Sugar my mini dachshund had been there before no issues. This time she was the first appointment and first to arrive. The manager said there were four booked for the same groomer at the same time. I called after she had been there three hours and they said another hour. When I picked her up she had been bathed the hair cut consisted of her legs and belly trimmed. They did not trim her nails. I paid 66 dollars tip included for a bath. Never again.

We are new to town and luckily found the perfect groomer on the first try. My 5 year old Maltese got the best haircut he has ever gotten from Autumn. We were beyond happy with the service and she made sure to take care of all the requests we had. We will definitely be back!

I love bring my dog to Tammy to have her cut. She's an awesome employee, and she does a wonderful job on Riley. I've been bringing Riley for a few years now, and I wouldn't let anyone else cut Riley, she goes way above and beyond what I ask her to do when I get Riley cut. Petco is very blessed to have Tammy working there. Very customer driven, and knows her job well.

My dog Jazzi looked wonderful after her grooming session. She seemed kinda scared, but it was her first time with new people. With being away from the family. But she didn't seem to be upset with the ones that took care of her. So thats a plus. Her nails are definitely better too!! Great job all in all!

We have brought our dog to Petco several times for grooming and had no problem. However, this time they didn't even touch her other than clipping her nails and charging us $25. The groomer said that she wouldn't stand up so she could be bathed. Why couldn't she simply stand the dog up???? Our dog is very friendly, and probably just wanted her belly rubbed. We took hours out of our day to bring our dog, leave her, and then come to pick her up only to find out she wasn't even bathed?? We won't be back.

If you have a double coated dog, do not come here. This was my first grooming experience with Petco in Hickory because of timing convenience and my last. Two groomers refused to trim my Great Pyrenees claiming his matts on his hind legs and tail were too severe. They said it could cause hematomas, pain for my dog if messed with and recommended a vet. My pyr regularly gets matts especially on his hind legs- nothing that can’t be untangled although can be time consuming. I work at a Great Pyrenees Rescue and have seen severe matting and can tell when a vet is needed as I often assist. I have NEVER seen a hematoma solely from matting even on our worst coated pyrs that come in. This is sheer laziness at its finest or benefit of the doubt, absolutely no idea how to groom double coats. Below I attached a pic of the supposed “unmanageable” matted part of his back thigh, also the worst part of his coat. The second pic is after pulling them apart with my fingers for not even a minute, that of which my dog slept through. Wish I could rate 0 stars.

This was our first time ever using a groomer. Our Stella loved it. Heather was so nice and was very complementary of our lady Stella. Great first experience. We will continue with these services at Petco in the future.🐕🐶🐾

Our veterinarian is an elderly man who only handwrites his vaccine cards, he doesn’t have a cellphone; let alone a printer. We’ve been using Petco for a long time and they have never had a problem accepting the proof of vaccination this way. Today we took our dog in for a grooming appointment (after scheduling it a month in advance) and they told us they can no longer accept handwritten paperwork and it must be printed. This is ridiculous and they should have informed us when they booked the appointment that their rules were changing.
