We used to like going to the Dollar Tree in Hillsborough, but not any more. The manager is very rude. We liked the black guy better. At least he isn't rude.If we want to go to Dollar Tree, we'll go to the store in Chapel Hill or Mebane. They might be smaller than the one in Hillsborough, but at least the people that work there are nice

Everything is no longer $1 it's $1.25 and it's not everything anymore, they also have some items up to $5. I liked Dollar Tree because it's the last store that only has products for $1. I understand raising prices to $1.25 but by selling other items at different prices it is confusing. If I wanted to have to figure out whether everything is $1.25 or more I might as well go to a competitor dollar store. The employees start announcing they are closing 30 minutes before and make several announcements on the loud speaker telling everyone to finish shopping immediately. At 6 plus minutes to go to closing time we were in the checkout and a employee (manager?) locked the door and stood there staring at us. The cashier was nice and personable, quite the stark contrast to the manager. He checked us out without issue. I went to change out an item that had a chip on it while my husband was being checked out preparing to pay and the manager just stood there in the middle of the store front watching me walk over, seeing where I was going and yet he just stood there in my way making me walk around him. I was trying to be quick since they obviously wanted us out. When a store is open to a certain time I don't believe they should lock the doors and keep customers out before that time. Closing time used to be 9pm, last time it was apparently changed to 8pm which I found out from the repeated unnecessary announcements. One announcement I get, but this was too much and it caused me anxiety. It was clear they didn't want us there and they were extremely worried about leaving on time. We left and packed our kids and purchases into the car and got in. I checked the time and it was 7:57pm and he had had to unlock the door to let us out and then locked it right behind us. Very bad customer service on his part. We felt very uncomfortable the entire time. People expect doors to be open until it is actually closing time not 5 minutes prior. I worked in retail many years and the actual closing time as listed on the door is when the door is locked and not before. Very odd being locked into this store with hostile seeming employees attempting to hover and intimidate you into leaving, not a good experience.

I love this dollar tree but the guy that works at night attitude sucks. His customer service really need some work. Every time I come to the store he’s there & he looks like he hate being there. I would say maybe today isn’t his day but he look like that 99% of the time.

Even though the prices have increased to $1.25, I can ALWAYS find something there either to try as a snack, to drink, or to craft with. I am not that thrilled with the $3 and $5 sections, but... It is what it is.

The manger who was working was not pleasant at all he was extremely rude to the customers he was talking down to a customer in the middle of the store. Our cashier Lorrie was absolutely AMAZING and we went over to tell him how incredible she is and he said “yea yup that’s why we hired her yup ok”. If he’s this mean to customers I can’t imagine how he is with his employees

I had not been in a dollar tree in probably 20 years. The amount of awesome stuff they have for a dollar is incredible! My favorite thing is the Golden Crust patties. They taste SO GOOD!Sadly almost everything is 1.25 now. But the deals are still amazing!

Awesome store! The staff is super friendly and everything is really organized. You can get everything from groceries to toys to party supplies and everything in between. And seriously, what is better than everything being a dollar? They also always carry seasonal items like cute decorations for Halloween and Christmas and are my go to place for balloons!

This store in particular is usually clean and tidy and the shelves are neat and organized. The staff is nice and kid friendly. A go to stop for quick art supplies, snacks, party needs, wrapping supplies and even some cleaning and kitchen needs. Never know what you'll find.

I was in there about a month ago. One of the cashiers won’t enforce the mask requirement and is hiding this from the manager so she won’t get in trouble. Someone came in while I was checking out with no mask on and asked if they had to wear it whileIn the store. Cashier said something to the effect of: “I don’t care what you do, just don’t let my manager see.” They have plexiglass up protecting the cashiers but they don’t care about their customers being exposed.

Kia is the best! She always helps me when I visit this location. She is very kind, welcoming and helpful. I honestly feel I can say this is the best Dollar Tree I have ever visited. The selection is good and guest service is always excellent. We just moved to Hillsborough and I will definitely frequent this Dollar Tree in the future.

For all the years, across multiple states that I shopped at the dollar tree, I had never seen such a neat, beautiful and well stocked up store. Every piece is put on shelves with so much love, care and precise symmetry that kept me wonder if that in fact is a dollar tree store and not the Neumann Marcus :) I also found many great items not found anywhere in Triangle and many cute stuff incl doll furniture, floral binders with floral folders, polka dot zip locks. Guy at registry (with the beard) was super friendly and neatly packed all my stuff with care and smart logistics. I spent $56 for our party and business needs and i don’t think I ever enjoyed shopping that much in any dollar store in the US.

I went into this dollar tree to exchange some items I had bought earlier today. I walk in the store and tell Tina I would like to exchange these items ( I hand her the bag with the receipt) I ask her where the bows are and she just points to the Christmas section and says they are somewhere in that area because it's only her second day working. I find the bows and come back to the register to exchange them. She can't find my bag or receipt and thinks another customer mistakenly took it. I tell her that receipt is important because I need to get reimbursed from my job for the items I bought on that receipt. She keeps looking for the bag and says "I don't know what to tell you, I left the bag right here" the manager comes over and she shows her how to do the exchange and Tina tells her that someone walked off with my receipt and items I wanted to exchange. She didn't seem to care. When I told her ( the manager) I needed that receipt for reimbursement she says maybe the original store I purchased my items could reprint. I then ask Tina what is the number to corporate she says " I don't know" I tell her I know it's only your second day but is there a way for you to get it she walks over to the manager and the manager didn't even know the number she says that information is not provided to them. I just feel really disappointed because they both gave this IDGAF attitude about her losing the receipt and neither one apologized for the mistake that happened. I hope your employees are given better training and at least try to fix the problem when one presents itself.

My trip to this Dollar Store is usually in conjunction with a visit to some other store. Needless to say the prices are the best. When you shop at a store which offers great price's. It's even sweeter when you can get some of those same items for a buck. That's what I call multi-playing.

Need to have helium in the store. There were 5 customers who wanted balloons like myself who couldn't get any because of being out.. Not first time this has happened.

Just left this store, I ask if it was under new management, because the store smell nasty . The cashier got angry with me, he asked is it good or bad. I said to him not in a good thing. Work it out Dollar Tree

Well organized store layout with a moderate selection of inexpensive and cheaply made goods each for $1. Many other Dollar Tree locations are bigger and have more groceries available.

It's usually pretty fully stocked - with boxes. They need more employees. The boxes don't get shelved because the employee is too busy at the register.

For a Dollar Tree, it's ok. The quality and selection seems to have lessened since they moved. Not very easy place to get to either.

Found quite a few nice stocking stuffers. Came home with some canned goods also. Particularly like Dollar trees selection of kitchen tools and implements.
