Super good fig maple custard in a cone, get a small because the regular is too much. $4-$5 per. Had a hand washing station for after the custard melts on you. Small selection of red okra peppers and squash. Visited around 6 pm on a Friday. Cute small walkable farm area where you can see the dig trees, and old tractor, some goats, turkeys, and cows.

I’m depressed I didn’t know about this in the summer and missed out on all of the fruity ice cream flavors. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but so worth it. Affordable and authentic. Can’t get enough of their soft serve and the farm is just adorable.

This place is small and if you’re hoping to get a full meals worth of farm fresh produce this isn’t the place. It’s got a small selection of produce but what they did have looked delicious. However, the soft serve and sorbets are amazing! I also love that you can just pay on your own (cash, Venmo, PayPal). I wish more small businesses operated like that. It’s like they actually trust their customers and it speeds up the serving process. I tried the peach sorbet and it was one of the best sorbets I’ve had, just smooth enough for a summer afternoon but had the punch of the peach flavor to satisfy you. Excellent!

I love discovering old farms with a vegetable stand! Broken Spoke Farm is so cute and it had the best homemade ice cream ever!!It was so hot outside today, I had to lick the ice cream cone four times as fast as normal! But it was surely good! No wonder they had an outdoor sink!They even had a picnic table under big shade trees! So peaceful! Such an old fashioned place in the country!

Ohhh we love Broken spoke! What a great spot with such a “wholesome” feel to it. We’ve been going weekly to check out the new Icecream flavors:) No exaggeration, possibly the best icecream I have ever had! (Coconut and vanilla are my current favorites). Their Instagram page is a great resource for weekly flavors!

Beautiful place! Alberto, Lola and I visited on our way back home after we went on a walk by the Eno. We’ll make a point to go every week and try a new flavor of soft served ice cream. The one with cranberry this week was outstanding! NextTime I’ll bring some other ice cream flavors home, and add some organic grown fruit and veggies to our purchase to help with my sugar guilt 🤣 Thanks Brook for chatting with us. We were very impressed you knew about our country of origin and were interested in the current state of things. We missed taking photos, but will next time. Our hands were busy holding ice cream! Produce looked fresh, many choices of ice cream in the freezer. Busy while we went so it is a popular spot. Not a full 5 stars because of the amount of bees there were by trash cans and around the farm stand. I am all for bees, but they were all around the eating areas and produce. We got our ice cream and left.

My visit to Broken Spoke Farm was a surprise. I thought there would be a larger selection of homegrown vegetables. There was a very small amount of vegetables, only a few items. I was not impressed, even disappointed, but then I walked over to the window and got an ice cream 🍦. Delicious. So, I guess that was worth the drive from Durham. There’s a little bit of a spooky feel around there, hard to explain. Don’t go for any vegetables. You will be disappointed. Don’t try to call either. They don’t answer. If you want a nice drive to get an excellent ice cream cone, I recommend Broken Spoke Farm.

Delicious ice cream, and kids can look at the goats and other animals while they're eating their ice cream. Only concern is that the hot wire is on the outside of the post rather than the inside. My granddaughter almost fell into it, but her father was able to grab her.

Fresh produce and amazing soft serve ice cream. Love stopping by broken spoke on my way home from work. It's fun every weekend to check and see what the flavor is going to be as it's constantly changing. When it's not the weekend it's great that you can buy small containers of the different flavors that they've had in the past weeks. Love taking home little containers with my family members favorite flavors for a treat after dinner sometimes. Easy to purchase fresh local produce as well. Also nice that they accept Venmo and PayPal as well as cash.

They have beautiful bouquets and a cute little farm stands with eggs and veggies. You can pay cash or Venmo. Their soft serve is def not very fatty but still creamy. The pear flavor is very refreshing! Very nice small business. Be careful with the fence when walking deeper into the property - they are electric and there’s no clear signage. so restrain your dog.

These are lovely people serving excellent produce and ICE CREAM!!! They offer seasonal heirloom tomatoes, cukes, greens, berries, broccoli and so on. All produce is grown sustainably right there at the farm. Broken Spoke has a very comfortable outdoor area for enjoying your ice cream cone, too. I love this place.

I'd you haven't been here and you love great soft serve ice cream your missing out.Special last weekend was rootbeer and vanilla.. got them as a twist and it tasted like a root beer float on a cone.The farm stand has awesome local grown veggies paid on the honor system..

Such a cute farm and market even on a rainy day. Still lots of crafts, jellies, veggies and of course, ice cream! The salted chocolate was my favorite. We bought fresh greens, carrots, pig jam and an adorable ceramic bird for my mantle!

I love that this place is out in the beautiful countryside with a local farmer to support! The soft serve is delicious and there's always a fresh fruit flavor using their own produce (such as blueberries). The man who runs the stand is very friendly and there's plenty of nearby seating and shade. There's lots of other seasonal produce they sell as well. A nice variety between having ice cream and fresh goodness to choose from. Definitely recommend!
