Came in around lunchtime. (2-24) I was seated right away. The service was great. My Cobb salad was really good. The use head lettuce, not the bag lettuce. The chicken that was on the salad was cooked prefect. I like that you can sit on the deck and watch the water roll down the stream. If in the area definitely worth checking them out.

Wife and I decided to try some of the local cuisine for our last night out in Hot Springs. I'm so glad we did! This place was awesome. Everything from the atmosphere to the food being served was just what we were hoping for. We felt like we stepped back in time. The whole experience was a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The great food just made the experience that much better! We will most definitely be back!

Sunday night @ 7pm (1 hr before closing) middle of November only 3 tables occupied. I liked everything our table ordered except the hand cut fries 🍟 ❌ as to me they taste burnt or old grease. My son got 12 Hot Spring Wings, 1/2 Bee-sting 🐝 and 1/2 Killer Bee 🐝 (he says the flavor was insane), I had the Buffalo Chicken 🐔 Sandwich with Killer Bee 🐝 sauce (very tasty if you like spicy food), and my daughter ordered a Cheese pizza 🍕 it had a nice flavor!

Placed a Togo order for two burgers and fries. The burgers was really good, but my fries another story. I waited almost an hour for my food and I had to wait outside. It’s cold and windy, I had to park away from the restaurant. The hostess was very nice, but it was a poor experience wait wise and then to get home and find my fries over cooked. My order was $30.

This restaurant needs to update its online menu because it's 5 yrs out of date.The owner was kind enough to tell me about the inaccuracy of my statement. I just looked up the restaurant again and found those same dishes, the ones no longer served.Perhaps the restaurant needs to get rid of erroneous websites that are most definitely out there.I haven't eaten there, and now I never will. Fortunately, there are several good places nearby, such as The Iron Horse, a pizza place, and a good diner. Hot Springs is a wonderful little town, with or without Spring Creek Tavern.

Great service and food was amazing! Huge portions! One order of tots or fry’s is enough for four people! We could only eat half our sandwiches and took the rest for leftovers! Reasonably priced and had some tasty local brews!

I’ve been here several times and always love it. Last night we sat on the deck and Summer was so helpful with choosing our beers and recommending the fried pickles (not on the menu). They were to die for - pickle spears, not chips! I got the buffalo chicken sandwich, which is always delicious, and my husband got the cheesesteak, which he said is the best he’s ever had. We enjoyed the basket of fries, too! We’ll be back, as we just live in Greeneville, TN!

Fuel up and refresh at the Spring Creek Tavern. I came and ordered the Honey Habernero chicken wings - twice. They were so dang good. On our two trips, I was also able to try the fried okra, the cheeseburger, French fries, and the house salad. The menu is perfectly simple with plenty of on-point options to enjoy down in the holler of Hot Springs, NC with a front seat view of the picturesque Spring Creek, a tributary of the nearby French Broad River. Central in Hot Springs to many AirBnbs and outdoor activities such as the Hot Springs Rafting Co. and fishing and playing in the creek.Go ahead and order anything- it was all delicious. I gave the service a lower rating due to the fact she needed to replenish the beverages more often and was late with the condiments so the group had to stare at their hot cheeseburgers for several minutes before they could dig in. Other than that. On point.

Food and service are wonderful! I’ve read that some people say the service can be slow. It appears that your food is prepared as it’s ordered. I’ve been there twice, and my food has always been hot and fresh. The next time I’m in Hot Springs, I’ll be sure to visit again! Catfish Tacos, cheese sticks, okra, tots, Philly melt, Italian wrap, and club wrap are all delicious! You can’t go wrong with any of these. I recommend sitting by the creek if you can!

Excellent atmosphere! Went on our first night in town and had to go back before we left because it's the best! The Buffalo style chicken sandwich was so big! Very unique sauce that I will certainly miss. Would get every time if I didn't want to explore the menu more! The French fries were so fresh and delicious! And we had to get the cheese sticks of course after reading other reviews, so happy we did! Thanks for the wonderful service and deliciousness! Highly recommend!

After soaking in the hot springs tub, we were hungry. We decided to try out Spring Creek Tavern.This place has a great laid back vibe. We sat outside on the deck by the river. Ellin was super welcoming and a wonderful server.Of course we tried the world famous cheese sticks. Which were pretty amazing. I also tried a couple a of dark “baby beers” (my name for them … they called them samples).We settled on wings & tots and a pizza, classic tavern food. Everything was delicious and really hit the spot!Ended up taking a bunch of it home with us … bonus it all reheated fabulously!

We have been to this establishment a dozen times over the past few years and it is never a let down. This past weekend, we ate there both Friday and Saturday. The local crowd is always awesome and very friendly. The husband and wife team that own/run the place are great. Service is always on point. We did order a pizza for the first time. I watched them make it, lots of TLC goes into each pizza. It is a very interesting process, they build the pizza and throw it on the grill. Yes, the grill, where the burgs and everything else is cooked. Looked like a few minutes, then the pizza goes into a wood fired pizza oven. They used a mini blower to stoke the fire and the pizza spachela thingy to block the opening (making it hot?). Decent size, looks like a 14” or so……. Perfect to split with someone, like we did.The end result was an excellent, very impressive pizza. Some other meals and apps - MUST TRY - their world famous cheese sticks! I am not so sure about world famous - but these are to die for, excellent - I wanted to eat a second order. Good stuff - PRO HINT - their ranch (maybe homemade?) is awesome, order some for dipping, then order some hot sauce and mix - game changer!!!!! Fried mushrooms, very good. I am pretty sure they were frozen, but if so - just as good as hand battered. Yummy. I also went with the Philly Cheese Steak Soup in a bread bowl. Flavor wise - the soup was great. I was just not impressed with quantity, to me it was more like an appetizer.Several local beers on tap A+++++. Again, service was outstanding and all their employees are very friendly and have great attitudes.

I can’t believe it took me 6 years of living here to come in. We recently ordered from this place for a To-go meal (for seven people) and it was great! The wings were amazing, perfectly seasoned and smothering of sauce, the jalapeno poppers had just the right amount of kick, and amazing taco salad. Although there was a tiny issue with my order, the staff quickly made it right, showcasing excellent customer service. Overall, a stellar experience deserving of 5 stars!

Let’s just say the organization of this place is on spot. From the bouncer at the front door to the expediting out of the kitchen. In a small town this place brings back what service should be. One waitress building a relationship with her customers, knowing every drink or beer, leaving her customers with a joke and a smile. Placing kids orders over others having a good night. The bee sting is where it’s at. Go pack!

Spent the best afternoon on the covered, creekside deck at Spring Creek Tavern!We hung out for a few hours and ate everything and drank everything. It was a pretty awesome way to enjoy a lazy Saturday and our server was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Locals, hikers and tourists came and went and the people watching was great on the deck.The footlong baked bean hotdog is as decadent as it sounds, we also had the pepperoni stuffed breadsticks and a massive basket of crispy tater tots. I love trying local beers and ciders when I’m on vacation and they had an amazing selection.Highly recommend stopping by here for great drinks and a tasty meal with good people if you are in Hot Springs.

Paid entirely too much for the food I got here! I think the person that rang my to go order up had to have made a mistake! I ordered a BBQ sandwich, a Philly with tater tots and a kids chicken tenders...$53.00! This is absolute over priced! If you break this down I paid $13.25 per item! 4 items is what I got! Locals can't afford this and the tourists don't want to pay it either.

Popped in for a hummus plate. Looking for dairy free options which they did not have very much. We waited about thirty minutes for this hummus plate. The plate is supposed to come with carrots cucumbers classic hummus and naan bread, which we were excited to try their naan as we thought they would actually be making it themselves. We asked to have a side of the special hummus. We received about one scoop of the classic and one of the special, about 6-8 stonefire naan rounds, 6 carrot sticks, and a fourth of a cucumber which for the price i thought i was going to pay would be okay. Got the bill and it was 22$ because the side of hummus was 9$. The special hummus did not have a good flavor either, the classic wasn’t bad. We didn’t mean we wanted an entire serving according to their standards, just a little side. Our server was very sweet but unfortunately i was not prepared to pay 22$ for the sad plate that we received. We should have clarified or asked how much for sure but i just did not anticipate a scoop of hummus costing us 9$ as the average container of hummus will cost you 4-6$.
