It's been awhile since the pig wiggled away I left us with gas station snacks in Dollarama bologna. Now a long-awaited supermarket within walking distance of downtown Grifton has become all superhero. No more carpooling for 20 mi for chicken wings chicken eggs, or fresh fruits and veggies. It is the return of hometown essentials. It is a one stop super shop for us one stop shoppers. A home for those who cook their own. It's giving us more of what we're shopping for. Free parking. Handicap accessible. Be proud to have Food Pride...

Honestly the reviews are misleading..I imagine people that didn't have a grocery store for years find this as acceptable so fair but this review is based off all groceries not just Grifton's needs. If you like a fresh deli or quality and eating non bio-engineered food, Organic Produce, Grass Fed Meat etc you will be hard pressed. The lack of buildings in town also led to a too small space being used to expand & deliver the quality mentioned eventually so this is probably what you get. I'll add however generally the town is not health conscious and could care less about Organic Produce/Grass Fed meat or to research what a bio engineered food is .. honest pros and cons belowPros------ Very Clean, Nice Staff. Store looks good.- Fills a need the town had.Cons- Very Unhealthy Selections, Bio Engineered Foods, Lots of stuff being down priced about to expire. Hardly any Produce. Some produce low quality and no organic. The Prices are very premium for low to mid quality items and commercial brands.

I don't foresee this establishment surviving long in Grifton as nothing typically does. The shelves were very neat & presentable but the prices of everything was outrageous, I don't know how anyone can afford the prices but of course Grifton residents probably do because of its convenience. 1 tub of ice cream was $6+ versus what you pay at Food Lion or Walmart. They didn't have the soft drink I went in for either. Finally, the girl running the register was nice but there was another girl scrolling on her phone the whole time during the duration of my check out. I simply went in because I have gift cards to use but once I utilize those I will not return. Definitely nothing to rave about.

Food Pride,Wow at first I was skeptical of the store, but the manager and the butcher listen to the customers, and I have to tell you, it is wonderful that I can go there instead of Ayden for food.The manager listened to me, and now has all my choice dog food and drinks there, plus every once in awhile they sell plants to start your garden.Already have my peppers growing!Thank you.

Grifton's great grocery store! Very clean, Food Pride store brands are very comparable to other name brand products. The staff is superbly helpful and friendly! You cannot go wrong doing your grocery shopping in Grifton.

Doesn’t accept ebt or wic most people in this small community have to go to ayden nc and kinston just to get groceries. Other that that it’s a nice clean store employee are super nice
