An amazing selection and prices! We visited from out of town and just so happened to walk by, I was able to find an embroidered sweatshirt for less than $30, as well as several stickers and magnets. They also had a great selection for hiking gear, outdoor gear, and anything you may need when visiting the local parks and attractions. I also must add how friendly the staff were, it’s very nice to find such genuine people during traveling.

They are so helpful and have a good variety of items, from gloves to socks and hats, t-shirts and camping items and kids stuff, and more i forgot.... Go in. Wander. Look around. Dog friendly, too!

They were about to close the store for the day but I really needed a pair of sandals for my spouse. The kindly let me in the store and helped me find the correct size and were so friendly! Highly recommend!

I believe my husband is in love with this place. Every time we are in Hendersonville, we HAVE to come here. It's our thing. They are wonderful, let our giant dog roam around, and are so friendly and helpful!

We came in while walking around town for the first time. The owner and all of the employees were so sweet and so helpful. Even her dog Tug was a sweat HEART. Definitely recommend going in and checking out all the best things they have !

I have been using Sherman's for stringing my tennis rackets for over 20 years. During that time, I have come to truly enjoy the staff and the service they provide. Both Becky and Rex are marvelous people that go out of their way to help their customers. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely awesome!! The selection is wonderful - very diverse, with lovely clothes and play stuff and sports stuff. Gifts for everybody else and for your self. Fabulous service. Just a super experience in every way.

This is a nice sport and army store. It has a good collection of hiking/sport clothing and equipment. There is a selection of army surplus items, but it isn't an army surplus store and I feel it could have some more.Very friendly employees and good prices.

Maybe not a "real" army/navy store but then an actual military surplus store is very rare these past few decades. What the store is is a great mom and pop outdoors/sporting goods store with selection of military style items as well. Great little store run by great people.

Half of this small store is dedicated to military items, and half to sporting goods, with a little selection of local Hendersonville, NC items for the tourists (or those who want to sport hometown pride). We actually went to the store for some cosplay items for my son and experienced wonderful service and patience from the employee who was helping us. They are also willing to order items (including military) that they do not have in stock.The appeal of the mom & pop shop has been largely forgotten to today's population including me. We will be returning to Sherman's next time we need anything they regularly supply.

Maybe it means something different here, but I've always known "army/navy surplus" to mean surplus military supplies, which I like for cheap, durable camping gear and nostalgia. This was more of a sports memorabilia shop. The name was quite misleading.
