First time visiting and got everything for my new aquarium here. Will definitely come back for more fish, accessories and decors such as rocks and all that. ❤😃 They also have a very good selection of rats, tarantulas, birds and more (I saw a very sweet ferret there!) . Very nice owners, clean store, happy & healthy animals and products are neatly displayed. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Support local business!!! She's been very helpful with us throughout our venture of having a freshwater tank. Most of our fish have come from there. The only issue that I would say is that we have lost 3 after buying(3 separate times) and there was no refund or replacement offered. But she's pretty knowledgeable as she's been doing this for most of her life.

Best pet shop I’ve ever been to! She’s very knowledgeable about her pets and will answer any questions you have. My family got a leopard gecko from her 9 years ago and an African fat tail last week. Very healthy reptiles! We always get our crickets and worms from this shop.

Great locally owned pet store that has knowledge of all pets to help you when needed. The works were friendly and didn't mind answering questions we had about our fish and cats. Prices are fair due to them being a small locally owned shop. Take the time to visit them before going to the large chain stores and get the information you need and not feel like a burden to them when you are in the store.

This place needs to be shut down. None of the reptiles have heat or uvb, obvious deformities and are housed together. Other animals were in bad shape too and the place smelt awful.

The owner was rude the first time I meet her.My oldest daughter bought a rabbit . And the owner told her it was a dwarf rabbit . It grew into a regular large rabbit. And is very aggressive.She went back to the store and found a real dwarf rabbit, feel in love with it. Got it home it seem malnourished and skinny. 3 weeks later it dies in my child’s hands. Took the rabbit back to show the owner and she refused to refund the money. Plus no one working in the shop, (each time we’ve went ) did not where a mask in a pubic store. Even had an under age child working (with no mask) in the store each time.She offered to replace the rabbit with any other animal. But wouldn’t allow a store credit for anything else in the store. So my child is out of 50 bucks . Not a way to run a business. Everything is dirty and smells. Just to add. Can’t believe Granitefalls allowed it to open in such a cute town.

Helen provides friendly and knowledgeable service. Her store is well maintained with a nice selection of fish, small animals, birds, and reptiles. She also carries a variety of products for those animals. I highly recommend!

Lady was nice. Thought it was good prices, turned out the beta and angel fish had parasites that killed everything in my tank. The beta is barely alive but everything else is dead. He looks as if his head has a hole in it and white specs all over him. I had my other fish for 2 months and they were fine till I bought these 2. It's sad they have to go thru this suffering. Didnt have the fish but a week.

I've gone here a few times in the past as I am slightly impulsive and tend to get hamsters or rats whenever i am bored or feel like it. My last rat died in February. It was sneezing when I got back home but I chalked it up to the fact that i was carrying the rat and tank in a slight drizzle. Anyways, the lady is very nice and the store has a generally welcoming feel. A lot of people have been saying they've been seeing dead animals, and while its not impossible, i for one have never seen them. I plan on coming back when possible to get a cage and such as i plan to be getting a bunny from some slightly shady people behind a drug store. Can't wait.

I love when Gilligan and Mary Ann meet me at the door. The prices are competitive and I've never had any issues with either pet purchased from here. The lady is always nice and business oriented.

This was honestly a terrible experience. I walked in and was instantly hit in the face with a smell so terrible that I almost gagged. I asked the lady up front if she had any rats. She said "yes" and pointed to the back. I walked that way and saw about 20 rats in a very small tank with no food or water. She comes up behind me with an attitude and asks what size. I tell her large and she says "well what size is the snake" I tell her it's not for a snake and she looks at me and says "there is no way you can handle a large rat" (all the rats I've ever had have been large rats, I can definitely handle them) I tell her this and she asks what sex. I tell her female and she just walks away. I thought she was going to continue helping me but she disappears for a while and then goes back upfront. This was the rudest women I've met. I will NEVER be back.

I took my niece's to get a gerbil and the store was nasty and smelt terrible. It hasn't been 2 days and the gerbil we bought died sometime between lastnight n now. Never again will I ever go to get another pet from this place and also the lady was very rude. And all the animals were poor condition and didnt food or water and she had a rabbit in a tank right beside a snake. Who does that. This place needs to be shut down asap.#shut down this pet store asap

Small variety of pets to chose from, but that's okay because it's a small business! The owner of the store is the sweetest. The feeder mice are very healthy! We have bought multiple supplies from this little store and everything is in good condition!

To be honest it was by accident that I end up in this nice pet store....Im not much for snakes but a friend that owns three picked me up and asked if I would ride with here somewhere so I agreed...and we end up in granite falls parked in front of the city law office. I never heard of the place before but believe me now I have a place to check out some beautiful pets with awesome service. Just stop in and see for yourself...peace and much love to all

This place is awful. Dead fish floating around in the tanks, the animals are crammed into tanks and cages far too small. We went in to look at their parakeets, and there were about 10 in a cage I wouldn't keep 1 in. Beaks broken, one was beaten up and missing toes. We ended up buying one, because my daughter cried and wanted to rescue at least one. The lady grabbed the bird and stuffed it into a box the size of a hot pocket. Never again.

Some of these reviews HAVE to be fake! I can NOT believe some of these reviews. That is SO wrong. I’m not an “animal person” and even I left there kind of sad and feeling a little guilty like I should buy an animal from there to rescue them from such deplorable conditions. Go in there and ✅ it out. As soon as you walk in and smell it, you’ll know something isn’t right. All the food bowls are empty, water bottles too! The lady was just sitting at counter, I wanted to offer to fill them myself, it couldn’t take that long and she’s just sitting there. The birds don’t chirp, the bunnies are cowering in the corner. There is bedding all over the floor. It is SO sad😭I saw reviews on here like a year ago where multiple people bought animals and they ended up being sick and dying 😢 Honest to God, it’s baffling/mind blowing 🤯 how they are still open. Please go there and buy some animals, like a community rescue mission. The guinea pig was eating wood chips. Just go 👀 that 💩 is crazy. There was other reviews, I just looked through them all and they are gone! So are the pics. How odd!

This is one of two pet store's located in the heart of Granite Falls, NC. This particular small "pet" store sits on the corner, being the first store you come to as you start the square in Granite. There are a few parking spots located directly in front of the store. The store can be easily missed since it's store front faces away from the street if you are coming in from the Rhodhiss side. There is a small sign on the door, that identifies it. I place quotation marks around the word "Pet" because I would consider this more a "fish and aquarium supply" store, since that was the majority of the store's offerings. There were approximately 25 tanks with many of your BASIC household FRESH WATER aquarium fish. Several types of Guppies, Betas, Paco, small fin shark, algae eaters, guppies, and Neons to mention a few. There isn't a big variety but they offered aquatic frogs, aquatic snails, and I seen a couple small aquatic plants. There are also Koi fish for outdoor ponds. There are a few small and med aquariums, a variety of aquarium maintence supplies such as filters, air pumps, and water testing products. They have a rather good selection of fish foods, but don't offer many choices for the decor of a tank. I was impressed with cleanings of the tanks, which was a pleasant surprise since many other fish stores have that overwhelming unpleasant fishy scent. This leads me to believe they take good care of the fish keeping things clean. As far as other pets, I saw parkeets and finches. They also offer a wide selection of bird food, treats, and other related items. I suppose the 2 snakes, trantula, two iguanas, and a couple reptiles classify as part of the pet selection. There was a couple hamsters, a gerbil, two rabbits, and 4 different sizes of mice or rats, which are evidently feeders, but how or why I know these are sometimes purchased as pets. There is shavings, food, bowls, etc for all the animals mentioned above. They have a small space for hermit crabs and the supplies they acquire that rounds out the list. There are two small Daushand dogs to whom I feel were the owners since they were behind the counter. I didn't any signs about grooming, so you may want to check on that. I purchàsed 2 frogs, and happy to say they are healthy, and it's been over a week. The prices are reasonable, which I thought they wouldn't be since it's a small business in a small town. The main dispointment was the personality and attitude of the owner. She was rather grumpy, and seemed annoyed by me taking my time and observing the fish. I felt as though she wants you quickly look, purchase, and leave instead of browsing before you buy. I asked for a certain frog, like I have asked for fish before on other stores, picking which one from the school I wanted. I tried to ask and tried to show the ones I wanted but she keep her stance solid, directly in front of aquarium blocking me from identifying the one I wanted so she stir them up, and just grabbed the first she had a chance too. I guess hoping her stance blocked me from seeing her actions. I would give the store 5, had the owner been more polite and allowed us to enjoy some time browsing and enjoying the well kept aquariums and fish. It didn't feel as though there was appreciation of the business we were giving, and would have spent more money had she allowed us time to make a spending decision.

Small store but I like buying local.The good: We bought a baby lionhead. The lady was helpful and even checked sexes on the rabbit for us the rabbit we got seems really used to being handled so that's always a plus taming a rabbit is time consumingThe bad:a few of the tanks had some dead fish hanging out and that was kind of meh but it happens I suppose everywhere.The ugly: My husband noticed the rabbit we purchased had a runny nose when we were heading home from purchasing him Saturday and I just got home from the vet today (monday) and he has a uri transitioning to pneumonia. It's my fault I suppose for not really checking out the rabbit fully but do take care and ensure their health before leaving. I'm super attached to this little guy so I hope he pulls through.Conclusion: I'll go back if I'm looking for a bunny again but I will ensure to spend time double checking health before walking out the door.

Went here with my boyfriend to look around. All animals looked sick had no food in bowls and dirty water. Wish had money to rescue all the animals. Lady was rude when I was leaving. No have nice day or nothing. Don’t go here unless you want a sick animal.
