Editing later after having experience with another breeder after Dave. I mean no harm with this review but I wanted to be honest to others so they hear what happened with my personal experience .The hoglets all had very individual personalities, some more keen to being held than others but you can expect that with the babies. I had a bad experience with two babies one right after the other coming home and showing signs of sickness within a week. Sneezing, and unsteadiness, signs of infection or some sort. I was told not to take the babies to the vet rather to bring them back to Dave and get a new one. I decided after the second one to seek a different breeder and have a beautiful healthy baby now. Maybe a coincidence this happened for two sick babies in a row from him but in case it’s not, please be aware and take precautions with a vet visit asap once you bring your baby home.

From the first time I spoke to him on the phone I knew he legit cared about his animals/babies. He replied very quickly within less than a minute and was very good at updating me on when I would get my baby! Today I took my journey to buy from him and as soon as I saw him he treated me with the upmost hospitality and immediately put my baby in my arms and gave me some gifts that came with my purchase. My hedgehog is amazing and it's all thanks to dave. I sent him a picture of my baby when I got home and let him get settled in and Dave was more than happy about the photos of my baby. Guys, PLEASE buy from him, he is seriously the best at what he does!!!!!It has been 3 years and just yesterday I bought a new baby from Dave!!!! I couldn't write another review so I guess this is the next best thing. I would rate 6 stars if I could. My new baby is the sweetest thing and we are so happy that we could bring her home!!!! PLEASE buy from Dave. He is truly the best in his field. I hope you see this Dave!!!!

Just had one of the best experiences one could have when looking to get a hedgehog. Very clean cages, Dave is very friendly and knowledgeable, showed us all his babies, let us see the hedgehog parents. Let's us full inspect for health. Even sent us home with a starter kit. Looking for a hedgehog, look no further and talk to Dave. This is the baby we picked out. Couldn't be happier.

I just got this cute girl. Very docile a little shy and SUPER SOFT! I didn't know hedgehogs could be this soft I was surprised. I inspected her and she was absolutely perfect. I called and texted Dave he was very friendly and quick to respond. I got to look at his other hedgehogs and they are beautiful and super tame. They gave me a little bag to go along with my baby. Contained food, shampoo, a pin, snuggle sack and an instruction sheet. They know what they are doing. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a new friend/family member. ❤

My entire experience with Dave’s Domestic Hedgehogs was seamless. He was punctual with response time and willing to answer all my questions and give advice. The business was professional and he took the time to let me hold and get used to my baby before we took her home. He provided a snuggle sack and bin for her to travel home in and that was very impressive to me. He also went through a “hedgehog physical” with me to verify my baby’s health and gender. I couldn’t be more pleased and will definitely recommend this business and most likely purchase another in the future! Couldn’t say anything negative!

I had a great experience! Dave was polite and professional and even gave a tour of where the hedgehogs are bred and kept to show that it’s a kind environment. He was very helpful in answering questions and responds quickly to emails. The first hedgehog I purchased had some temperament issues, and after offering advice and help, Dave replaced it with a new baby for free. My new hedgehog is an absolute angel, and I couldn’t be happier with this great experience!

Mr. Dave and his wife are such lovely people! I can tell they truly have a passion for hedgehogs and want to make sure they are going to a good home before selling them. I bought a girl and a boy hedgehog earlier this week from Mr. Dave. My son immediately bonded with his hedgehog, my daughter was quite nervous. My daughter was given a hedgehog for Christmas. Dave was wonderful and let us come by prior to purchasing the hedgehog just to make sure it would be a good fit for our family. If your looking for a positive and stress free experience getting your baby, Dave is the way to go. The whole family was so nice and welcoming (which was very nice because I suffer from anxiety, I felt very safe). His whole set up was very clean and organized, making me very confident that my girl was coming from a good place. He made sure I had everything, answered all my questions, and was so kind. I’m telling you this is the best experience I could’ve had. (Not to mention he gave me the sweetest baby girl).HIGHLY recommend.I also had a sneak peak of the new litter coming up and trust me, you won’t be disappointed 👀.

I adopted my Finn from Dave’s Domestic Hedgehogs and it was an incredible experience! I got to visit the hedgehogs prior to adopting one and when I came to adopt Finn I was given all the information that I needed on how to care for them, as well as some food and a snuggle sack for the hedgehog. Dave and his wife are very kind people and were eager to answer all of the questions I had. It was a pleasure to get to meet them. The adoption process was very exciting and Dave even sent me the birth certificate for the hedgehog I adopted. All in all if I could give Dave’s Domestic Hedgehogs 10 stars I would! The hedgehogs are very well taken care of too and if I were to adopt another I would definitely go back to Dave’s Domestic Hedgehogs. Highly recommend!!!

Walking into Dave's home you instantly feel the warmth and loving care he gives all of his hedgehogs. I was very pleased with how he offered advice and tips on how to care for one. He responds fast to emails and I did not have any problems reaching by phone. Overall I felt safe and was not worried when buying a hedgehog from him. I definitely am recommending him to anyone else I know who is interested in buying one, and so should you.

Dave is one of the most educated hedgehog breeders I have ever met. As someone who is just starting out with their own hedgehog, he provided me with a plethora of knowledge about hedgehogs and informed me of their cage and food supplies necessary, and gave me options for their cages. He has hand trained hedgehogs, and it is clearly visible from the way that the hedgehog's behave when you hold them. I would highly recommend purchasing a hedgehog/adopting a hedgehog from this breeder :-)

He literally has them down to an art all the way to everything you will need for your baby! I will definitely send folks their way! If you ever considered getting a hedgie- THIS IS THE MAN TO SEE!!!
