The only good thing about this place is Donna in the grill. They use to have good food but changed suppliers for some stupid reason. . Guy behind the register is a total jerk. Not friendly at all . Doesn't care if customer is happy or not . Will never go back there again . They cut their own throat because A new grill open up across the street and carried the same brands of meats and so Steel creek started using inferior quality meats. The owner here wrote a bad review about the new place nearby saying the food was no good and the the employees were not friendly.That's far from the truth. It's a good place and

Half the time there is no cook. I went into the store twice on the last trip to Kerr Lake. It was dusty and pretty filthy. Almost everything I asked about, they were out and didn't have it.When I presented a local businessman's check to me, the guy would not accept it.I've bought a ton of RV and boat gas there; no more, and have been a good customer for years, but no more.They'd better close Steele Creek Food & Tackle before the health department does. Lousy store.

Gas, food and drink, grill, bait and tackle, and a smile everday. Nice store. New management. Donna is back at the grill and its Summer time. What more can you ask for?
