Great customer service! The shelves are always clean and stocked. If you ever can't find something there is always someone close by to ask for help and they are ALWAYS ready and able to help you. Best Food Lion I've ever been to. Glad that it's my neighborhood grocery store 😁

This food lion has great prices. Produce is restocked and checked for quality often. Meat prices are great and they carry grass feed meat at a reasonable price.

Very friendly and helpful employees here. Only issue I had is there was lots of people stocking shelves and aisles at 9am when a bunch of other people were shopping . So was tough to navigate through the other shoppers and their carts along with employees and their crates

Visited this Food Lion in Hertford to pick up a few things and the young lady working the express check out was not only very very nice but also helped at loading my groceries in to my cart. I believe her name was Julia Johnson.The lines were long and she had a lot of people before us but the whole time she had a big smile on her face and treated each customer as if they were a family member.Please hire more workers like her. This is what makes people want to come shop there.

very limited options and produce never lasts longer than 2 days after purchase. Very frustrating considering that most people try to get a week's worth of groceries at a time, but don't do that here if you're buying produce.

Fairly low prices for those s area. The MVP rewards program adds much for additional savings. The app lets you add coupons to your account and access to MVP only offers. I shop usually 3 times per month and on each trip I save between $40-$60.

Food Lion is a great place to shop! It’s the only place we can find shelled sunflower seeds! There is hardly ever a line and with a Food Lion Card we save about $20 or more every time we grocery shop. It’s really helped us with savings!

The store is always nice and clean. It is fully stocked and has items that the Food Lion in Edenton does not have. I go to Hertford because they have a variety. The staff is friendly and very helpful, willing to go the extra mile, even checking in the back if needed. The food s fresh. I can always find what I need.

I needed a birthday cake decorated on Friday, 1/6/23. The ladies: Kay and Quasha were working and they were so friendly and accommodating. Starting with the trashy parking lot and dirty front of the building, one must search hard for something good to say. The rotisserie chicken is a disgusting fatty yellow in lieu of a golden brown. Lots of varieties of ham and pork, red colored beef without quality labels (select, choice, etc.). When I asked why we couldn't have a bit higher quality and assortment of product an employee told me the class of customer coming to this store would not support a better store.Had the same conversation with managers today. Same reaction. Then I go to the section of one of the managers and they totally ignore the person waiting on me who, from her facial expressions, really hated her job, or me. Wow, how can standards get lower?

This Food loin in Elizabeth City is not set up like most of them are. Split aisles make it so hard to find anything. I understand they took this store over from Farm Fresh, however elderly people are use to the same things. A short visit there turns into a 30 minute visit, because you can't find what you are looking for. So I gave a three for the visit, but I have to give the cashier a 5, this was his 3rd day and he was fast, and I told him he was doing a great job, he just needed to talk to his customers more and be more verbal.I hope someone reads this, it is not meant to be criticism, but is to be a learning experience.

Nice store, but why on earth does the floor polisher have to be run through the store during store hours? It's a very large machine and sounds like an old riding lawnmower. I can't hear myself think with all the noise. Then there are employees and vendors blocking aisles, adding frustration. Grocery store stockers used to replenish shelves during the night when customers wouldn't be inconvenienced. Those were the days. :)As with another Food Lion, I guess employees either haven't been trained to rotate stock, or they just don't care. I bet the corporate office would care!The cashiers are friendly and efficient.With all the noise and irritation, leaving is the BEST part of a shopping experience.EDITED 1-8-19: Thankfully the store now has a quieter floor machine. Unfortunately, the store is consistantly out of a number of items on our list, forcing us to go elsewhere AGAIN just to finish our shopping. Our list was almost as long AFTER shopping there as it was BEFORE.

I love the fact that register's are open at busiest time and that it is clean. Prices however are higher on items that you can buy like at Walmart. Certainly you will pay more for the convenience. Overall people are very friendly and happy to help.

Food Lion has really improved in the past few years. They run sales almost daily and the deli is great. The employees are nice. Hope and Tabitha are super nice and extremely helpful.

Like so many other places during the pandemic, they are always out of items & shelves are empty. But overall, have never seen the store dirty nor in disarray, & employees are friendly for the most part.

One of the few places out here to get your groceries from. This store is comparable to other chain grocery stores you may be familiar with. They have all the basics like produce, meat, milk, and bread. If you ever find yourself needing groceries in Hertford, North Carolina then I would suggest you make your way here.

Never has the items on sale they have in their flyers.Also they put the on sale items in a different place than where the sign is so you will buy the full price item. Wished that another grocery chain would come to our area so we could get better service.

Nice people work here, the store is clean and usually very well stocked even on sale items. Their quality of fruits , vegetables and meat is also very good, better than Walmart.
