Lynn is amazing. She takes care of her bunnies in a way that keeps them happy and healthy. Their coats are so soft and the bunnies are the most docile. We have 3 little boys and they pick their bunnies up constantly and play with them. The bunnies just allow it! They don't mind at all. Amazing lady with amazing bunnies!

Our previous kennel closed, so this was our first time using Hideaway. We were so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and the way the people there seem to really love animals. They checked in with us several times to let us know how our girl was doing. They sent her home withe some new toys and got a great picture of her. You can just tell how happy she was. I work from home and it's hard for me to be away from my girl, but I take comfort in knowing she's well cared for when I'm gone.

Absolutely the finest souls and the finest facility! Our dogs are loved, safe, happy and healthy .... all while surrounded in nature and lovely private runs! We adore Hideaway, but most of all, we are thankful for the wonderful people there there who love our animals as their own. I could not submit a more glowing review! They are simply the best.

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. After boarding our dog here and went to pick her up she was making a coughing sound as they brought her to us and we thought it was just from her pulling on the leash and choking herself. However, on the ride home she was still doing it and lasted throughout the night and progressively got worse. Called the vet the next morning so she could be seen to find out what was going on with her. We were informed she had kennel cough. I was told to inform the boarding company and let them know as well. When I called I spoke to a staff member and she sounded shocked to hear it and that they hadn’t had any complaints from other owners. They would start making preparations for this since it’s highly contagious. She told me she’d let the manager know and have her call me back. “Melissa” the manager called me a told me pretty much the same thing as the other staff member said, that they had no other complaints. And due to the numerous variations of the virus theres nothing they can do. It’s an airborne virus, so basically it’s covid for dogs. So on top of the $300 boarding bill I’ve got a $225 vet bill now as well because of their negligence. For the time she was there she had to of got it from them. Oh, was also informed that she didn’t cough not one time while she was there. So I guess she must of picked it up in the parking lot on the way to the car. The manager also told me it’s like sending your kids to school or daycare. Those are the chances you take. Well on that note, I will not ever bring my dog back there again.

I boarded my dogs with Hideaway Kennels for a few years and only stopped because I moved away. I felt compelled to share my experience here because my most recent experiences with this staff have been above and beyond wonderful.Both of my dogs liked Hideaway, but I always felt like they were in great hands because this staff knew my pups as soon as they walked through the door. We were always greeted with a smile and treated as familiar friends. Upon moving, I found out that my older dog had cancer, and I shared this news with the staff. They showed tremendous care and empathy and sent us off to our new home with a few complimentary treats. When this same dog eventually passed, I shared the news with this team and was beside myself when they sent us a care package--even knowing that we don't live in the area and can't use them for boarding anymore.That is exemplary care and service, in my opinion. I hope you will support Hideaway Kennels--I promise they will show your fur babies love, attention and care. These are the kind of people you want looking after your pets.

I couldn’t go out of town if it weren’t for Hideaway Kennels. Both of my dogs are escape artists, proven at two different kennels, and they love going to Hideaway. I can leave them there knowing they are having a good time. And safe.

We have had our dog at Hideaway several times over eight years and this has been the worst experience ever! We always have requested a suite w/o any issues. This time, we viewed the suite with the TV off and the door that opens to allow your pet to go outside, very difficult for the worker to open. We were ensured (by very unfriendly staff) that the TV would be working and the door will be open all day, and clean bedding will be provided. Nine days later, we picked up our dog, paid $40 a night, went home, checked the bag we had packed with enough greenies, snacks and our dog's favorite blanket only to find that none of the snacks were touched and the favorite blanket was damp and smelled of urine. I immediately called with the question of why did this happen??? I said I was very concerned and disappointed. Meagan said she would check with the person responsible for our dog's care and call me back. I never received a call back. Very sad lesson learned : (

My dog gets super excited when we get to the stop sign before turning onto the road Hideaway Kennels is on. He loves the staff there and is always ecstatic to see them. He has grown up with them after all! They are always so friendly and helpful to me, and I know when I leave my dog there, I don't have to worry about getting a phone call that he has been hurt, like happened at another daycare. The dogs Don't play together (for safety reasons, unless you bring multiple dogs and want them together) but they can see eachother and hear eachother, and mine was having fun running with the dog in the next yard. Even with a fence between them, they were able to interact and have fun, but without the safety concerns of other daycare facilities. I really can't say enough good things about Hideaway Kennels and their amazing staff, but the big smile on my puppers face when I pick him up, says it sll!

1st visit for my 3 boxers, all I can say is when I picked them up, they were happy smiling babies. All 3 were pampered with a bath, nails done amd ears cleaned. They looked and smelled great!I can't say enough about how happy this makes me.They will be back!

I have used this kennel for many, many years. My parent used them when they had a fur baby and referred the kennel to me. I am so grateful for this place. They are so kind, dependable and wonderful to my animals. My dog actually gets excited when she identifies that we are on the way to Hideaway. Thank you Hideaway Kennels for all the LOVE you give our fur babies when we have to travel. You are so appreciated and we are so very Grateful!!!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Hideaway Kennels. My cousin recommended this place to me after we had to quickly leave Charleston due to Hurricane Matthew. I am so glad she did. The staff was so friendly when I dropped off my 2 pups I was at ease. I have never had to kennel my dogs before, and one of my pups I have had for 10 years. I was very nervous until I saw the facility and met the staff. The facility is located on a very beautiful piece of land, with amazing views of the mountains. It is very serene and peaceful. When I arrive at the facility the owner had just got back from going to get carrots and corn for a bunny they were taking care of. I instantly saw how much she cared for the animals that were kenneled there. Everyday when I called to check on the dogs, I spoke to the staff member that was directly taking care of them. They were honest and told me that one of my dogs was having anxiety about being in a new place. I was so glad that they were honest and doing what they could to make my pups more comfortable.On Saturday I called to pick up the pups and was accidentally told they were open till 6pm. It was an honest mistake as they are open to 6pm Monday-Friday. When I arrived and found they were closed I had an epic meltdown, from all the traveling stress. There was a worker there checking on the pups and was so kind and generous to let me take the pups home after hours. I couldn't thank her enough for letting me have my dogs. I felt that the staff went above an beyond for me!!!!

Staff was very friendly and reassuring. However my dog came back anxious to get out and hasn't ate in 2 days. Seems very depressed. Although i read it's normal for dogs to be depressed after a kennel stay, i just wasn't prepared for this. I guess i just expected him to be more happy after the promise of him being well cared for. If this continues in the next couple days, i will have to take him to the vet and I'm not excited about it.

These kennels have always been dependable for us and our fur-babies. We are grateful to them for taking great care of our dogs when it's time for us to take off and visit family or when we delivered our son and had to stay in the hospital. I highly recommend them. They have the perfect system for our dogs needs.

After many attempts to find a kennel for our very playful, strong, and stubborn 3 year old fur baby I called Hideaway Kennels and found an open slot for the busy week of July 4th. We had never used them in the past and I was so relieved to learn that they had an open slot and many outstanding reviews online. Our dog was to stay here for the week and enjoy some time in a swimming pool as well as being groomed. My decision to put him here was probably one of the worst decisions that I have ever made. I parked his food and measured the amount that he was to have to last him just for the time we were gone. We also bought him a new toy identical to his favorite one and a box of treats and 3 rawhides with instructions on how much he eats. While my family was away at the beach we received a message that they were unfortunately unable to groom him because he would not sit still. This was a shock because until this point we had always been told he did wonderful for the groomers. When we finally arrived home and went to pick him up I was horrified! He raked of urine and was so thirsty that he could not stop guzzling water for over an hour. He even tried to drink his bath water while we gave him 3 baths to try to rid him of the stench. His toy had the same smell and had been given to him with the plastic tag still on it. We received over half the container of food I had sent for the week back and over two and a half of his rawhides. The entire box of treats were gone however. We ended up throwing his toy away along with his rawhides. The same Kennels also housed pets of two of our family friends the same week because I suggested them because they had openings. One of those pets came home with a major rash and had to be treated by the vet and the other also had some major issues requiring multiple trips to the vet. None of our animals had ever experienced issues before. My dog to this day has anxiety about being groomed and tries his best to fight it when he never had issues before. I just don’t understand how you can claim to take care of animals when clearly the three that I know for a fact had been placed in your care that same week were mistreated and not fed or watered properly and all three had major issues that still affect them to this day! I would not recommend them to anyone even as a last resort! Better off taking your beloved pets with you than leaving them here!

They keep both our dogs phoneix and stratus . To be honest they can both be somewhat of a handful and these guys are able to handle them . I myself am a pet groomer for over 15 yrs and am more than familiar with both grooming and boarding , as we used to board at places I've worked before . Both our girls stayed a while back , and then again for three nights . This last time I was careful to pay attention on the way there to any clues or behavior changes in my dogs as they arrived at the kennel such as nervousness, shaking , or refuses to walk in . None of these happened. Both my dogs were happy to jump out of the car and go right inside . This five stars speaks alot because I am so picky over my dogs .but I have learned if my dogs trust this place , I can also . We forgot food this last time but when we picked up our dogs looked well fed . They didn't run to water once we were home etc , so this tells me all was ok . They are great to fit you in at last minute boarding and I do highly recommend this place .thank you for keeping our girls safe

Took my rot and pug to these people and they made me feel totally comfortable about leaving them behind while we went out of town. Both of my dogs were so happy after pick up. It made me me feel really good that I was able to have such good care taken of our extended family. Definitely recommend this place.

We have taken our large Alaskan Malamute here 3 or 4 times. Hideaway is very clean. They have several sizes of kennels so they can accomodate small and very large dogs. Staff are friendly. All kennels have indoor and outdoor areas which most kennels do not have. We like that our dog can go outside when he wants to. I would have given them 5 stars but their hours are a bit inconvenient. Sometimes we have had to bring our dog the day before or pick him up the day after as they open later and close earlier than most kennels. However I do highly recommend Hideaway!
