My dog was cut in the eye by the groomer. She was bleeding profusely and shaking terribly. She had to have emergency surgery on her eye. They paid for it but this has caused me to have stress and anxiety and sometimes depression because I love my dog and hate to see her this way. Due to surgery she has to take antibiotics and pain meds. I do not recommend anyone bringing their pet here for grooming. Zero stars if I could.

Grooming not recommended. My dog has been groomed by many besides there. When I picked her up the groomer says she stopped her grooming because my dog bit her. I says really, she has never been aggressive to any groomer. My dog was not completed with hair cut. Looked terrible like that. So I told her to finish when me there and she says no. She allegedly bit her during electric clipper to hind area. So I said finish with scissors. She did.I go to register to pay and an additional fee was added without me being advised. Some fee indicatingUnruly dog or something. I wish now I had refused to pay that.For all I know it was the groomer who did something wrong that made my dog do anything. Maybe the clippers were still to hot. Most dogs willShow signs of being restless when they are being groomed and don’t like something, which a groomer should be aware of. But I have no way of. Knowing so the customer gets penalized. I saw no proof she was even bit.No more. Since then my dog has been fully groomed 3 times by other groomers with absolutely no issues.So yeah, no more Petsense in Henderson

My boyfriend and I came in the other night for food for our bearded dragon and the customer service was so great I had to write a review. The manager even came out and shot the breeze with us and helped us find the right size dubias! All live food was in great condition.

These folks have the nastiest attitude I ever encountered in my life! Especially the plus size girl who was rude to me when I needed information about a bearded dragon and lightning I was going to purchase. The manager was no better! She rudely asked me what did I want when he told her I needed help. I told her never mind! I went to the store in Roxboro and had a way better experience. These people are not friendly and I will never visit this store again! If I could rate this place zero stars I would!

Haven't actually been here yet but called to ask a question and spoke with Malcom. If he is a representation of what to expect when I do go then I'm just giving it a five stars right now. He was super nice and went above and beyond helping me get the answers I needed. I heard the register and him tell a customer their total in the background so he was also helping in store customers at the same. He could have easily just said no sir we don't have what your looking for, which would have been fine, but he took the time to give me other options and even looked up a phone number to a place that may have what I'm looking for. He even sounded glad to help me and not like I was bothering him. Thanks for the great customer service Malcom! If you're not the owner and the owner reads this.... You have an employee that cares about your business and its customers. I know because I own a retail business and would love my employees to treat our customers like Malcom treated me because customers are the lifeblood of any business and many employees seem to forget that and are just there to get their hours and a paycheck. I'm willing to pay more and drive a little further for customer service like that. Look forward to visiting the store.

The people that were at Petsense today were very rude and not helpful. I wanted to know whatGender was a bearded dragon because I was willing to purchase it. This bearded dragon has been there for at least three weeks that I have seen. Why don’t you think that they would want business by showing me the bearded dragon to purchase it rather than this dragon just sitting there on the shelves with no love and attention. I will not give my business to this company ever.

Taking 3 stars off for the rude service and lack of wanting to help a new customer in their store. The ONLY reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because they had the specialty food I needed that my normal supplier has had a hard time stocking since Covid hit, and they were a bit more convenient. But, unless I absolutely have to, I won't be shopping with them again. Customer service is a BIG deal to me. My normal supplier goes above and beyond to help, so I'll just plan in advance for my next purchase.

After being told I could bring my puppy up there to get groomed I was told i couldn't once I got there. He had to have his rabies shot. I'm not upset at that but the fact I was told it'd be fine to bring him w/out it and driving almost 30 mins to get there upset me. The whole attitude in the store was kinda stuck up. Unless I have to, i wont be back.

I had never heard of this place before; I was actually there because Vance County Animal Shelter sent me there to adopt a pet. The employees were amazing. Even an off duty employee there with family. They told me what to do and where to go to do the adoption and even helped me out with directions. There was one little one that I had concerns about and the employee voiced they had already contacted VCAC and they were sending someone to check out what was wrong. They are super pet friendly staff and while I was waiting I looked at the store stuff cl and prices seems moderately priced for the area. Over all I would give the store and staff and thumbs up. I drove over an hour to go there and will make the trip again.

If you take your dog here to get a bath he may or may not get clean. One of the groomers is really good whilst another is NOT. If you don't see the white girl with short cut hair and tattoos in the back I'd pass.

I love this pet store! First of all it is the only pet store around for its surrounding little towns without having to drive to the bigger cities. It carries a great variety of pet foods just as the big city ones do. They offer pet grooming and if you just have a stinky little fella they offer just bathing priced by weight which in my opinion is very reasonably priced. They sometimes have animals there for adoption. I have seen a few cats there and they have all been adorable and thankfully found their furever homes!! The staff there are always pleasant and willing to help with anything that you may need. They have sales on pet foods all the time. I would highly recommend a visit here!!!

The staff are very friendly and helpful!! They have a good selection of dog products, especially for a small town store. They also have a loyalty program, if you buy 10 bags of food you get one free.

My dog really likes True Source dog food, and this place has it, plus a good selection and good prices. Customer service is okay, but neither patrons nor employees seem all that concerned about wearing masks.

Literally in tears! Took my dog here to get groomed and my furbaby has cuts on her. We have NEVER had this problem before with other groomers. She is very well behaved and doesn't move around at all while getting a hair cut. Please becareful taking your furbabies here to get cut.

I went there to get my cat groomed, drove 45 minutes made the appointment 2 weeks prior And was told they do cat grooming, when I got there I was told they didn't groom cats because she didn't have clippers and they cost $200 how much do you get paid at this job where you can't get clippers to do your job I was very upset

Place is a joke I spend 50 to a 100 dollars a week at this place for them to tell me come back in a hour to get crickets when they are setting right in front of me waiting to b put into the holding bin so I have to drive all the way home and back because the lady was either to lazy to do it then or its some kind of dumb rule they have either way Aquarium Outfitters in Wake Forest will get my money from now on

It's a good place to shop when you aren't able to make it to Raleigh or Durham to go to a bigger pet store. Limited selection is the only real knock against it.
