Great meat plus three restaurant. True home style cooking. Chicken pie was delicious. Mac and cheese was outstanding and the potato salad had a lot of flavor. You can't go wrong stopping here.

Diane is an awesome waitress. She makes you feel like family instead of just a customer. She knows her menu and knows her job. The food is always good which means they have a loyal kitchen staff. You can tell how good the place is by the packed parking lot unlike the restaurant up the road which will never hold a candle to Darwin's. If you've never had their baked beans I highly recommend along with their creamed corn on Wednesday. Their tenders in traditional sauce are a must try too.

Waitress was very friendly. The daily menu is mounted along the whole wall in the back of the room. The food was very good. I went here for the first time because it was rated #1 on trip advisor for Hamptonville. I can see why, its a good place to go. Prices are good! For 3 people, we each got a shrimp or fish plate, and the total was around $30.

The next time I am driving my wife around dreaming of being Amish, we will stop in again. The food was good and at a good price. A friendly staff did a great job dealing with a pitcher of water on the floor and a lizard crawling on my foot. Darwin’s falls into the category of rural restaurant worth a visit. A variety of meal choices, good service and cleaner than most. It is isolated from what I could see, or not see. The white cinderblock building and gravel parking lot are minimal but ample. The interior is also minimal though COVID could play a factor in its appearance. Daily specials are on the wall and the menu does offers a verity of foods. If you are passing through, plan a stop. You will be pleased.

Passing through we searched for restaurants near us & this gem of a place popped up! Only a minute or 2 from US 421...quaint local restaurant! Staff was really friendly & the food was delicious!Parking: It seems if we had gotten there a few minutes later we wouldn't have found a park. Very busy place!

The service is great... most days. On slower days, the service is worse than on their money making days. If you want the best service, go on Friday and Saturday.The food is a 7 out of 10 on the busy days, but 9 out of 10 on the slower days.If ou want great food, expect worse service. If you want great service, expect the food to not be top notch.Either way you do, it's still pretty good. Overall 8 out of 10 for me.

Breakfast is great! So is everything else. Never had a bad meal here. $5 breakfast deal can't be best. Chicken tenders and tenderloin are amazing. The original sauce is excellent. Service is great and Darwin is such a great guy.

Very good food, very good prices 👍. And nice people. Can't ask for anymore. Will be there for more and tell others. Especially on Fridays the best fish I have ever eaten and I have eaten. Lol. And Breakfast the tenderloin 6.95 two big pieces tenderize and bread don't need a knife. I have to say the best country food. Check it out. Open till 9 pm. Easy to get to it plenty of parking. Wow. Thank you all that work there. A+.
