When I’m looking for something special I always look to Crate. They are so knowledgeable, so helpful and know how to turn a simple bottle of wine look and feel like an extravagant gift. In this case it was my lovely wife’s birthday and it called for a bottle of champagne. They took me straight to the top shelf but did not try to sell me the most expensive bottle. Instead they recommended something really good that still wouldn’t break the bank. To me that is very honorable and as much as I wanted to tip they would not let me. The people at Crate make all the difference. The champagne was extraordinary and gave us a night to remember. I will keep coming back for special occasions and look forward to our next opportunity to celebrate with Crate.

I’m partially in despair that I’ve just learned about this GEM of a shop, when I could have been buying my wine here for years. Thankfully the thrill of knowing that I can come here for my wine from now on makes up for it! What a magical place. Top notch selection, wonderful prices, and such a treat to purchase from someone who is so incredibly knowledgeable. Bacchus himself would be proud.

If there was a wine store in Hallmark movies this would be it. A neighborhood store "where everyone knows your name". Nicole and her staff are amazing. Great selections, great advice and great wine club. I would rather shop here than save a couple of bucks at Costco.

The store itself is very well put together with a nice selection. I just really didn’t appreciate the customer service. The two workers weren’t downright rude but they definitely acted like me walking in was a bother to them. Not a single smile or warm greeting, just strange glances. I asked for a recommendation for a wine as well and their recommendation was very poor/low quality. For a small local business I was expecting friendly service but it was rather cold and odd. I’d go there again if it wasn’t for that but I’m afraid I’m a stickler for being friendly to customers.

This is my favorite wine store in the area. Nicole and her staff are very knowledgeable, and they stock a good selection of wine. Of course, if they don’t stock it, they will get it for you.Crate has a fun wine club in which you get 3 bottles on the first Friday of each month. If you are a club member, you automatically get a discount on all other purchases.

The staff are always helpful, and greet me by name as well (and I’m usually only in there every month or 2.) I’ve asked for things they haven’t had on their shelf and they always check to see if they can get what I’m looking for. It’s the only place I buy wine now.

Crate is a shop that specializes in offering a variety of wines from around the world. I always appreciate the consultants who guide me in the selection of wines. I can tell them that I want a wine to accompany a certain dish and they always seem to know exactly what to suggest.Crate carries an offering of easily acquirable wines to very prestigious small scale vineyards.I always feel like I come away from Crate not just having purchased a bottle but I always learn something as well which allows me to enjoy wine a bit more. Well done Crate!

I think this will be my new go to wine shop. Excellent selection, many names I was familiar with from my time living in Napa, but also some new labels that I will definitely be trying. And a good selection of imports as well. Nicole seems knowledgeable and was very friendly! Looking forward to tasting the couple of bottles I picked up!

The absolute best place to get your wine! Excellent selection at amazing prices! The staff is always so knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, and they take the time to remember my preferences and what I like, and regularly have new suggestions for me. This makes for the absolute best experience and it keeps me coming back! Not to mention, the wine is fantastic and they truly have the best offerings of anywhere. This is a terrific local wine shop - fantastic selection and surprisingly affordable. I can't believe I've lived around the corner from this wonderful little shop for years and only just discovered it for myself! The owner, Nicole is great - very knowledgeable about wine and has greeted me by name since the second time I visited. If you've been buying wine at the Ingles just around the corner, you're really missing out. Needless to say, I'm now a regular customer. SO highly recommend, I'd give it another star if I could!

This cozy little wine market in Laurel Park is very relaxing to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine. Great prices on their selection. The owners are very hospitable. We found out Crate is also dog-friendly!

This is my favorite wine store, the owners Nicole and Derek are awesome passionate wine lovers. The store has some great selections that you dont find at a grocery store or chain and the prices are extremely competitive. If you are in the Hendersonville area on vacation or just passing thru, you should stop by and check out the Crate, tell them Ed sent you.
