We had a wonderful stay at Hound Heaven cabin and are already looking forward to a return trip. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, including an awesome mountain view! We really enjoyed taking a number of hikes including up to Max Patch, and along Spring Creek and Laurel River. Hot Springs is a cool town with several good restaurants and the magical Hot Springs Resort.

We had a wonderful trip to Hot Springs Cabin this past week! One thing that attracted me to renting a cabin here were all of the positive reviews. They did not disappoint!Truthfully, we are not huge dog people so we stayed in the oak cabin. It was absolutely perfect. Clean, and the view was breath taking. Even with all the cabins booked that week, we did not see a single person or dog. It was so peaceful and quiet and just the get away we needed.The town of Hot Springs is very small, not much going on. Few shops and restaurants and a brewery. We spent a day in town and reserved a mineral bath at the spa that was very relaxing and had a great view of the river.Keep in mind that there aren't many grocery options, which we knew in advance thanks to the host. We stopped in Waynesville at Publix right off the exit to get steaks and salmon to grill on the propane grill at the cabin which worked great. Even provided an extra bottle of propane.The hot tub was very nice. This tub and cabin are definitely made for max occupancy of two. Would not recommend this particular one if you have a larger party. Perfect for the two of us.Lastly, compliments to the host who answered my emails and questions expediently and thoroughly. We came home bragging our our trip and would love to visit again some time.Thank you for a wonderful stay!

From Florida:It was my wife and I 11th wedding anniversary, this has been a wonderful experience and exactly what we needed as a anniversary vacation, the breathtaking views of the mountains, the weather, the comfort of the cabin was beyond expectations, this is not our first time coming to this cabins, and as promised, they put a bottle of wine in the cabin for us, it was a delicious wine and very nice for the occasion. We’ve had the opportunity to go to various places for our anniversary, but hands down, this is the place to be for couples. We’ll be back soon.Janny and Ania.

Our cabin was comfy, we'll equipped and private. The fenced yard was so convenient for the dogs. We all had a restful stay and hiked in the national forest every day. I can't wait to come back!Nearby activities: Fantastic hiking all around!

We stayed at Hound Heaven, and this is a lovely cabin that is clean and well kept. If your looking for some quiet seclusion, this area is meant for you. There is great trails and lots of areas to get back to nature. If your looking to be entertained, you may want to go more the Asheville side of town, but for a quiet retreat Hot Springs area is for you. This cabin is about 5 miles outside of town and the road in between is a lot of switch backs so a little bit of a slow ride (you'll want an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle). However, we brought all our food with us, and enjoyed eating out on the deck and watching the deer that came to visit each night. We followed that up with lots of soaks in the hot tub.

The Holly Cabin was the most magical place I ever stayed in NC. The drive is adventurous, and the view is taking. The nature is fantastic, and the cabin is cozy and has anything you need to get away.We will be back for sure Nearby activities: Close to Ashville and other actions

Great little getaway! It had beautiful views, it was secluded and quiet,very peaceful, and was fully stocked with everything you would ever need. The drive up is a little sketchy but that's expected if you want to be on a mountain. Otherwise everything else was perfect. We loved the bed and bedding there and we slept sooooo good! The hot tub was really nice and even bigger than I expected. The TV choices were great, and we watched movies the whole time and cuddled on the really comfy couch. Caution though! You may not want to leave! I literally had to rip my husband away from this place and remind him we have children to get back to, I could see tears in his eyes as I forced him in the truck lol we'll definitely be coming back!Nearby activities: Not much to eat in the small town but they had an awesome grill here, stove,oven, fridge, freezer, ice, and all the dishes you would need so just bring your own food. They did have a nice little dollar general up the street with really nice people there and we just got food from there and cooked.

I would give a 6 star if I could!The amenities and ambiance were the perfect remedies for overstressed city couples to find healing.We had the good fortune to hear rain on the tin roof and watch deer in the church cemetery.The cabin was beautiful.It even had plenty of hot water.Hope to come back on a visit!Noteworthy details: Definitely a quiet area in the mountains .

The Holly cabin is perfectly equipped. The bed was so comfortable that we ordered the same mattress for our home! Our furry friend appreciated all of the “paw” rated trails. The cabins are a short distance from Hot Springs. We loved hiking, enjoying a beer and tacos at Big Pillow, and relaxing in the hot tub at the Holly Cabin. Our stay was flawless and we hope to return soon.

We stayed in the Holly cabin for a few days in the fall. The cabin was awesome. It looks to have been recently redone. It's got a great rustic look outside. There's a little porch with some chairs. There's a gate so if you bring your 4 legged friend, you can keep them on the porch. Also on the porch is a grill. The inside is immaculate. Its got that all wood, rustic cabin vibe. It has a main room with a little eating area. Theres a decent sized fridge and a little oven with a 4 burner cook top and a microwave with range hood. There's all the cooking utensils and pots and pans your need for general food making. There are also plates and cups. We had breakfast there every morning and most dinners were done on the grill and cook top. You have an electric fireplace. Very cozy. A TV with YouTube+ Live TV for a little nighttime viewing before bed. The second room has a huge bed which is super comfy. There a little closet with drawers, a little washer and dryer and a sink. In a little room of the sleeping area is the shower and toilet. The water pressure was a bit low and it took a bit for the water to heat up but it was manageable. Off the back is a deck with table for some al fresco dining. The driveway in is very narrow. We did have have a little issue there. Fortunately we were at the meadow area, which has some nice views, and we could get around each other. Be advised: the roads are winding and have some very tight turns. There is a 35mph area toward the bottom of the mountain but I kept it to 25 or less the farther up I went. Dont let that dissuade you. You'll get a great cabin in a beautiful secluded area. Absolutely love this place! First time here, will definitely be back. Gorgeous views, peace and quiet. Extremely relaxing. Everything you need already here, as far as pans dishes, spices ect... Extremely clean. Bed was very comfortable! Hot tub was perfect for the chillier weather. Even my dog had a great time! The Hot Springs Cabins are a perfect getaway for 2 and we have visited in all seasons over the past several years! The cabins all are fully furnished with all you need and are all very private! We love that all but 1 of the cabins are pet friendly and all have hot tubs to enjoy! Give them a try and I assure you that you will not be disappointed one bit! The decor is great as well as all of the amenities! 5 stars for sure!! We start planning out next visit very soon after we depart!! Love this place!! The views are amazing as well in every season!

My husband and I went here for our 4 year anniversary. The cabin was cute and well decorated. It was equipped pretty fully. The only thing I wish they had was a bug zapper or candle or perhaps that they sprayed for bugs. We had a couple of spiders, mosquitoes, and other strange bugs visit us. My husband did not like the bed. It screwed up his back pretty badly. I didn't have a problem with it, they had a cal king which I've never tried, and it is huge! We enjoyed our stay for the most part. It was very quiet and serene. There are some great restaurants nearby, not tons of variety, and the good ones require a reservation due to limited hours and seating space. If you bring your own food to cook, do be aware that the oven doesn't get cleaned often, so it smokes a lot. The same goes for the grill. Our biggest gripe was probably the smell because they were pet friendly. It smelled pretty strongly of wet dog when we arrived, and it lingered for our entire stay. The bathroom didn't smell the greatest either, kinda like a porta potty. The peel and stick flooring is also coming up. It's probably due to water damage from the shower or possibly just the humidity. It did get pretty muggy as we went in summer. Overall, it was a positive experience, though. I'm not sure if we will be back or not, but we did enjoy our stay.

My partner & I stayed at the Pine Cabin for 3 nights in early April. The cabin was BEAUTIFUL, well furnished & out of sight from other cabins. The kitchen had all the necessary implements & spices for meal prep & the split wall unit kept us warm & cozy. The real treat was the on-deck hot tub where we started each morning. Sitting in the warm water, watching the steam of our breath while the sun was climbing up the trees was GLORIOUS! And visiting the town of Hot Springs took us back to many hikes we have done through this area. Thanks for this cabin & we will be back!

We had such an amazing time at The Paw Print Cabin! Our two dogs loved the yard! My husband and I LOVED the hot tub and the comfy bedding! The sheets and pillows were better than what I have at home on my own bed! The kitchen was completely stocked with everything we needed. It was a beautiful drive to get to the cabin and the town of Hot Springs was so cute and quaint! This trip was our dogs first vacation and what a fantastic place for their first trip! We definitely will be returning!

My husband and I have stayed twice. The first time was at the Oak, second at the Pine. We love both, but I probably slightly prefer the Pine cabin because it has a good bit of privacy and an easy driveway. It's always clean and well put together. It's a cozy and peaceful place. You won't regret a stay here!

Wow! Such a beautiful setting for a vacation. We were lucky enough to hit peak color a few weeks ago. The cabins are perfect for a getaway. Nicely furnished and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. Make sure you get groceries on the way in because there are few choices in town. Highly recommended for a getaway

This is a true place of peace, especially for those with furry children! The cabin has everything you could want or need. The porches are my favorite feature. The cabin has a tin roof and a hot tub, so even if it rains, it is a wonderful place to visit. The owners are so gracious and accommodating…a perfect experience!

We stayed in Hound Heaven last weekend and absolutely loved the getaway! Big meadow out front and the mountain view behind was lovely. Very comfortable bed, nice hot tub, lovely interior decor. These are pet friendly rooms, so they aren't for everyone, if you have a problem with pet hair. Only con I found-- we didn't have extra sheets--but it was so minor I didn't even see the need to bother the owners!Some people should read the website first before booking.We loved the cabin and will definitely be back! Thanks again!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Hot Springs Log Cabins. We have enjoyed two long weekends in less than a years time here because it is truly that fantastic. The cabins are well appointed, cozy, and make for a perfectly private retreat for a couples get away. Best of all, they are pet friendly. However, you'd never know it because the cabins are so clean.We, and our two pups, will certainly be back! Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to escape, especially in the midst of all this craziness.We will see you again soon!
