I've had Ms. Sandra train 2 of my dogs, both were puppies at the time. Then after I did the obedience training I did the service training, as I suffer from qualifying psychiatric illnesses.I have had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Sandra for over 4yrs ever since she trained the 1st puppy. None of which is true regarding how she acts towards the dogs nor negatively towards customers is true. Yes, during the 30min play time prior to training you will have all ages playing together. It's a matter of watching YOUR dog just like at a dog park. Ms. Sandra uses 1 of her dogs for demonstrations not as a distraction. The spray bottle or can of air are used by many trainers, if those of you that left negative reviews would do research, would know are use to correct negative behaviors.Many people fail, NOT THEIR DOGS, because they do not put in the time & energy it requires between classes to work on the homework that is given along with the previous exercises they were taught. My 2nd service dog is still in training simply because we do not leave the house enough. However, when we do he is a prime example of her leadership & as a trainer. I will need to re-enroll him in her service program because I did not follow through on the contract but I admit that it fell on me. It is part of my psychiatric illnesses. Ms. Sandra is a trainer I have referred many many times & will until she retires.Thank you for all you do, Ms. Sandra!Blessed Be

Sandra is smart, funny, experienced, and great with dogs. Thanks to her beginner obedience class, I can now walk all three of my dogs at the same time without fear of being pulled down! She will be the first to tell you that unless you do the work, you won't get results, and it did take a while - some of the lessons we are still working on, but I highly recommend her classes. I also enjoyed the health tips for dogs she shared with us each week.

I took my dog to what was supposed to be puppy training. I already warned Sandra that my dog is beyond skittish - she is terrified of everything which is not typical in a dog. So when my dog and I arrived to training I was appalled to see the following:-Not on time - she is never on time and if you arrive early she tells you to wait in the car.-the training area is held up by some fencing that looks ready to fall at any moment.-this was NOT a puppy training session as indicated. My very skittish dog gets surrounded by huge dogs with foaming at the mouth, growling and muzzles were abundant on them. Also the little training area inside had hair all over the seats and looked like it wasn't clean.-she gave us handouts and demonstrated each command one time, then expects us to get it perfect.-the puppies (including mine) had a lot to be scared of after being thrown in a chaotic atmosphere.-to tell me my dog is the runt of the little and we (other pups in class and their owners) aren't training the puppies is NOT true. The puppies were scared to death with such aggressive dogs. Not only my dog, but the other puppies were terrified!It is important to note my dog does EVERY command given - we train her at home! When such a little dog is thrown into such a chaos environment you can't expect her to obey according to your rules and such, Sandra.Several people started the class with her at the beginning, and several people did not come back after the first "training session" with her.Also, mocking people with disabilities is a NO in my book. That does not show compassion, plus when we are insulted on the regular period as PAYING OWNERS that makes us not want to come back. Hence the reason those couples left after the first and second class.Because of all the above (and more, it would take me forever to type it all) I can not recommend this place.

I love the training we receive at this facility, Mrs.Sandy is a wonderful lady.If you follow the exercises and continue to work with your animal the way the instructor shows you, you will have no problems. Thank you Mrs.Sandy, we love your school, Stacy- Kenny &Jack.

I’m getting ready to get a new dog again since my beautiful dog passed away and I checked out this web site since their store is so close to me and i absolutely loved what I saw and read. They admit it’s a little smaller than most but that makes them their own tight community and by the pictures they posted it’s very obvious that they are and that they absolutely love dogs and what they do. They sold me and they are honest right off the bat. I do already and will highly recommend this website to anyone looking to get their dog trained!

This was a great experience for my pootle that I had just purchased. He is only 8 months old and is doing very well with the training. Sandra has been wonderful not only with Baxter but with teaching me how to deal with a puppy. Wonderful program!!!!!

I signed up for what I thought was a “puppy” training class as we recently added a goldendoodle to our family....this class was not just puppies. There were all ages of dogs. This particular class I was under the impression was small 4-5 animals, it was in fact a fairly large class....to include the trainers dogs constantly being involved and distracting.Trainer is extremely unprofessional, uses intimidation tactics with the animals and even their owners. She enjoys inflicting physical abuse on to the animals as well, yanking and pulling their skin/coat on base of necks to the point of yelping. She also loves spraying dogs with squirt bottles in the face for simple things such as repetitive dog whining..The abusive behaviors & fear tactics I do not at all agree with at all!!If you share a different view on things, ie: neuter/spay, boarding, vaccines & exercise/walking your dog...she is sure to try and make you look like a fool or insinuate that you just don’t care...I believe it’s quite the contrary. This lady is absolutely, positively 100% whacked.I would not recommend this trainer to anyone. If I could give less than 1 star I would.We went 2 of the 4 training sessions, I could not handle the abusive behavior any more...and after a very long conversation with our vet, she strongly encouraged us to no longer attend and find a different trainer.

Her methods are based on positive training & reinforcing positive behavior. NO choke or ecollars, or separation from your dog to train somewhere else. Sandra Harknet offers a variety of services to include, but not limited, to AKC puppy obedience training, Advanced obedience Training, Trick training, Rally and AKC Advanced Citizenship program. Agility and Accredited Service Dog training is also offered, among other programs. I LOVE working with her. Sandra is so knowledgeable on all breeds and has the ability to get through to any dog (and handler). She is all about communication, so you also understand why things are done in a certain way. I Highly and Strongly recommend her for anyone needing behavior corrections, obedience classes and Accreditation Service Dog training or obedience training among any type of training or dog problem solutions. She's a loving and caring trainer who knows her stuff!If you want to train your dog correctly, be it in a small class environment, or on a 1 on 1 basis you can't go wrong with Sandra Harknett (trust me I interviewed 6 trainers before finding her) STRONGLY and HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!
