This is my go-to store for local honey.There is no doubt that the honey is from nearby (unlike some grocery store honey). The purchase not only supports local farms and beekeepers, but also helps to support area pollinators who are as busy as bees!

Started beekeeping classes and Baileys Bee Supply was highly recommended for supplies...so i put fuel in the car and hit the road. Such a cool and helpful shop! The crew working were full of answers and advice, even put a wax foundation in my plastic frame to make sure it would fit!Anything I thought I needed they had in stock. Well worth the drive from Wilmington! Extra thanks to your staff for the humor & patience!

Incredible stock in such a small location- they've got everything. Prices really good, can try on gloves and bee wear to get the best fit. Samples of frames and foundations available. For a 1st ye beekeeper this was educational. Storekeeper was nice and answered my bee questions to issues. Great place.

This place is truly phenomenal- even if you're not into bees. I came in to buy one Christmas present and ended up walking out with an armload of their creamed honeys- I recommend the raspberry but they'll let you sample to your heart's content. It's all local (which makes me happy) and extremely delicious. The people working there are really nice and will answer any questions you've got. Definitely give this place a try- the honey is also a GREAT gift.

The store was bright and had everything I needed this spring for the bees. The customer service was great and the environment was upbeat.They seemed to have everything for hives and for honey extraction. The prices were fair, matching if not beating most catalog prices. It's nice to have a bee supply retailer in Hillsborough!

Great store with a helpful friendly staff. Picked up my first hive and the supplies from them last year, and after a year of stopping in regularly for guidance I harvested 70 lbs of honey this year. They also walked me through capturing a swarm so I am up to two hives. Can't recommend it enough for anyone looking to get into beekeeping.

Bailey Bee Supply is really a wonderful resource. They have everything you would need to get started in keeping bees, and then some. Knowledgeable and willing to share. Molly and here sister were a pleasure to speak to. Though I have had experience with bees this was my first time preparing to care for and rear them. With my lacking knowledge and no practical applications the staff walked me thru what I would need and why took the time and were patient. Helped me get my foot in the door and I feel off to a good start. I will be back for more supplies and guidance. I am also looking to see if they would have or know of a mentor program or if there is a keeper that will let someone help while learning.

Great store for all of your bee needs. The owner is a great guy. Extremely helpful and friendly. Answered all my questions and help me sort through what I needed. I first met him at an Introduction to Bee Keeping class he ran. if you are even thinking of getting bees for the first time, I highly recommend the class.

This is the local beekeeping place. Seriously. The bee package pick up days are a community event with old and first timers picking up hundreds of packages that are the cheapest you'll find and have minimal dead loss. Order online to reserve in January or earlier. The store is a bit overwhelming with how packed it is, but the staff are super knowledgeable and they've had everything I've needed. They've experimented with having queen bees in stock this year which I believe is for the first time?

I have been to Beech Mountain Bee Supply and Miller Bee Supply in Wilkesboro. This location has good product from from a customer appreciation point of view needs some work especially after I dropped over $300 there. I would drive the distance to Willkesboro knowing I have a great relationship with the people and they don't make me feel bad for asking elementary questions about bee keeping. I went during a weekday last week. Personality and good people skills go a long way. Anyway, I wish this location great success.

My experiences at Bailey Bee supply have been great, friendly staff, always willing to help with both the merchandise and bee keeping advice. I took the beginning bee keeping class in Raleigh. Each class represents a different topic and each topic is taught by a different instructor. The instructors were great, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable bee keepers. I recommend the class to anyone interested in bee keeping.
