The staff here is very good at working with animals especially when they are nervous and never been to the vet. They know how to relax the animals so that they can be treated for anything they may need!!!! I'm so glad I found them because they were very nice to my Roxy & me..I like to also say my dog Roxanne now feels 10 better than she has in while.

Northwood has been or vet for 7* years. Yesterday I had to bring my GSD to see Dr. Clodfelter. She was kind and patient with both me and Apollo. Special shout out to Hannah, vet assistant, who has been with Apollo since we brought him home; she has provided so much guidance and support about helping with the personality of a GSD. Great Team, from front desk to back office!

I took my nine week old, female, Maltese Here on Tuesday, January 2 because she was lethargic And could barely stand. I didn’t have an appointment as this was just an emergency visit. I walked into the clinic and left my puppy in the car to see if someone was available to check out my baby. I was told that I could wait in my car and fill out the paperwork and someone would be with me, as soon as possible because I was going to have to be worked in. I didn’t have a problem at all with that. I was very grateful. That someone was going to see my baby. after a little while not long at all so when came to my car, quoted me the price for the visit $148 just to be seen and then whatever it cost for treatment I agreed because I was very scared for my little girl come to the car immediately and took Madison‘s temperature and swabbed her for different things, such as Parvo After a few minutes, the doctor come to my car and informed me that they ran Pavo test and the first test came back slightly positive so they retested and again the same thing so automatically my little girl has Pavo. I stated to the doctor(Smith) That the breeder was thinking the problem was her low blood sugar at that time she tested her sugar and it was within range (97) The doctor gave Madison an antibiotic And sent me home with pain medication and something for nausea as well as showed me how to do an IV for her to get plenty of fluids. As well as a prescription puppy food for me to syringe feed. And they asked me to bring her back the next day for A recheck I brought her back the next day she had improved slightly, but was still acting pretty sick. I was keeping in touch with the breeder, and they urged me to bring her back there so that they could Have their doctor check Madison, and to help me with fluids and feeding as they were still convinced that it was hyperglycemia. I agree, because it was very hard for me to stick needles into my baby and to watch her suffering. Once they got her back at Happytail Puppies , the doctor checked Madison and ran a Parvo test And the test came back negative. Madison is still at the hospital getting treated for hypoglycemia. This Vet is all out to make a dollar they overcharged me and Could have killed my baby if it was not for Dr. Cotton at Happytail Puppies. Northwoods veterinary Hospital charged me $457 plus an additional $60 the next day for a recheck just to give me incorrect information

They shouldn’t use the word hospital in their title it’s misleading, brought my dog here after he suddenly collapsed and was having difficulty breathing because it showed up as the closest place to my house on a google search, came in carrying my dog since he couldn’t walk at this point and they told me they don’t do any emergency services that I’d have to go to a actual animal hospital in Greensboro that was 20 minutes away. My dog died before we ever made it there.

Took my puppy Sassy here. This place is over the top. They were very attentive and professional. The doctor explained everything that she was doing. And when finished she also explained everything The whole staff is friendly and very attentive. They even do a follow up call. I would highly recommend this place.

I can't remember if I've written a review for NAH before, but either way, I had to come back and write review. This place has far exceeded my expectations as a Vet Hospital. I can't stress enough how incredibly please I have been with them since we made the switch a few years ago. The level of organization that this business has is top tier. I have 10 animals, and they keep all of them straight. They message me to follow up on appointments for *every* pet. They have great communication skills. I receive calls, emails, and texts regarding my animals. They truly want to give the best care, and they do. Dr. Smith is our main vet and we love her so so much. She has been crucial in caring for my senior lab, my two newfoundlands, my feisty chihuahua, and our 6 indoor cats. Thank you all so very much for all that you do for us every single day.

Snoopy had a sudden coughing spell and was very just not letting up. Northwood worked him in and after some X-rays and a thorough examination by Dr. Slivka we were given a positive course of action. Our baby is on the mend. Snoopy has been going here for 14 years and they are family.

Have been taking care of feral cats for years and Northwood has all way's taking such good care of the pets.The staff are so professional but yet so caring to make sure the pets are comfortable and at ease . Don and Dr Linderer where really so kind and caring .The checkout staff was also great .

First time my senior yorkie gets her rabies booster shot in this office. Honestly was very worried bc she has a bad reaction to it, but not this time. She is alert, ate and currently playing. Im so happy! Ty!

We recently switched our dog’s vet care to Northwood Animal Hospital and are so glad we did! The staff is so incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. Dr. Smith was wonderful and was fully invested in making sure our dog was in the best care. She gave us her full attention and addressed any issues we had, as well as ask all of the right questions and give suggestions. Our dog usually doesn’t like going to the vet and gets very nervous, but since everyone was so nice, she felt so comfortable! I wish we had made the switch sooner to Northwood, the service and level of care is unmatched! We highly recommend them!

Stella and her family appreciate all the staff at NAH. She just got back home from a week stay while her parents were out of town and she had the best time with her friends! We can always count on our vet and techs to provide great care for our girl! Stella attends doggie day camp weekly and loves it!

My wife and i had to take our 11 week old shih tzu here for an upper respiratory infection and needless to say the staff was very friendly and helpful with getting him registered and seen by the doctor 🏥💊They really take pride in helping assist you and you pet 🐶🐈

I am absolutely appalled after my visit there today. My appointment had been rescheduled due to an emergency on their part and I was empathetic towards that. Last year we saw Dr. Haley upon referral from her husband and it was an amazing experience and well worth their higher than typical price for services. This time, not so much. I had to endure a sales pitch from the vet tech, along with scare tactics. No big deal, she was sweet and just doing her job. I told her I already went over the information with the front desk and i knew what i wanted. They also never told me DR. Haley was no longer there. I asked though and was told who we were set up with. Then the emergency happened and I was told some vet and that she is wonderful. Well we got Dr. Linderer. If you enjoy being spoked to as though you're 3, then she is top notch. It was very busy when I i arrived and I had an extended wait for my two dogs. They took the first one in the back and did the vaccinations and tests and finally the vet came in. She told me my dog needed to lose weight. I was concerned about a growth in her eye and potential removal and she was fixated on talking to me like I was 3 and told me to cut down the treats and "toppings". Personally i would ask first if the pet owner was interested in weight management advice as opposed to assuming the owner is giving too many treats and "toppings". I told her that I do not even know what she is talking about. I told her it is likely too much food as my dogs had gotten too thin, so i started giving them more. Then she went on a lecture about thast. She kept on going with the condescending commentary. I didn't ask for advice. I know how to cut down my dogs food intake. It's as simple as feed less food, duh! I did not need valuable time taken up with unsolicited advice.Then, since they brought my first dog back to me with uncut nails, I suggested trimming the in the room so I was there. The vet told me I would have to wait until staff could be available. Excuse me! I already waited on the staff and the vet for long enough. Next dog , again comes back without his nails trimmed. Last year, they cut both their nails, no issues! It was coming up on one hour and I told the tech I had to be out of there in 5 minutes. The vet hadn't even examined my second dog. I was getting s nervous stomach bc. I had a work appointment to get to. I needed to make sure that I didn't get physcally ill from the stress. I went to the receptionist desk and asked to speak to the office manager and I was told thsa can't happen b/c she can't leave the desk to find them. It's 2023, we have text, email. Anyhow, I had enough. I took my dogs and left with an incomplete exam. The epitome of poor service. Get it together, we will be finding a new veterinarian.

The doctors, tech and staff are top notch. The facility is great. Their prices are shockingly high and increase significantly year-over-year. My senior dog will most likely continue there, but if/when I get another young dog I will look for another reputable option with less soul-crushing prices. I want my pet to receive the best care, but there are limits to what is financially reasonable.

Recently me and my girlfriend came across a stray dog. He was incredibly nice, and we wanted to make sure he was taken care of. We took him to Northwood Animal Hospital after hearing great things. When we took him in initially to get a check up everyone was very courteous and friendly, from the front end staff to the veterinarians. Northwood was able to get George's dental work done, and we have since put together a schedule for anymore treatment that needs to be done in the future. I can say that both me and George feel secure with Northwood Animal Hospital.

*This place.* So, let me preface this review with the mention that I love my dog and cat more than anything in the world and would any place be worthy of less than five stars I would immediately try elsewhere. But this place is puppy and kitty paradise.My dog has been loving her time at Northwood since the day I took her home from the shelter, and my curmudgeonly cat is also a patient at Northwood and generally tolerates it. I've since moved away from High Point, but I drive over from Winston because this place is so incredibly well managed.Dr. Slivka is amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable about what she does and her kind and calm demeanor puts even the jumpiest of animals at ease. She's also able to explain dog and cat health and behavior to human clients in a clear and accessible way. I once as a new dog mom brought my dog in because she *might* have gotten into don't-eat-this-packet packet, and she saw my dog immediately AND had the grace to not treat me like the crazy hypochondriac mum that I almost certainly was.But in truth, the whole crew seems to know exactly what they're doing. The vet techs are great, the folks at the front are organized and efficient. Sam, who works at the front, is one of my dog's top humans (and she doesn't generally like men!) She is a somewhat anxious rescue, but as soon as she walks through the door she jumps right up and asks Sam for a treat. Since my dog is still growing and on the cusp of meds for small and medium sized dogs, he takes the time to weigh her every time I come in just to make sure the dosage is perfect. He runs that place like a machine, checking folks in, distributing meds, and charming all the animals!Take one look at the adorable dog park in the back and you will see how much these people care for and understand animals.

They demonstrate real caring to our Phoebie Grace.The facility is immaculate. Northwood Animal Hospital will be our go to place from now on for our Phoebie Grace.

Such a great experience today! It was my first time as a doggy dad and the entire experience was seamless. I got there on time and as soon as I came in, Jessica, the CSR knew who I was and my fur baby. Her and Arlene were super sweet and answered all of my questions. The entire staff was so loving to my little nugget and wanted to take pictures and asked if it was okay. Hannah took me and my baby in the back and she educated me fully and was so down to earth and supportive of our first time. Dr. Silvia came in and shared everything I needed to know and evaluated my Novah and answered any questions I had. I’m happy I chose this place and I pray the relationship with me, my dog and Northwood. Thank you everyone!

I haven't met her yet but my husband and my fur baby can't say enough good things about Dr Smith. I hear she is and goes beyond her just being a great doctor. I hear she is super nice and really really cares. The staff has been so helpful and nice. And it all comes down to the management. ( When you have great management, you have happy great employees). Kennel service: My dogs always come home dirty with poop all over them. We set out exactly the amount of food needed for the time in boarding and always come home with a lot more, meaning they are being underfed. We have boarded them several times. Two stars only because the staff is very friendly.
