We just took an afternoon drive to Hallsboro (40 miles one way) been hearing dor quite some how good the homeade sausage was and lemme tell ya it did not disappoint it burned up perfectly like sausage should best IV ever had been a neeses fan for years can u say bye bye neeses I can thank you can't wait to try the jalapeno cheddar and the ground chuck😊👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼

If you've read Cannery Row by John Steinbeck, you already know Lee Chong's grocery store: "Lee Chong's grocery, while not a model of neatness, was a miracle of supply. It was small and crowded but within its single room a man could find everything he needed or wanted to live and to be happy--clothes, food, both fresh and canned, liquor, tobacco, fishing equipment, machinery, boats, cordage, caps pork chops. You could buy at Lee Chong's a pair of slippers, a silk kimono, a quarter pint of whisky and a cigar. You could work out combinations to fit almost any mood. The one commodity Lee Chong did not keep could be had across the lot at Dora's" -John Steinbeck, Cannery Row.Pierce & Co. Is a bit like that, but better. And they now have EV charging stations, which definitely didn't exist when Steinbeck wrote this.

Pierce & Company is a local treasure. When I was building my treehouse, it was so convenient to order my lumber and have it delivered directly to my job site. It's a great resource for sailing club members at Lake Waccamaw who need mooring supplies. They even carry 3M adhesive products. We are also big fans of their house-made sausage and prime rib!

Love this place. Great butcher block. Homemade sausage and liver pudding are fantastic. Best hoop cheese around. Cut to order rib eyes are awesome. This place is worth going to just to see the inside of a 100+ year old general store.

Love this place. Wonderful store that is reminiscent of days gone by. They have lumber and bricks, porch swings, rocking chairs, cast iron cookware and so much more. They even have a butcher shop, where you can watch them hand cut your steaks, anyway you want them. They have cracklings and skins that are awesome too. The homemade sausage and hoop cheese here, is the absolute best. Don't miss out, wonderful place to browse and shop. Highly recommend!

Mark and crew were beyond hospitable. We got a nice ribeye from the meat market and some overalls and a Pierce & Co T-shirt from the general store. He also went out of his way to help a couple of out-of-towners enjoy Lake Waccamaw to it's fullest.

Best general store or all around store there is in my opinion. Don't let the location fool u. They have a lil bit of everything. The meat market is the best!! And they also fully support our 2nd amendment rights!!!

Been going there for 30yr years. They have almost anything you need. Old thing toIt's like going back in time. And the people are great. If you need lumber It's better then other its 1st not 3rd or 4th.rhat split. So ck them outGod bless ya always
