From the entrance to the exit, the store was clean and stocked. The gentleman working at the deli provided world class customer service. He sliced my bologna to the thickness I requested. The produce was being stocked and rotated, the salesperson was very helpful. Meats and cold meat cooler was stocked. I had a great selection of icecream to choose from. At the checkout, the wait was less than 5 minutes, and the cashier was very friendly and made sure to ask me to come back and visit again. Thank you for have a great store to shop in.

While they have the best meat and produce of any chain store around Hillsborough, they’re customer service is seriously lacking. I have been in there at least twice a week for years, and this has only been an issue recently. There are a couple of the associates that are perfectly friendly and approachable. However, the last three cashiers I have had were just this side of rude. No greeting, no “did you find everything you need?” No hello, just nothing. I had that very same job for years when I was younger and part of the job then was to greet my customers. I don’t expect fake happy, or false smiles- but I definitely expect more from customer service associates/cashiers. I won’t even get started on the bagging practices- but if I buy bread I don’t want it in a bag with bananas or a jar of sauce. It just doesn’t make sense.Three stars given because of the interactions with associates & bagging. Train those employees, please!

JANICE DISRESPECTED ME!!! she crushed my tomatoes in the SAME BAG with frozen burgers, raspberries, ice cream AND a can of chilles.... i asked her to place it in another bag and SHE TOLD ME I COULD TO SELF CHECKOUT!!!.... she needs to be trained on bagging AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! she did NOT greet me with a hello OR smile.... i am NOT PLEASED!!! folks!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! your business is NOT APPRECIATED

Store is always very clean and well organized for the most part. I can almost always find what I am looking for in this store now that the pandemic is no longer an issue with stock for food, toilet tissue, and Lysol.

Customer service department is poor, you can call multiple times at the desk to ask a simple question and nobody picks up the phone. You have to ask yourself sometimes if the customer service is there just for decoration.... great store to shop, nice employees, decent sales, but poor for calling for a simple logical question.

A good grocery store. This place was well organized, well stocked and very clean. I found everything I needed. My interactions with the staff were all very positive. It's just a Food Lion, but it is a good one.

This is a nice newer Food Lion. Has a nice bakery/deli area that carries a good variety, unlike some of the food lions that are closer to where I live that are older stores that need updating.

I was only visiting area and dont have food lions in my area (yay Publix) but it had things I needed on the shelf at normal prices. It was clean, the check out people were friendly. A pleasant experience.

This place is getting only two stars because I feel like a lot of there normal groceries are overpriced. They also make their own name brand seem all special when in reality it is not as good as the real stuff. Their cashiers are another reason I am not a big fan of this place. They are very……. very weird. If you have ever gone here you will no what I am talking about so please give this review a like so others will know not to go to food lion with the weird cashiers

Rude deli employee. I was waiting patiently at the deli counter after looking through the pre-sliced meats, but they did not have what I was looking for. I was just standing there when the deli attendant told me to go shop for other stuff. I explained that I was only at the store for deli meat, and she rolled her eyes and told me I would just have to wait. Typically, that wouldn't be a problem, but the way she said it was vindictive. I left and will shop at another grocery.

I really like this store. I get all my fruit here. The staff is nice and the store is clean and neat. Nice selection of plants and flowers. Usually not too busy and good parking.Edit 6/15/22- I'm reducing from 5 stars to 2. Fruit quality has gone downhill. Store not kept clean. There was actually an apple with a bite taken out of it sitting on top of the loose apples for sale. They now have self checkout. With my schedule I often shop at night. Full cart, no lanes open except self check-out. No other customers when I walk up. Employee watches me struggle to scan my full cart of groceries with my bad back. Then a man walks up and she opens a register and checks him out while I'm still fighting with the self serve scanner and bagging my own groceries. No thank you or have a nice day. No offer to help with anything. Very disappointing.

Normally, I rate them a 4 or 5, but today I was very disappointed. A child was stuck in a cart and I was helping the woman in need so I asked no less than 3 employees to please assist. Only one came to help after a couple of minutes, the others ignored me and walked away. The cashier who checked me out was upset with me because I didn't stop loading my bags in the cart and pay him. When he figured out I wasn't going to pay until I loaded them, he then assisted in loading, I paid and there was no "thank you", nothing. I have always had good experiences there and I will come back for now, but there are other alternatives for groceries that would be happy for my business.

I would like to know if anyone else has a problem with getting cash back. Every time I try to get cash or even if I'm not getting cash back there is a manager I guess she is a manager that tells the clerk not to let me get cash back. I don't understand the situation and it is very petty how she/they are conducting herself. I feel harassed everytimeI'm paying. I would really like to figure out why if anyone can help please reach out to me.other than that experience it's a good place to shop. Never had a problem at any other locations. I have physical and mental problems I shouldn't be treated like this for something that they offer.also when I confronted the young lady.i was told I was in the wrong and she didn't care about making it right. I then told her I would shop somewhere else and she clapped in my face and said good. That is no way for an employee to act towards a customer. It is a short probably in her thirties black lady. Again I would really love to shop without being harassed.

This is our go to Food Lion now. It's not as large as the ones in Durham, but the cleanliness of the store & incredible customer service skills of their employees, makes it easy to not even notice. And they have everything the ones in Durham has. We've also used their delivery service twice & I can't say enough about how good the service & communication with my shopper each time, was.

I wish I could give a higher rating but the customer service at the store is the worst I've ever encountered. The last 2 curbside pickups I've placed had issues when I arrived. Neither of these issues were my fault, however the employees immediately place fault on the customer and when proven wrong, the refuse to resolve the issue, telling me to call Instacart. Well, I didn't go to the Instacart site and place my order, I went to the Food Lion site. If I shopped in store and found when I got home that my can of Campbells soup was dented, would they tell me to call Campbells? Degrading and disrespecting customers seems to be the Food Lion way. I will not support this ridiculous behavior. I know they could care less, but they've lost a customer.

I've been very disappointed in this location. The produce department is severely mismanaged. I can always find rotting and moldy fruit and vegetables. The management has never bothered to respond when I've reached out to them.

It was great until we walked up to a check out with the light ON. But as we were about to put our items on the belt Joann cut her light off and with a foul tone said she was closed. But we got Sondra as a cashier instead and were glad because she was in a great mood and was a treat! We come to Food Lion so we don't have to deal what the Walmart cashiers and their attitudes but looks like we couldn't escape it from your store today. Thank you saunder for being in such a great mood and the good advice with the slim Jim.

REALLY bad physical/social distancing. Only one employee in the whole store observed wearing masks. When manager was asked about this, she said "I can't force them to wear masks"!No encouragement of customers keeping physical/social distancing, either.Really terrible. Did not feel safe at all.This is in sharp contract to other Food Lions in the area (and other grocery stores in general) that ARE doing a good job on this. This seems to be the only location that doesn't give a damn.Will be driving out of my way to go elsewhere until this is addressed.

This is a store located at a busy intersection off HWY 70 just outside Durham. It is clean, quiet, and actually serene. The staff is attractive and personable. I had a banging sinus headache ahead of Hurricane Matthew, and the cashier opened the Sudafed for me.

This is such a nice store. The produce dept is the best. The store is always clean and they offer a wonderful varity of greeting cards and gift wrap if you need something short notice.

First try since moving to Mebane. Clean with a good smell, which is extremely important. Wide isles, decent prices, friendly staff. First impression is great!
