Young lady working at the front desk was really nice and friendly. The food was good. I really enjoyed the BBQ sandwich and baked beans. My wife and daughters enjoyed the fried chicken and the sides we ordered for them. We ordered the kids chicken tenders but they were a bit too spicy and the texture didn't seem too tasty and or fried. We had to throw away the chicken tenders.

Small mom and pop place, we came for breakfast the whole experience was not good. Service was slow, we got coffees and no cream. The coffees were cold by the time we could request cream for the 2nd time. We each got an egg platter, and 1 pancake… the food was cold and flavorless… The younger waitress kept complaining she was so busy… this was a 9 table restaurant. Thank you to the older waitress who was attentive. We truly waited longer to place the order than for the food itself. I’ve heard good things about the BBQ, so maybe just skip on the breakfast.

I was pretty sick last week and we ordered to go a bunch. In a time where it costs a fortune to eat or order out, I have to give a shoutout to Simply Southern in Point Harbor. For the 3 of us, we ordered a whole fried chicken (8 piece), mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and green beans for just over $40, and we even had leftovers. In contrast, a different night, we ordered 2 pizzas, a side salad and an order of wings, which was over $80. Not hating on the pizzeria, that’s not the point. I’m just saying that Somply Southern does a good job, offers mobile ordering, and is affordable! And they serve breakfast on weekends, which we also had today. It was excellent!

I thought for sure we had found the perfect place. Cute country place. I ordered the special which was meatloaf. It tasted grilled but it was super dry and not a lot of flavor.the corn on the cob was seriously soggy...like it was frozen...but the mashed potatoes were good. My husband had the pickled bribe chicken sandwich...at which he liked. Kids shrimp....good portion and yummy. Salisbury steak was good. We got the hushpuppies with their honey butter...those were fresh and good.The girl waiting on tables (lives next door) great personal skills and great server.

We came here for lunch. It’s a cute little restaurant. I like the decor of the place.I ordered Fried chicken 3 pieces with hushpuppies and collard green. I like that they lightly sprinkle salt on the hushpuppies to enhance the sweetness. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly and still juicy.Blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream was perfect to end the meal. The warm blueberry filling and the cold vanilla ice cream complimented each other.The staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place.

Traveling here from Maryland. Saw the sign and wanted to try someplace different. Wow!! The service and the food was 5 stars +Best Fried Pickles, Hush Puppies, Fried Oysters, Fried chicken, collard greens and sweet tea. I'll be back to visit. And will post on my travel agency site.

This place was AMAZING! The servers and staff all looked happen to work there, the food was phenomenal, it was quick, and so clean!!! We will for sure be back! The food was so good I forgot to get the photo until I was like halfway done 🤣🤣

Great little restaurant. The chicken livers were fried really crispy and crunchy, and the fries okra was good too. The mashed potatoes were probably instant but we’re still good. The biscuit wasn’t the best I’ve had, though good.The service was excellent. My server was a real hard worker and was friendly.

This picture is from my first visit and the food and environment was amazing. Revisited and was highly disappointed. Food was not worth eating. They comped our meal. Will definitely not return. It is always sad when a really good place to eat goes down hill fast. Service was slow. Ran out of food after ordering and the home fried were potato chips. Sad.

The name doesn't mislead when it comes to Simply Southern...and the menu delivers big Southern delight. I stopped in for lunch and had the Salisbury steak paired with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy and fried okra... outstanding taste... perfect portions and affordable price .... Comfort food at its finest. Big A++ here!!I’m not surprised at how much this restaurant has just gotten more delicious than I experienced my last visit! Top notch service by this lovely server and the specials are always well priced and plentiful! A must for anyone who wants a good meal, home style cooking and southern charm service!!! Thank you for another great experience!

The Name Says It All! Cozy spot with home cooking. Menu is smaller, but everything is delicious. Generous portions and super friendly staff. First time in a while I've seen my kids clean their plates.

Everything we ate was great! Fried chicken, fried okra, green beans, bbq sandwich, grilled cheese, green beans, hush puppies. The hush puppies stood out as especially delicious and the corn was the least flavorful of it all.
