Since I live in a more heavily populated city in Florida This was my first experience with a feed store and the first time I've used this style of shopping. However it does make The shopping experience much easier. I basically walked in and told the man behind the counter what I needed and he punched it up on the cash register and printed a receipt. Since the items were for a local resident, instead of paying for the items at that point in time they were billed to her account. That made that part of the transaction very easy. Then I brought the receipt to the young man in the front of the warehouse and a couple minutes later he brought everything out to the truck and loaded it in the back of the pickup truck for me. And when I got back to the location I was staying at the children there came out and unloaded the pickup truck. So my experience with picking up hundreds of pounds of feed for the animals was extremely easy and effortless. However I can't say the same thing was true for the children...

Brenda is so helpful in stocking many flavors of dog and cat food so my critters don't get bored with their diet. She usually has samples so we can try a new flavor without having to buy a whole bag of dog food. Very knowledgeable about the feeds and products they carry.

This is s great place to get supplies for your animals. Very well organized. If they don't have a certain brand you may be looking for just ask them about it; they'll more than likely order it for you. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Located very conveniently a few blocks from Main Street.

I love Nelon's! The owner, Dean Nelon, is very friendly and know a lot about goats. If he doesn't carry an item, he is happy to order it. His stepson and the other people who work there are also friendly and helpful. They stock very good products for my goats, equines, cats and dogs and rabbits. I stopped at Nelon's Feed looking for feed seed for animals like racoon's, squirrel's, chipmunk's, and deer. I wasn't disappointed they had a wide range of sunflower seeds, corn, peanuts (shelled and unshelled), rabbit pellets, Plus they carried the range of household pet dry food, and numerous types of bird feed.The prices were fair and staff friendly and professional. They even bought out the sacks of seed and will load it for you.Would recommend the feed store to any farmer, rancher and others who just want to feed the locate wildlife.

If you're shopping at Tractor Supply, do yourself a favor and switch to Nelon's Feed. They have better prices and selection on feed, with a few exceptions. Plus the customer services is world better than TSC.
