Slash Creek Outfitters is the place to get your beach rental equipment. My husband and I rented kayaks and Andy was super helpful in giving us all the tips and tricks, as well as the best spots to explore. The golf cart we used to get around the village was great, too. The cart was such a fun way to get around the village. The kayaks allowed us to explore, enjoy the wildlife and tranquility of Hatteras.

Julia was FANTASTIC!! My sister and I went on a sunset tour, booking was a breeze, a short walk to the launch site and we were on our way! Julia was very knowledgeable of the area, an extremely courteous guide, asked about our skill level, always checked for our comfort and took pictures which she forwarded the next day. It was a peaceful, beautiful trip, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Fantastic paddle today with the help of Kevin. Very friendly and organized rental spot and easy to find. Kevin brought the kayaks to the launch area, helped us into the kayaks and launched us. Beautiful wetlands to paddle in and easy to navigate. Highly recommend Slash Creek Outfitters!

Went to the shop in search of a new boogie board, as i had broken the cord on mine. They sold me a used board and a new cord to fix my broken board! Great customer service, helped me to save my board from the trash and repurpose something used!

We rented kayaks to go kayaking with our kids. We were inexperienced kayakers. They showed us our route and fitted us for life vests. They were very helpful in explaining everything and even gave us a dry bag to put our phones in during the trip. Once we got out there, the wind was pretty strong in one direction so we changed the route and basically stayed fairly close to the drop off point. We didn’t use the full hour but expected to pay for the hour rental. We were pleasantly surprised that they prorated our rentals to the time we actually used. We enjoyed our kayaking and would use Slash Creek again.

Slash Creek Outfitters provided rental equipment to the Little Pink Houses of Hope Buxton NC 2022 Trip. My husband and I took the tandem kayak out to Durant Point in Hatteras NC at the recommendation of the employee, and the views there were amazing! I really had a great time!

Been here many times over the years & Eddie & Gail are always friendly in makimg the customer experience special. Whether we purchased something to a Eco SUP / Kayak adventure, we have always been pleased. I'd recommend them for your bike rentals, kayak, to checking out their many other selections. Great and friendly people. Rented a few SUPs and a double kayak. The drop off spot is perfect and just down from the location. We had some care issues when we got back and the owner drove most our crew back to our rental while I waited for a tow. Couldn't of asked for better people or a better experience.

We arrived out of season so they weren't quite ready for us but the lady was super kind and hooked us up with an extra pole just in case the ones we rented failed. Her fishing guy hasn't arrived yet for the season so she was worried about the gear a bit. Great place.

They were very pleasant the owner Gail came to pick us up at marina where we were docked, so we didn’t have to walk a mile and half. She also came to pick bikes up the next day for us. Thank you Gail for your help, greatly appreciated it.

A.S Austin Co. Is a great place to stop for your rentals. I wish I could remember the women’s name who took care of us. She was absolutely wonderful. We were being evacuated due to hurricane Dorian and she took care of us. I felt terribly that this storm was going to impact business like this but she seemed more concerned with our visit to OBX being cut short. I look forward to renting from this company again. They are very fair and they do business on a kind and informative way.

Terrible!! Use the place right down the street they are awesome, cheaper, and so nice !! Only rated one star cause I had to. Lady made comments about me being stupid and then continued to make a comment to others in our group saying she knows we are trouble. DO NOT USE!!
