We just completed the puppy class with Miss Andrea with our 5 month old lab mix puppy. She's super flexible, communicative, and helpful. Zoey has learned so much in only 6 weeks! We will be taking the next fundamentals class and excited to see what's next. We really enjoyed the positive reinforcement training that has worked phenomenally with our puppy.

The Fundamentals class with Miss Andrea (Capaldo) was amazing! Our beagle puppy, Gabbie, transformed over six classes into a wonderful, more manageable companion with Miss Andrea's training and guidance. Miss Andrea was incredibly patient and encouraging with all of us, even my 8yo daughter. We loved the small class size, as it allowed Gabbie to have a lot of 1:1 training and attention. Miss Andrea also gave us great recommendations on Gabbie's nutrition. This class went above and beyond our expectations!Thank you so much, Miss Andrea! We will be back in the New Year for the Advanced class!

My Shih Tzu, DJ, just recently graduated from puppy class that was taught by Ms. Andrea, that has ABCDT credentials. She is an excellent dog trainer and i was hesitant about taking a class at a store she made it worth while. I already have my pup signed up for a second class next month. I wish Petco would provide more space for the class so more dogs could attend the class. The small training space is a negative but they do offer several classes.

The staff here is amazing. They're always so helpful and friendly. I'm greeted with a hello anytime I walk in!! Individual shout out to Kris!! He's always so helpful with answering my questions and giving top recommendations!!The vital care subscription is well worth it with the perks! The Petco staff were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful! They showed a genuine interest in my needs and my pets/and pet's needs. The store was clean and well organized - also well stocked. I was able to take advantage of the Christmas Holiday toy clearance which was great as my crew goes through toys quickly. I enjoyed this visit and will definitely make more trips to Petco!

I am taking puppy classes with Miss Andrea the dog trainer at Petco in Holly Springs. She is literally amazing! She is all about positive, reward based training and not only is she teaching my puppy (Aspen) how to do "tricks", but she is also teaching me how to teach my puppy what it means to be a "good girl". Aspen is so smart because of her and I get compliments on Aspen's behavior constantly. We even discuss difficulties that each person is experiencing with their pup and she gives advice.There are not many people in the world that care about their profession, but Miss Andrea continues to grow and learn and she passes on the information that she learns with compassion and patience. On top of that, the classes are super fun for me and my pup.

Once again I apologize for being 15 minutes past my appointment time late( which I called in traffic to say I was running late, disconnected no call back so I proceed with a sneezing Siamese cat! I worked a 16 hour shift š© at night as a Correction officer about a hour 20 minutes out of Wake county. Got there crazy tired Vet wouldn't see Us!! Front desk lady appeared to try and help me but they didn't give 2 cents!!! I Will never EVER go to Petco at this location for anything in the world for my Precious Kosmo...P.S Wish I could rate 0 Stars!!!!

The reptile care conditions here are awful. I saw AT LEAST 3 subadult and 3 young crested geckos all in one 10 gallon tank. There were two subadult bearded dragons in one tank, both missing tail tips, probably from fighting. The whites tree frogs were also a bit overcrowded. Another thing I saw was two ball pythons in one tank. Everything Ive listed here (except the frogs) are solitary species and once in the subadult stage should be kept alone. The standard of care for the reptiles needs to be changed.

Made a grooming appointment well in advance and had my dogās medical records ready. When I tried to dropped him off on the morning of, I mentioned an issue that he has. There is no medical record of it because it is not medically relevant. They immediately told me that he could not be seen by them. He has been seen by many groomers over the years and I have let those groomers know about his issue in advance. All other groomers have seen him and the grooms have gone swimmingly. You have vet care in your facility, and I (owner) was going to stay close by and told you in advance if anything happens I completely understand and just call me and you can stop the groom. They still refused to see him. If you turn down dogs for medical reasons you should be asking for that information in advance. Had I not volunteered that information they wouldnāt have asked. I made my appointment in advance and cleared a weekend around my holiday so I could get him groomed. I understand that a pets health is of the utmost importance to both myself and the petco staff, but this seemed less like a cancellation due to medical issues , and more like a āwe donāt want to deal with this todayā issue. Dogs with slight medical issues need grooms too, if you arenāt prepared to handle that, you need to get out in front of the issue and not be reactive to an owner that is trying to help you successfully groom his dog.

We purchased an Adult Dog Complete training package from this Petco in July of 2023. We signed up for the first course and completed it. When it was time for the second course, the trainer left Petco and there was no timeline on when a new trainer would arrive. After a few months, we decided to switch to a local trainer to continue our dogs training. Now Petco finally has another trainer but the only training times are in the middle of the workday AND we cannot use our previously purchased package on it. Weāve tried to get a refund but keep getting denied by the store manager.TLDR: Donāt use the training here, itās a scam and they will take your money and then make training either unavailable or only available at times no normal person could attend.

Our 1 year old puppy just finished Fundamentals class with Ms. Andrea. She was wonderful! Patient, kind and super knowledgeable!!! Highly recommend her for dog training classes.

Our dog Daisy has been trained through the fundamentals class and now the Good Canine Citizen class with the amazing Ms. Andrea! Daisy has learned a lot of new things but so have her owners! Highly recommend!

I visited the Holly Springs location to pick up hay for my 2 guinea pigs. When passing by the baby piggies they had on hand, I became concerned because for 8 or so guinea pig babies there was a very small bowl and hardly any hay in it. A CSR was near, I asked about the amount of hay, and he filled the bowl. Why is there no, hay feeder? That is a guinea pigs main source of food!!!When I went to the counter to pay, I commented on how I would be holding baby piggies all day if I worked there. A different CSR stated they had been selling lots of them....I asked if the employees were suggesting pairs since they were all bonded and doing fine and social animals...she said "oh no, those babies aren't bonded, they are going to start biting each other soon" "we will even have to separate the older ones too since they will start biting each other"Please train your people Petco, I have never heard of such absolute nonsense.

Came to PETCO to get my Pomeranian's first haircut because it's Petco and I expected experienced groomers. After 3 hours I came back to get him and I was told to go pay before I saw him.... See the photos for the $80 result.Initially with the bandana covering him, I just noticed the short cut but upon inspection in the car, I was pretty mortified that this is how he was left. Will never come back here or to Petco again for grooming services. There are so many more trusted places in the area, I really, really regret this. I had to trim it all when I got home so he looked somewhat presentable.If they felt that the job was too big they should have called me and I would have gladly paid for his bath and nails and taken him home. Instead he came back quiet, reserved, and acting strange for the rest of the night. . I want to note that he is a very docile puppy and loves baths and doesnāt ever mind when we clip his nails. She mentioned how āhe hates the thing on his neckā almost making excuses and acting weird when we were leaving. Clearly this team is not qualified and has the audacity to charge $80 for this. Had the "groomer" apologized or acknowledged I would have at least been understanding if this was her first time working with this breed. It's just a lack of communication and transparency on their side.

Service was great/friendly, store was clean and organized. I actually live much closer to a PetSmart but I drive further to PetCo because you allow pit mixes into your stores that hold doggy play dates and when my Mina was a puppy she loved doggy play dates at our previous PetCo. I appreciate that you arenāt prejudice against breeds so I try to give you business over PetSmart with their breed bullying policies.

I've been a Petco customer in various cities for more than a decade, and this is by far the worst grooming salon I've ever experienced. One of the groomers called me two weeks ago and told me that I needed to get a letter from my vet saying my dog can be safely groomed because she has a benign heart murmur. Petco has no fax number OR email address for a vet to send them information, so the guy said they could send me an email that I could just show at the salon.My dog was supposed to be groomed this past Thursday morning. They called me 20 minutes before her appointment and told me her groomer had gone home sick the day before, and they had hoped she would be back that day. Why would you want a sick employee back in less than 24 hours? And why did they wait until right before the appointment to let me know anything? They asked me to reschedule my appointment for today, 10/1. I show up this morning with my dog and the email that I would told I could just show, and was told that even though the salon manager could see the email on my phone, they wouldn't groom my dog because I needed to bring a note on letterhead from the vet.They wasted my time AGAIN because they don't properly train their employees so that they give customers the right information. If I had known that, I would have gotten said letter from the vet. But what am I supposed to do about that on a SUNDAY when they're closed? The store manager kept pretending like this wasn't a big deal and that this wasn't poor customer service. I will never shop here or use their grooming salon again. I'm done with Petco altogether.

set an appointment, then got a call later from them sounding like they didn't want to do a cut? I ended up canceling because of the way I was being talked to. we have gone before with no problems, not sure what changed with them, but it was not for the better

Disgusted by the treatment of the crested Geckos. Humidity WAYYY to low. Caging multiple Geckos In a small container with too high of a temperature and crickets all over work possible attacking on Geckos. When asked to see one I was toldā you can only hold him if you are going to buy itā never had good luck buying crickets here

Staff was amazing.. squeezed us in because my 12 hour work days and upcoming vacation.. so my fur baby didn't have to suffer longer with ear infection.. and pricing was reasonable.. unlike other places..

In the past two weeks, I bought 3 guinea pigs and all the accessories for them The staff has been awesome every time I have had to go in. The only complaint I have is that they don't really have great cages in their stores for my pigs, but no store does. It's most likely a cost of shipping issue so I won't hold it against them.

Petco in Holly Springs is typically a quick in and out shopping trip. Always someone at register ready to serve you. They have a good variety for our cats, dogs and puppies.

We will not be returning to this store. We made an in store purchase using a third party shopping company, and ended up needing to return the items purchased. The third party company was as helpful as they could have been by helping us to obtain any order information relevant to the purchase they had on file, which included an order number.The weekend manager would not honor the information provided. He stated that the third party should provide an in store purchase receipt, however, also said that he needed the actual card the purchase was made with, while also saying this wouldnāt be our credit card but the card the shopper used during the time of purchase. How does he expect this to be possible?Needles to say, Iāve made hundreds of purchases with this third party shopping company and this is the only experience that ended like this! It was easy to tell that the manager would have rather not we exist than to be helpful to us!

I was not impressed with the vetinary care. They tried to up sell me on getting shots my puppy already received. I was late for the appointment and they did squeeze me in. However, I was charged for a full first time visit even though they only spent the time it took to give him a shot. I was rushed out.The grooming staff were very nice. I only did a wash, so I can't speak for their haircuts. However, she did shave around his paws at no extra charge.

Dr. Heinz was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about skin conditions and really took time to diagnose and treat our dog. Highly recommend her.
