I came here earlier today & my cashier was so chill I had to leave him a good review. I wish I had gotten his name but, he greeted me when I entered & tried to get me a deal for the few things I got. I usually stress when checking out bc I’m not very social & find it awkward but his hospitality let me feel comfortable

Since when does Family Dollar not mark holiday stuff down the day after the holiday. When i ask the cashier to take it off she huffed and made a face. I ended up buying the product full price just to leave.

This store just needs to shut the doors. For the past 3 years I've lived close by, it is closed almost once a week it seems like for one reason or another. Now they have been closed for a week because the a/c is out. I have worked in a retail/pharmacy setting before and they would NEVER close for the a/c(or any reason), even in the middle of the summer like it is now. HOWEVER, in a situation like that, they had a tech working on it that day or the next, never a whole week! Thankfully there are 3 dollar generals within a 5 mile radius from this store, so I don't have to go to far for a quick trip when I forgot to pick something up at the grocery store.

I was once an employee here. I enjoyed the work and the customers but there are rotten eggs within. There is A small conniving women that works there named Alice. Be careful with her. She is very very slow and complains about her job constantly. She mixes chemicals in with food (basic stuff you don’t do) slams good up against counters and has no problem sinking to a level of talking bad about you to the people close to you. She doesn’t want the job and doesn’t deserve it. She will make you look like the bad guy even when your doing 8 things and she can’t breath doing one. Obvious management needs fixing. Derick is Bi Polar and can be 3 people at once, not good as manager. Luke has cleaned up inside but will not clean out the poison in his staff. I walked away from this place because of this plus more, much more. The business Deserves better, allot of product and cheap.

I’ve never been inside this location, but I drive by it every day, and there is more trash in the landscaping near the dumpster than there is probably IN the actual dumpster. It’s an eyesore and not only that, but they clearly don’t care about littering, considering it’s been like this for a very long time. They clearly have no respect for themselves at this location, and it’s very sad. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend.

The turn over there is horrible!!! The store is always nasty... I had a terrible experience with the assistant Manager Derrick!!!!! Awful attitude!! Luke from my insert is the “new” manager, he has a great attitude always trying to help and make your shopping experience a great one!! They have slot of cashiers there that don’t need to be working with the public, if you don’t like your job then do something else! Why does Family Dollar work their employees 84 hours a week , I know they do the managers! That’s in humane!!!!! That’s why they can’t keep good people!!!! I have stopped going because they are so unpleasant!!!!

The store has low price items. But the store is always nasty. They need floor care very badly. Trash is every where. U boats are always blocking the isles. And the parking lot is the worst. The employees also throw out trash in the dumpster and they dont shut the door and trash is every where in the surrounding neighbors yard. Over all this store needs a better management team.

The "manager" Sondra is the most unprofessional and disrespectful person I've ever met.I wish there was an option to give this store zero stars. I've never had such a bad experience shopping in my life. The woman who claims she's the "manager" of this store has a horrible hateful attitude. She was so disrespectful to my family and I. My family and I came into this store today with the intention of shopping for some fall clothes. This is the first time I've ever been to this location and I liked the clothes that were available, I asked one of the workers if they had a dressing room and they said they would have to go and ask the manager of the store (I'm not sure why they couldn't just answer yes or no?). But that's when our nightmare experience begin. An older woman with short hair who claimed to be the manager showed up and informed me that "We have no dressing room, but you can buy the clothes and take them home and if they don't fit you can bring them back, and we will give you your money back if you bring the clothes back in the condition they left the store in. " I said "Ok sure." from the moment she approached me she had an attitude. After this I begin looking threw the clothes and deciding what I'd like to buy, I was loading a basket up, as I was planning on spending well over a couple hundred dollars. She stood there watching me the whole time I was going threw the clothes, just glaring at me and my family. She looked at us like she was disgusted. She made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome... I tried to brush it off and kept shopping. I tried on a jacket, and before I could even get it buttoned up she snapped at me with a nasty tone in her voice and said "You can't do that in this store! " I've never been in a store that wouldn't even let you try on a jacket. I could understand if I was stripping down and getting naked in the middle of the store, but I was trying on a jacket over my shirt. She had a problem with my family and I from the moment we walked threw the doors. She followed us around and glared at us as if we were criminals, she racially profiled my family and I, and treated us with so much disrespect that we had to leave. She wouldn't even leave us alone in peace to shop, she stayed within 3 feet from us glaring and giving us nasty looks the whole time we were in the store. My husband (who is Hispanic) felt so disrespected and disgusted by her attitude that he looked at me and said "Let's go and spend our money some where we won't be disrespected. " She then FOLLOWED US TO THE DOOR, and took the basket out of my hand before I could even get my phone and wallet out of it. My husband and I both work very hard for our money. I'm a mother of a special needs 1 year old son and rarely get to treat myself by buying clothes, it may not be a big deal to a lot of people to go out and get a few new outfits, but this was a big deal to me. I was so excited when I first walked into the store and I left the store in tears. Not only was the way we were treated unethical but racial profiling and discrimination are against the law, and NO ONE should ever be made to feel the way we felt today!I hope that the owner sees this review and reconsiders their choice of a manager. This is a fairly new store, in a small town word of mouth travels fast, and with management like that this business will be run into the ground in no time. I wonder how many other families she's disrespected and made feel so unwelcome. I wonder how much money this store has lost because of her nasty attitude. Someone with an attitude like that shouldn't be working with the public - much less be a manager. I've never met someone so disrespectful and unprofessional in my life. The way she treated us is disgusting. I will never shop at this store again.

I could not good assistance from a girl named Samara. And item would be posted for a coupon a dollar on something and when she couldn't find it either she said well I can't find it either and walked off and item would be posted for a coupon and dollar off so I just put all my items back purchase my one little dollar item and walked out. Put that kind of service I will not shop there. Also the item that was advertised was not available on the Shelf as well. And I stood there 40 minutes in a store that posted coupons and wasn't even on your site

The merchandise is of reasonable price, however the staff is offensively rude and just plain lazy idiots!! I Previously would frequently shop at family Dollar, but obviously only go in the establishment when necessary, to purchase specific items. I do enjoy looking through the clearance isle and admit to being indecisive with my purchases. While looking in the clearance isle recently, I was approached by an uniformed security guard asking me really odd questions such as do I shop there often and do I ALWAYS end up purchasing items when shopping. I kindly answered his questions, thinking at that point maybe his purpose in asking was some type of survey or something.. then he proceeded to accuse me indirectly of stealing. I was baffled. Surely they had me confused with someone else. But I continued to respectfully listen to the rent a cop, he explained to me that if you put merchandise in your cart, but decide against the purchase BUT DO NOT return it to it's proper place, it is suspicious behavior, thus that person must be stealing. First and foremost, I have this moral characteristic called integrity. But further hold a NC NMLS BANKING LICENSE, which one can't acheive unless background is clean and clear of any charges. I was so offended and just plain embarrassed as the rent a cop continued to justify this false accusation by referencing to a previous shopping excursion when I again changed my mind about purchasing specific items, but I failed to return said item to it's rightful place.. I was baffled! I've never been accused of such behavior. Again, I'm a professional whom holds an highly esteemed banking license. So, I politely put everything I had in my basket back to it's rightful place, went to the front counter and announced I was taking my business elsewhere. Rent a cop again attempted to explain himself so I kindly stated that I understood he was merely doing his job. However I was offended beyond measures and again would politely take my business where it's appreciated! My advice to the half wit Family Dollar employees, STOP HARRASING PAYING CUSTOMERS SIMPLY BECAUSE YOUR TOO DAMM LAZY TO DO YOUR JOB, WHICH ENTELLS PLACING MERCHANDISE BACK WHERE IT BELONGS REGARDLESS IF THE CUSTOMER DECIDES AGAINST THE PURCHASE!!! My only wrong doing was not putting an item back where I initially picked it up at. However I always wait to make such decisions at the registers when paying thus asking the PAID employee if it would be okay to leave upfront. Never again will they get one penny of my hard earned money!!!

My husband and I were driving home from spending Thanksgiving with my family and had been on the road for several hours at this point. We have two girls - one eight and one 10 year old. The eight year old has encopresis caused by (diagnosed with biopsy) celiac. The 10 year old has been having premenstrual symptoms and many signs of her oncoming first period and has been going to the bathroom for nausea/cramps/etc suddenly and randomly.We stopped for a bathroom break at about 7, continued driving - the 10 year old needed to use bathroom at about 815. She complained of pain and really needing to go, so we began to look for a rest stop. Within 10 minutes, the 8 yo needed to use bathroom and neither felt they could hold it. We pulled up to the family Dollar - fastest and closest place we could find with no nearby gas stations that we knew of in an unfamiliar place.I asked the clerks behind the counter where the restrooms were and they told me that there was no bathroom we could use. My husband came in with the 8 yo at this moment and asked if we could take her in to a bathroom to use/make sure she hadn't had an accident (caused by encopresis) and they told us no - said the bathroom they had was out of order. My husband asked if there was a men's room or any thing that we could take the younger one into and they said they had no usable bathroom in the establishment - not even to walk into to (potentially) change our daughters underwear in private.To my husband, this creates one of two problems - the first in that family Dollar in this location apparently forces their employees to work full shifts without a single bathroom break, OR these two women lied and refused to let two CHILDREN (8 and 10) use the bathroom. Either one is unacceptable and needs to be addressed.I am very upset and disappointed in this store for not allowing children to use the bathroom, no matter the circumstances. Children are not adults and should be allowed to use the bathroom whenever they need to the moment they do. The fact that we explained the situation and were told we weren't even allowed to step inside the "out of order" restrooms for our daughter's privacy is appalling.

Ever since the store decided to bring in all new workers I feel the store has gotten worst... It always looks like a wreck down every aisle you walk through and seems unclean... Also when the employees take their smoke breaks they do so right at the entrance of the store and when you walk in you can smell the smoke traveling in the store. Also the lady Bobbi that works there is extremely rude. I had 2 coupons on my app that didn't come off and showed them to her for her to redeem them. She proceeded to tell they had nothing to do with the coupons that are on MY app. This is not my app this is family dollars app and if you're not going to let the coupons be used then don't advertise them. Please get more friendly people in your store. So far Julia is really the only pleasant one that y'all have

No face masks when I question the employee at check out he said "we don't tell anybody what to do or don't do" I will not shop here again it is a very unsafe store and they are above the law. Masks are currently the law in NC.
