I trust the staff wholeheartedly with my furbaby. I have had some difficult rescues, but they have been able to work with them successfully. Never once has any of my dogs resisted going into the facility or with any one of the staff and management.

There are no words to really describe how much I value Horse Shoe Kennels and their amazing staff. I found this place about two years ago when I needed to find boarding for my GSD who was still intact (as you can imagine, this was tough). After one stay I knew this was the place! My dogs always come back happy and healthy. The staff is extremely friendly and care about the animals under their care.A week ago the worst happened. We were on the border of a 434 acre fire that took 2 of our neighbors homes and threatened 74 others. I decided to evacuate the dogs so they wouldn’t have to endure the smoke, and of course so I wouldn’t have to worry about losing them in the event I couldn’t get home in time from work to evacuate them if things got worse. I had the surprise of finding that someone had taken care of our boarding for our dogs (client or employee, I’m unsure). Horse Shoe Kennels helped accommodate this and I still am blown away by this strangers act of kindness. This was the greatest gift to know our dogs were safe when we couldn’t be home, especially knowing our friends lost all their pets in a fire earlier this year. Thank you Horse Shoe Kennels!

Love this place, and so does my dog. Highly recommended if you’re in the Hendersonville, Etowah, or Mills River areas. They do grooming as well.

We love horse shoe kennels! Maylin, Marlee & Chief have been here a few times and always look great and happy after their stay. This is the first time our new baby Oliver has gone and I feel 100 percent confident that he is going to be loved and cared for while we are gone. I am so thankful to have found this awesome boarding facility for my kiddos.

Our 9y/o cat stayed for 15 days while we were vacationing and came home a relaxed and happy boy. Horseshoe Farms is quiet, friendly and so clean. He was obviously well-cared for and well-fed. Definitely will return and 10/10 recommend.

I boarded my two 9 year old cats here while visiting the area during a cross country move. I was nervous about boarding my cats in an unfamiliar town but I quickly felt at ease once I dropped them off. When I picked them up, I was able to go down to the cattery to get the ladies from their kennel. They were resting and seemed very relaxed. The cattery was quiet and clean. One of my ladies even fell asleep in her carrier when we got them to the car. They've never been this calm and relaxed after a stay at a boarding facility. I'm so happy I found Horse Shoe Kennels and so grateful for the care Kiki and Tiger received.

We moved to the area three years ago knowing nothing about local services. After looking at potential boarding facilities my wife and I decided to tour Horse Shoe Kennels. The owner gave us a personal tour. The facility was bright, roomy and clean. We have used Horse Shoe many times since. We are so happy that we are able to board our dog there. We have total confidence in the owner and staff since this is a well established family run business. They greet our dog by name. He has very little hesitation as he walks in for a “vacation”. We know that our dog is well cared for while he is in their care.

My parents have taken their pups there for many years. We, as a family felt blessed to have such a wonderful place for them so my parents could come visit us. Their pups were happy, VERY well cared for and above all LOVED! Happily for me my parents are moving much closer to me. I often need dog boarding service as my job requires traveling out of town a lot. The first time I picked Horse Shoe Kennels, I chose them for being nearby my home.They have a nicely maintained facility and the service is consistently professional. I left my golden retriever there and she must have had a very good time. Since then I've taken Molly there several more times without any worries.

Super disappointed! I have taken my pet there for the past year and it's been fine. I was told I couldn't call before August 1 to schedule for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I called that morning and scheduled 3 dates that were confirmed available. I called on October 17 to move some dates around and they only had ONE of my reservations. I was placed on a waiting list for the first reservation (without being told, again they said it was available) and the second one was incorrect. The only one they had right I was calling to cancel. Moving to Fruitland Kennels and avoiding them if I can help it!

During a recent Christmas I dropped my dog Hep off at Horseshoe Kennels where I’d been boarding him for 12 years. A week later on Christmas Eve I got a call from Sonya. She was concerned: Hep’s appetite was off dramatically and he was vomiting bile. I gave her my permission to bring him to an emergency, 24-hour veterinary clinic. The initial examination showed nothing wrong with him, and the vet released Hep back into Sonya’s care. However, Sonya asked the vet to take an x-ray. As it turns out, Hep’s stomach had rotated and he required emergency surgery. Since then he’s made a full recovery. That night Horseshoe Kennels saved my dog’s life twice: first, by recognizing Hep required emergency treatment; and second, by insisting on an x-ray before he was released. Great place, after just randomly showing up at a bunch of kennels this place was cleanand the owners were caring! We have boarded our large dogs there 4 times in the last year and have always been very happy with the results.
