I was not very impressed with the front end leader. She had no personality and not one greeting or smile. She pulled the gentleman off of the register to have him sign a paper and the girl that took over for a few minutes wasn't any better. However the gentleman was nice and friendly. The produce needed a better presentation aka lettuce was not fresh. Also one of the car pick-up carts were just sitting in front of the frozen food door with bags on it. I had to move it twice to get to the French fries and hash browns. This was Wednesday afternoon March 13th. Other than that it was okay.

They always run out of food, They don't have fresh seafood, There are only a few registers open and no Self-Checkout option. The Food Lion in Southern Shores, as well as the Food Lion in Moyock are a lot better than this location.

Great staff! Doesn't have everything you might want, but since it is the closest grocery store, it is amazing! Again, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I appreciate that!

There was a holiday crisis looming inthe not so distant future at store 1220 when what appeared to be an angel stepped forward in asm fashion and introduced herself as tomera. This manager was just clocking out when the issue arose and she didn't even think about inconvenienceing her life and free time so that my crisis was quickly and conveniently averted. I will forever be in her debt

This Food Lion is so well stocked!! Shelves are packed, neat, and organized. I went to 3 Food Lion's looking for chicken backs and this was the only Food Lion to have them! So, I of coarse bought a bunch of other stuff: Gorgeous Ribeye Steaks for only $7.99 a pound, lots of fresh produce, cheese, crackers, and more. Was my 1st time ever in this Food Lion, and I will definitely be back.

Shopping was quick and easy as always. This is my local shopping mart and they have a very small selection and no variety of wanted items. Coffee for instance, has been a growing trend for both adults and younger adults and they have a very small section for cold creamers. They also do not have Starbucks creamer. I use to shop daily here but now I drive 15 minutes past this store to shop at WalMart or the Foodlion in Southern Shores.I do wish they carried more variety of products. Maybe allow a Younger Manager to order and or get inputs from the younger generation.They are also ALWAYS OUT OF WHIPPING CREAM AND CERTAIN MILK. You would think that if you have a weekly issue of running out of specific products, then you would start to order more. But this store does not.They’ve done small improves in other aspects and the staff is extremely helpful and nice and very awesome with young children. But more variety would be absolutely appreciated and you would see a lot more business!

This is for the Grandy location …,The cashiers are always so delightful, and have a smile for you, and will make polite conversation.BUT… most of the people stocking or working the deli or working the meat department or working the produce are rude and if you ask them a question, or if you need help with anything, they act like they are so put out to help you.Last week when I stood at the deli to have some meat sliced, when the girl behind the counter finally looked at me…. Instead of saying something like, “may I help you? “…… her response was….” you need something?” And it was not set an a friendly way either.Like I said, the guys and gals behind the registers are always so nice. It’s the other people that make you feel like you were not welcome.The other locations, as in the Southern Shores, KDH, Nags Head locations, have a wonderful staff in all departments.In those other locations, the staff always goes that extra mile to make sure that their customers leave their store, happy and feeling as if they matter.I will drive down to Southern Shores any time to avoid The rude staff in the Grandy location.

Absolutely not the inclusive environment that it claims to be. What Sharon Bane did to me was grossly unprofessional. With the mind blowing lack of ethics and integrity, it's no wonder the turnover rate is so horrible.

I actually use to like this store because you could tell even though there weren't many employees as everyone is short staffed right now, the employees that they did have really tried to do it all, all by themselves...it was inspiring! Unfortunately tonight I witnessed what I can only assume was a new manager in the evening? It was very late at night and she was wearing a white shirt, never seen her before, and while all the other employees were busting their butts trying to get things done this woman was doing practically nothing. at. all. I can't imagine how she keeps her job there. I seen other employees literally sweating, and this lady was practically a wet floor sign. Do better.

The employees are are fine. But the shelves are bare. It's amazing that all of the other Food Lions north and south of this location are fully stocked while this one looks empty 7 days a week. Fill it or close it.

Nice. Very clean and well stocked. Super easy to find things as this store is well laid out with clear and distinctive departments. Large decorative signs are displayed in each section visible as soon as you walk in. Still low competitive prices, so that's always a plus. Food Lion is moving up in the world!

I just want to take a moment to give a big shout out to the Food Lion Grandy employee who never fails to greet each and every person coming in the door, asking how we are, always pleasant, kind, helpful, and genuine. He is a very special young man and he should be told how much he is appreciated. I gave him a tip and encourage others to do the same. Thank you for keeping this awesome young man on your team!!

Cashiers are always super friendly. Recently, my favorite cashier was spoken to harshly by a manager in front of me for no apparent reason. Patty always has a smile and a kind word for me! Clean and organized. Wish they carried frozen skillet meals

Actually I used the pharmacy this visit (which was about 5 days ago) and not the grocery store itself. I was there to receive my 2nd dose of the vaccine. I had an appointment, however they took me about 10 mins early. Everything was very efficient from the paperwork right down to getting the shot itself. Recommend this pharmacy!

Most of the employees are pleasant and smile at customers. Since remodeling, the choices have improved but there are still many things not carried. Placement of ideas sometimes don't make sense marking them hard to find.

Customer service in the pharmacy is wonderful. But at the registers when your checking your groceries out there are some cashiers that just toss the food in the bags not paying attention to what they are doing. I bought cupcakes and the young man tossed them in the bag sideways and they got smashed.I pointed out to him they should not be put in bag that way. I was upset. He did not offer to go get new ones, just said I'm sorry. Well at least he did do that.

Store is clean , store is remodeled, Worse layout for shopping I ever seen from any major chain . And deli cooked items are few and sorry at best. NO WING BAR No diet rite cola on shelf. Since remodeled fewer of there own brand items . (Like ice Tea) . This place Just get worse over time.I drive to kitty hawk food lion to do weekly shopping. SMH . Staff is rude at best .

The variety of baby food is non existent!And there's practically no organic baby food or snacks at all!! I hate that I have to go all the way to Walmart to get what I need even though it's way cheaper. What's with the constant no formula(Enfamil nueropro) on the shelf either!!??

Prices are very reasonable and employees are super friendly and helpful. My one request is that they bring back the shopping carts with the two seater kids"buggy" in the front, allowing mother's with small children the ability to shop for the next few days and have ample space to put the purchase and safely contain our children who are with us shopping. On Wednesday evenings, Channing, an employee there, always makes my day brighter. Such a wonderful young man and I always look forward to his smiling face and kind words.
