The lady at the counter was pretty nice and knowledgeable of the itemsShe also let me try the black walnuts, which is slyly different as it has a slight smell and tastes a wee bit different than the usual.They do have fresh walnuts that are yum for $4/lb. Going back to get some for the fam. Might make some brownies.They're a small store like the old mom and pop ones, but have a variety of stuff that is even more than what Lowe had on stock. A staff at Lowe's led me to discover them for an item I needed.

Great place! Very friendly staff! I try to always come here before big chains to support local business and I enjoy the atmosphere walking in. Staff Always asks me if I need to be pointed in any direction.The owner also recommend me a great HVAC company.

Very nice business located in Hamlet. I've lived here for 5 years and this was my first time stopping. Very helpful owner, much busier than I expected, just like a hangout for locals. They even had a good assortment of fresh vegetables and fruits. Lots of items as well, had what I needed and being so much closer to my home I will make it my first choice for hardware.Update: Have been here several more times, always have what I need at good prices. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. My goto hardware store from now on.

Been doing business with these folks for years! They are very good to their customers, remember your name, and treat everyone like old family friends. It’s very seldom when they may be out of stock on an item, but they can order it same day. Unlike the big box stores such as Lowes or Home Depot this store caters to the needs of our local community. We love the McDonald family, and the many years they’ve serviced our community at the Hamlet Hardware!!

Take a trip backward in time by about 50 years...the town shopkeeper is the most knowledgeable expert you'll encounter. You walk in with a problem and they have a solution. They care enough to call you by your name, and remember the last project you were working on. They offer helpful tips and solutions to get it done.Fast forward to today, and this is the exact experience you'll get at Hamlet Ace Hardware. If you need it, you should be able to find it there. Grab a slice of Hoop Cheese and a Blenheim Ginger Ale and browse around. If you don't see what you need, just ask for it...you'll get excellent quality, competitively-priced merchandise. Seed by the ounce, healthy plants, Case Knives, plumbing parts, electrical supplies, agricultural solutions...things you need and even things you didn't know you couldn't live without pack the shelves there.The real experience is the way the staff and local folks treat you. You can wander the aisles of the big box stores and watch the employees scurry by, almost seemingly trying to avoid you. You can't get 15 paces into this place without someone speaking and offering to help. Even if it I had to spend a few more dollars, I would gladly pay for this experience any time.Th next time you need anything related to home improvement, check here first. Or, if you have a little bit of time to kill, step back in time and wander in...you won't regret it.

This is how I remember hardware stores from my childhood. You can pretty much find anything you are looking for here. I'm still getting to know the "layout" but help is always nearby when needed. Grab a cold pop @the door when you walk in (just don't forget to pay for it!)

My favorite place to go...they have almost everything! Sponge type filters to bull rings & the tools to apply...I got a wall attached can opener, which is only kind I can use without breaking! Employees are helpful friendly...
