I hardly know what to say . I finally made it in time for dinner , ordered taters , fried pickles and a chicken tender 🤯The rumors are true , best chicken in NC . Need to try their breakfast bc they are actually open early since I start at 6:30 . Everything was fresh and delicious ! The ppl working here were on top of it and it was pretty busy , they were still polite . You don't get that often in food service , especially younger folks . This place is THE BEST and will go down in history for the people that live here . THANK YA'LL ❤️

These wedges are hands down the best I've ever had. The chicken is what they're known for and it never disappoints. I love their ranch and the service is that good old fashioned Southern service you'd expect from a gas station selling chicken. Check out my TT for more Tarheelfoodie828

This is a cool little store. They have a deli inside, chicken is very good. Potato wedges very good. They do milkshakes and have a nice variety of ice cream too. It needs some repair work done on the inside but it’s a good store. Full gas station. I would recommend stopping by here for sure.

I read an article that was supposed to be the best chicken in North Carolina. It was the absolute worst on the day we were there ! The chicken was greasy and had burnt remnants from previous chicken all over it. To say it was disgusting is an understatement ! I'd rather someone stuck me up for $50, and I never take food back. I just don't go back.

Ate here for the first time after reading an article saying it serves the best fried chicken in NC. I wasn’t disappointed!! I had a 1 breast dinner, potato wedges, slaw, a roll and a coke for less than $10. The chicken was out of this world delicious. So were the potato wedges. The staff was super friendly! My only complaint would be the food was served in to go packaging with plastic utensils. The restaurant is inside a convenience store with plenty of booths for dining in. I will definitely come back for more!!

This place has went down hill horribly. I just got out of the hospital about 45 mins ago from food poisoning from there food. Way over priced, and the food is nothing like it used to be. It used to be really good but not anymore. Got really sick

We ordered there today and since new owners, the food has went down. We have been eating from there for over 15 years. The burger had no taste, my dogs wouldn't even eat it. The used to be awesome tater wedges were bland and soggy with oil. I will not order from there again. I just live 3 miles from them..The new owners needs to sell out before they have no customers. On top of it all, We got charged extra for using debit card. They didn't use to do that. Money greedy.$31.00 for large tater wedges and 4 hamburgers.

I grew up coming to this store for the food and it used to be great. Since the new ownership, this place has gone way downhill. I ate a burger and potato wedges today. The burger is not freshly cooked nor does it taste well. The potato wedges are just ok. This is not the first time it’s been like this but I kept coming back hoping it would get better. Everything is overpriced and no one cares. I can’t see myself coming back here again which is sad because it was a part of my childhood.

Locally owned and WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! Ordered 8 chicken tenders and two sides $17.00. Would not sound so bad but the sides were only 4oz containers. I was getting a meal to share. Only locals shop here if it were not for the locals they would have no business. Completely rude to charge so much. Will not be back. Support your local/mom and pop stores they say.....

I was turned on to this place by a coworker. Was told the potato wedges and chicken were some of the best around. All I can say is that it was not far from the truth. Those other chicken chains do not hold a candle in the wind. Take the time to check this place out.

They don’t allow service animals unless you “show them your papers” and if you don’t they’ll refuse to sell you anything. Before that they charged my card an extra $20 and denied everything. 2 weeks later $20 was funded to my card out of the blue. Highly DO NOT recommend.

Has been in the Hildebran area for year. Thanks have recently had a a change of ownership. In my opinion (and this is just my opinion) the food in the kitchen was better before the chance of ownership. They use to have a great friend chicken plate. Now something has changed. Not sure if they have changed venders that they ordered from or what. Again just my opinion but the food isn't quite as good as it used to be

After a long work day and a family members death, I decided to walk to this store with a friend. it's not far from my house so I thought nothing of it. Bought drinks and snacks. there wasn't much of a selection in this store but given the whole covid situation I thought nothing of that either. we decided to sit outside for a few to let the rain ease up before walking back home. This elderly couple pulled in and the gentleman asked if face masks were required since I was wearing one. I explained I have a low immune system and that they were not required. This blonde haired lady I'm assuming which is the owner of the store came outside to say there was no one to work the grills inside because apparently no one wanted to work anymore. my friend who was with me jokingly turned around and said "I like to work" to which she got the biggest attitude and snarked back "if you liked to work you wouldn't be standing here."That is no way to treat customers. Especially since you have no idea the hardships we have and are going through. Since when is it a crime to walk instead of using a car? am I not allowed to take a walk to clear my head after just losing a family member???? Why do you think this is an ok way to treat someone?

Do not come here for gas unless ready to go inside and pay and wait on the super slow people there. If someone is ahead of you getting food, you could leave and go pump gas somewhere else and come back and they will still be waiting on that same person. THE FOOD HERE IS GREAT! SO MAKE SURE IF YOU WANT TO STOP IN AND EAT, DO IT. just don't think u will be pulling in here and pumping gas really quick and leaving. You will find out.

I'm greatly impressed with the customer care I received at the Hildebran office. Very patient, and understanding. Kept me relaxed with quaint conversation. I enjoyed the experience, it helped me, and I was glad that they were there because most are not available(closed already). Good to see that somebody is thinking of us people who are consistently late.😁😃

I was denied to buy a lottery ticket because I’m 18. I notified the man the age requirements for being 18 and up was on the back of the scratch off but after he said “oh..” he said he could deny selling me anything he wanted to… really rude and disrespectful
