Avoid Southside Hardware!! I moved to the area 18 months ago when we bought our farm and Southside was my go to for many things. Today that changed. I bought a Milwaukee grinder off the shelf a couple weeks ago. I put it together a couple days ago for some work this weekend, following the instructions provided. When I tested it, completely came apart and ruined at least one part. Thinking Southside would exchange it based on my past experience with local businesses I took it in this morning. I overheard the lady manager (Alisa) saying I must have put it together wrong. I followed the directions and it's not my first grinder. In the end it was call Milwaukee and have a nice day. I was shocked to hear that from a local business I frequent several times a month. From now on, it's Williams or a big box for me.

I'm glad there are still places like this still around! They seem to be under new management that modernized things a bit. Good for some others not. I feel they're going to lose a lot of business for the new lack of personal relationship between small business and their customers.

Moved to the Triad area about a year ago and was looking for specific fitting, they had it. Every time I need something I go to Southside first. Love the folks that work there, friendly. Oh, great prices on ammo too.

Great spot. Reminds me of the old school general stores. Prices are usually less than big box stores. Where they shine is having items you cant find or have to order elsewhere.

I just love doing business with this local hardware store. They always have what I need. Even if I don't know what I need, their knowledgeable staff fixes me up every time. They always make sure I have everything I need and know how to use what I bought. You can't get this kind of service at the big box stores. Shop local and keep these fine people in business forever!

Excellent place to find the things you will not find in lowes and home depot. A true engineers resource. Prices are fair, staff is friendly and helpful, rare items (nuts, bolts, washers, electrical components and tools, construction items, household repair, and so.much more. I hope this store is always around especially since the fall of radio shack.

For years I have done business with Southside Hardware, and always saved a lot of time. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. Strongly recommend driving past Wally World and cut 30 minutes off your time. With me, time is money, to save thirty cents and take 30 minutes to save it, is absurd. Never have mobile home filters no one will help u at all bad store.i have been to this store 4 or 5 times in 2 months.I NEED 12×20×1FILTERS THEY WAS SUPPOSED TO HAD THEM COME IN PAST FRIDAY ON THE 9TH I HAD TO WAIT AND WAIT .FOR THEM TELL. My family and I have been doing business with these guys since I can remember. We've gotten everything from the big stuff, chainsaws, leaf blowers, grills, ice cream makers, to the small stuff, plumbing supplies, screws, nuts, bolts, fertilizers, animal control, all kinds of paints, and we have never been let down.I am a big believer in supporting local business and these guys are worth supporting! Fixing to go up there now and get an oil cap for a chainsaw that I bought from them and my idiot self tightened it to the point of breaking the cap.Short: Good people, good popcorn!

I’ve been in 3 times since it was sold, not once did I even see a staff person on the floor. If fact a guy was wanting a new chain saw, but got tired of waiting and said I will just get it somewhere else. It’s back to driving to Lowes. Enjoy your retirement Jeff, you deserve it. The community lost a gem when you sold it.Before it was sold:5 StarsI've lived in Archdale all my life, part of what makes our community special is places like Southside Hardware. Local folks that know your name and really want to help you. If they don't have what your looking for your probably don't need it. Free popcorn to boot!
