and staff to take good care of our cats.Thank You Dr. Byrd, Dr Haga and staff.

I love this place, super convenient to my home. They have walk in hours, but be prepared to wait. They can take care of your senior citizens and fur babies, from basic shots and flea meds to tests and heartworm prevention. Also, IMO, reasonably priced.

We came in there praying for a solution, but we knew the truth. We wanted to keep our Hiro forever and Dr. Byrd took every step to trying to help us do that. She took time to research making sure she wasn't missing anything or a solution. She was so amazing in this difficult time. She offered a temporary solution, but told us it was our decision and let us have as much time as we needed to discuss it. We made the hardest, heart wrenching decision and Dr. Byrd took so much care to give us our time before, during making sure we were ready and after letting us mourn our buddy. Thank you so much to her and her staff for caring not only about our Hiro, but us. Here's to Hiro's new adventure free of pain! <3

So far so good. Wasn't that much more expensive than the "cheapest place in town" where I would've had to wait hours with a sick cat in the cold & they had an appointment available far sooner than any other place around that does appts. I called several places after my mobile vet wasn't able to do a full senior panel on my sick cat.Dr. Haga is kind & compassionate with my now diabetic kitty & took the time to discuss the options with me including a cost comparison. He loves his work & keeps up to date on the latest information. He answered all my questions & still asked if I had any more. He didn't rush me out of the room or act like he had anything better to do than to tend to me & my cat during our appt. I know he's busy though because as soon as the back door to the room opens, he has 2-3 techs with different issues they need him for. I LOVE THAT HE PUTS HIS PATIENTS AS HIS PRIORITY even if it's for just the time he's in the room.I feel comfortable bringing my cats to him & my cat was comfortable with him!! ❤️ He reminds me of my old vet that retired (from a different place) that was very good. I miss Dr. Cleek, but Dr. Haga is my new cat 😺 vet. I might even get their regular vaccines through him instead of taking them to Tractor Supply or having to pay extra for a mobile vet to come to the house. I'll have to check their prices on that when the time comes next year. With 4 big dogs & 2 cats getting all their vaccines, money matters.My mobile vet couldn't do the senior panel lab work that my 12 yo kitty needed for his diagnosis. I suspected diabetes with his symptoms, but it has to be actually diagnosed to medicate. It could've been kidney failure, too. He wasn't able to get on the oral med due to how close he is to ketoacidosis, but Dr. Haga did a super good job showing me how to give my cat his insulin shots.Within 24 hrs, I could see that he felt better, was moving more, drinking less, & is using the litterbox again like magic!!

My Walter had a dental today under the veterinary care of Dr. Byrd and staff. I have never felt better about leaving my pup. I knew he was in caring, fully capable hands. Everyone was kind and answered all of my questions even though I’m quite an irritating helicopter mom. Handing Walter over to his favorite tech this morning was such a site to see and I am so grateful to associate with such a caring staff. If you are looking for a wonderful doctor and support staff, please visit Dr. Byrd and the ladies there, you won’t regret it.

We are new to the area and needed my boy Ash seen today for an acute issue.Every single employee here was amazing! The moment I walked in the door the expectation was set, I knew I would be waiting as a walk in and it was so worth the wait. The front desk, vet techs and Dr. Byrd were so compassionate, thorough, professional and kind! I cannot say enough great things about them and the care they gave us. From the kindness of the front desk staff, to the amazing doctor and vet techs, I cannot recommend this clinic enough. I took our baby girl Kinsey to Animed because she was peeing blood again. The Dr in one visit was able to tell what is was and what was causing it. He sent us home with antibiotics and our baby girl is doing great. The staff was great and the Dr was Awesome. I will continue to go to Animed. Kinsey likes the Dr and staff. Recently located to Swansboro & needed new vet for my GSD Jenna. I’ve been to a lot of vets over the years and by far this is the best experience I’ve ever had! Dr Haga was so knowledgeable & I learned so much from him, things that had never been explained to me in the past. He spent a lot of time with me & Jenna about her conditions. The most surprising is that with his treatment plan, Jenna’s itching has decreased dramatically in just 1 day! So, so grateful! Highly recommend!

I brought my French Bulldog puppy to Animed in Hubert for his 12 week check up and vaccinations. I went as a walk in. The staff was very polite and helpful. I followed their simple instructions to check in and was seen faster then I expected. Both the vet tech and the vet were great. They answered all of my questions and took great care of my puppy. Sure it would be nice to be in and out without waiting at all, but the fact that they saw me at all without an appointment is good enough for me.

After getting my dog all up to date on all of his shots last week and getting a shot record in order to have him boarded. I come to find out they put the wrong date for his bordetella vaccine. This being Saturday and hours before I leave for a week long trip I am now unable to board my dog with no way of proving my dog has up to date vaccines since they are closed the whole weekend. I will be changing my vet immediately regardless of how much it costs or how far away it is. I will never return to this vet again.

The staff is welcoming and friendly. We made appointments and didn’t have to wait forever to be seen. I took both my dog and cat to be seen and my cat does not do well at the vet. All previous vets have had to wear long gloves, take the top off the kennel just to get to her, and some even wanted to sedate her. Animed knew how to handle her and do what needed to be done without much fuss. It was definitely the best experience I’ve ever had at a vets office with my cat! I was also very pleased with their costs. I expected to pay so much more!

Being a first time customer and bringing over a new pet from a different system always seems to be a bit of a pain but Animed exceeded expectations. My experience there was very relaxed and felt confident that the team was going to make sure my puppy was taken care of. I brought her in for infection and discomfort on her abdomen and the doc quickly identified the problem and chose a treatment that has her feeling dramatically better already and it's been less than 24 hours.

The staff are excellent and take very good care of my pups. They genuinely care about the animals and Dr. H is very patient with my protective boy and hyper girl. They were also very patient with me after my pups surgery when I had a million questions. They answered every one and took the time to explain things to me. I Went In with My 3 month old Puppy? Roxy yesterday a on the 11th and the staff was so nice and so loving toward my dog. They were gentle they were kind and the sweetest people I have ever seen the doctor, dr Haga Was absolutely amazing my dog felt so comfortable as a 3 month old puppy instead of being scared she was happy and comfortable and relaxed I thank you. I was so worried and didn't want my dog to be afraid of the vet. I don't see that being the case. She loves going there she didn't even want to leave. You guys are all doing a great job. I give you five stars I'd give you more if I could. Very highly recommended.

I have never had a bad experience here. My pup is very feisty and can be somewhat intimidating. I always offer permission to muzzle her if that makes everyone more comfortable. They have not felt the need to yet. Everyone is very calm and patient with her. We get the exam done together. Recently I brought my pup in due to complications after being spayed. They took great care of us and sent me home with new medicines. My pup is already starting to feel better.
