Small place but very clean. Waitress is always very friendly. Food is always good and they have some fun and interesting specials. My husband tried the chili mac burger and said it was excellent. Has become a favorite and worth the drive.

It's a good location for a restaurant and glad to see the building, is still being used till this day. Course I never ate their but, from the people I know that has said the, food is excellent. I need to get in there and try it out for sure!! I know they are only open, certain day's and hour's. 5 stars from the people I know that tried it.

The Green Wave Restaurant is an awesome place to eat! Love their breakfast and you can rest assured the place is clean! Always a very high sanitation grade! Friendly staff always and they serve breakfast till 10:30 for the last sleepers! 😋If you haven’t tried this place, check it out, you won’t be disappointed! Also a bakery upstairs with fresh, delicious cakes, pies and pastries!

Great to have a local, friendly, neighborhood full service restaurant to go to for breakfast, lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. We will definitely take advantage of that regularly. The ingredients tasted fresh and the food freshly prepared. I think it is a little more comfortable to eat downstairs rather than upstairs. Prices are very reasonable for these times ... $20 - $30. per person included food, wine and tip.

I was not impressed. I ordered a club and okra. The waitress came back to say they were out of okra. I ordered French fries. She brought me a club and corn. She exchanged the corn for fries. The fries were greasy my club was dry. It had no mayo or mustard at all. The atmosphere is sports related and okay. I was there at 6:00 pm on a Wednesday. There were 2 other tables there. My friends got chicken fingers and they were greasy.

Definitely won’t be coming back here. We had high hopes but the food was mediocre at best, we waited over an hour for our food, I didn’t even receive what I ordered and they gave my husband the wrong side. We of course didn’t take it out on the server because she was trying, but next time I’ll eat a grilled cheese at home at save $70 (two kids, two adults and no alcohol was $60 and we left $12).

Prices were good, friendly server but 45 minutes to get eggs, sausage and hash browns?? And one plate was cold because it was put in the window long before second one was done. Only three other tables ahead of us. One family got up and left because they had to go to church. Another irritated over waiting so long.Better figure it out or won’t make it!

I gave them 2 chances to get it right! 1st trip we waited 45 minutes for 2 burgers and fries and a meatloaf with baked potato. The potato wasn't done and room temperature. 2nd trip 1 of 3 dishes was served and we were informed the meatloaf needed 20 minutes to cook so we changed to Hamburger steak with gravy. We had waited 30 minutes at this point and 20 minutes later our food came without gravy. We asked 3 times over 15 minutes and kept getting " the cook is warming it up" we left and never got the gravy. Another customer had to go to the counter to ask for a refill while the server's were talking and on theirphones behind the counter.

Stop here if you want a great breakfast! The chocolate gravy and biscuit is definitely a highlight of the menu. My husband and I both enjoyed everything we ordered. Perfectly crisp bacon, livermush (better than it sounds) fluffy biscuits, maple butter for the pancakes. There is a great little bakery too with cake pops. Everyone was so friendly in this family owned restaurant. I'm so thankful we were able to stop in on our way through NC.

Was not what I had expected. Got a tiny bowl of potato soup and it cost 7.99. Their texas toast was a half a piece of loaf bread. Waitress was nice but to expensive for what we got.

The food is really good! It's definitely worth a try. If you want really good food this is it. Especially around Morganton! Not a drinker but had one the best looking bars I've seen upstairs.

We stopped at this cute little restaurant on our way through town and were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of food. The green wave has the wonderful service of a small town, family restaurant that you expect and they are very tentative. The fresh burger was excellent and others wouldn't stop raving about the yummy dessert. I believe they had pumpkin cake with maple syrup icing. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area!

This place is always a fun, quaint stop when I am in town. The staff was nice and helpful and the food was incredibly southern and delicious! The decor is absolutely local, but you don't have to be from around there to feel welcome! It's always nice to be in a booth and see a train roll by, no more than a stones throw away!

Had a traditional southern breakfast on Saturday morning, bacon, eggs, tomato and toast, it was delicious and not expensive. Make sure you go up stairs to check out the old woodwork. Wondered over to the bicycle store afterwards and was impressed with the knowledge and selection of parts. They also had a full size jeep and a truck bed in there for displays.

Excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Simple menu, but good food served by a friendly and efficient staff. Prices are very reasonable. The facility has been completely refurbished - nicely done, it is clean and well maintained.
